I stop here a couple times a month for breakfast and usually order the black bean, egg and cheese breakfast wraps, which are pretty tasty. I appreciate the fact that I have healthier breakfast options in addition the regular breakfast fare. They also carry pretty good selection of sandwiches and salads(although I’ve only ever had breakfast) and the prices are reasonable for the area.

Been here a couple times for breakfast. It’s nice a quiet and located next to Starbucks. I would recommend getting your coffee there and then getting a sandwich here. They have coffee here but it doesn’t look like it’s their specialty.(Coffee mate) and 2 types of coffee. Their breakfast sandwich if you get it on a big biscuit it just standard white or wheat is only $ 2.99. That’s a deal in DC! That’s cheaper than McDonalds lol. This place gives you the most meat of any breakfast place in DC. Not sure about the egg as it doesn’t seem fresh cracked. Overall if they just changed a couple things I think this place could be 5 star due to the value. There is definitely some untapped potential here.

Wow, these guys were great!!! My wife had a BLT and I had a reuben. I normally do NOT have a reuben because I am not a fan of sauerkraut, but I decided to take a chance with these guys. Bottom line, these guys were the REALDEAL. Price was reasonable(considering it was downtown DC) and the quality was VERYGOOD. The location looked getto, they are not set up for having people to dine in. So do not expect to be able to sit down and eat there. But other than that, the food *definitely* made up for it.

I work in the same building as the deli and visit here from time to time. The veggie sandwich is a-ok, better than most options in the neighborhood. The service is prompt although a bit longer than potbelly or roti nearby. The new owner is super friendly. Overall a good option if you are tired of the usual neighborhood chain options or just are in a rush.

When you work in the same location for several years, new lunch options are always hard to find and while Hudson Deli isn’t new to the location, I did just recently discover it existed so I was definitely interested in giving it a try. This place is nothing to look at, it is small place right off the lobby of a building, so definitely a grab and go kind of place. The guy behind the counter is ridiculously polite, everything is sir this and sir that. The menu is what you would expect in any deli, an assortment of hot and cold sandwiches are available, they have breakfast and lunch options and they clearly cater to the professionals in the surrounding area. I tried the Angus burger and was pleasantly surprised, for a second I could have sworn I the cook about to make the burger in the microwave but I was mistaken. The burger I received was delicious, nice size, good flavor. The free toppings you receive are substantial, they give you tomatoes, lettuce, mushrooms, onions, cheese, all the staples of a nice burger. While this deli is nothing extraordinary, you can still get a decent lunch at a reasonable price. Definitely worth the visit.

Hudson Deli has changed hands after the terrible death of one of its owners just before Christmas 2012. Menu has changed and new folks seem friendly enough, but I really miss the lovely and friendly couple who used to work there.

Standard, just OK deli place in DC. Nothing great about the sandwiches or the selection. I got their buffalo chicken wrap here and it was just OK– chunks of chicken, tossed in an orange buffalo sauce with some romaine lettuce chopped up. I wish they would have cut my sandwich in half, I had to go looking for a knife to do that.

The one star is for the roach in the salad. Protein without having to pay.

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese on wheat toast… as simple as it may sound the sammi was AMAZINGLY delicious! Conveniently located right next to a Starbucks, answering your caffeine call and hunger pangs can never be easier. The deli also offers deli wraps, drinks and snacks. They don’t have a seating area inside, but there is a mini courtyard across the street where you can watch amateur skate boarders training to become the next big thing. FYI, they do NOT accept credit cards so have some cash handy.
