Heritage Title was very difficult to work with for the closing of my house. They lost my paperwork several times, resulting in a frantic rush just before my closing date. Additionally, Kathleen did not send the city the proper documentation alerting the city that my house was no longer vacant. This resulted in an additional tax bill of $ 15,000! When I called and emailed her to have her file the paperwork, she dropped the ball, did not do anything for 2 weeks, and then ignored my follow up calls. I was finally able to submit the required documentation myself after giving up on her hollow promises.
I cannot advise you strongly enough NOT to use their services as it may cost you weeks of headaches and thousands in taxes!

I’ve been a Realtor for over 20 years in Washington DC. I am with Coldwell Banker and previously Sothebys, so I us top quality service providers. Over the years there are 3 Title & Escrow companies that I’ve used consistantly. Heritage has never let me down. The staff has always been professional, thorough, timely and accurate. Both myself and my clients have always found Heritage to be very pleasant and easy to work with. Particularly 1^st time home buyers who are typically nervous and sometime need time to understand the process and documents being signed. Kathleen, Rachel and Stephen have always taken the time to focus on the client and to explain the details. Settlements typically take about an hour unless there are lssues that can araise between buyer and seller or lender. Wheather my clients are familar with the settlement process or 1^st time buyers, Heritage has been consistant with providing a professional attitude and comfortable environment. I have used Heritage for over 25 years both personally and professionally; and I recommand them to you.

I used them for several of my purchases and just recently for a refinance on my condo. They are very easy to work with, deliver the paperwork on time, and have reasonable fee structure.
I never feel rushed when I’m at a closing, just the opposite.
Rachel, Steve, and Kathy have all been wonderful.

The company was more interested in having us sign the papers quickly and not ask any questions. Buying a house is a big purchase for many first time home buyers and there are questions I would like to ask before putting my signature on such a big purchase. We felt rushed when we tried to understand what we were signing, and we felt the staff was unhappy because we asked questions on what we read. I will choose other title companies for my future reference.

Have done several closings here. Rachel and Steven have always been smart, efficient, friendly and responsive. Camille is helpful whenever you need to dig up something from years ago. Top notch staff. Good location.
And unlike other companies I’ve used (at the suggestion of others) Heritage is still around through the downturn. Good people who know how to do their job.

We’ve used this company twice now. No complaints. They seem to have their act together, and all the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have really nice original art on the walls. Oh, and there’s a parking deck literally across the street, so parking is no problem. You get your ticket validated at the desk and parking is free.
