This place used to be the nice place in 9th street. But then when the manager who used to own or share holder left this place when part. Management 0. Service was the shitest. People always complaining about waiting to long just to order and over price too. I hope they will change the management.

I enjoy hookah. I also enjoy day-smoking hookah. The majority of hookah spots(Gazuza, Chicha, etc) do not open until 6pm(5pm at the earliest). This place opens at 4 p.m. on Saturdays and has a ridiculous happy hour special. 2 top-shelf mixed drinks for $ 10 and 2 beers(stella, heineken, miller lite, etc) for $ 5.00. The waitress also did not skimp on the grey goose in my vodka/sodas that I ordered. The hookah — the first hookah we ordered was fantastic, on par with or slightly better than hookah’s I’ve had at Gazuza. The second one just didn’t pull right and was too harsh. Ended up wasting it. The hookahs are CHEAP though. For 4 beers, 3 cocktails and 2 hookahs, the bill was like $ 50. I will definitely be frequenting this hole in the wall again. I also enjoyed the medley of Drake tracks playing until they turned the music up around 7p.m. which I really didn’t think was necessary as the place was not crowded and hookah music should be played at a lower volume, imho. hookah is for conversing. Gazuza gets away with the loud music because they happen to also be very clubby, but this lounge can’t pull that off(yet).

Had a blast here last Friday night! My friends and I decided to partake in some tasty hookah puffs and a few drinks while taking in the cool/fun times atmosphere. We got a great spot upstairs and were greeted right away. We ordered a fruit/mint flavored hookah and a round of drinks. The service here is impeccable, if your drink is half full they are right there to see if you want another. I even got a Heineken on the house! The atmosphere is really awesome, it’s super chill with sexy dim lighting. They have lots of seating and a small area for dancing. The music selection is really random, half the night they were playing a blend of reggae pop music with some hip hop thrown in here and there. I really enjoyed it. The prices are decent for the area. The bathroom is beautiful and very clean. If you’re looking for a cool place to take a load off with a delicious smoke and a refreshing beverage this is perfect! Can’t wait to come back!

I enjoyed the hookah here, but didn’t care much for the music or ambiance. I’d go back just to chill with friends.

Just read the only other review for Expo Lounge and I completely disagree. Maybe ownership has changed over since the last reviewer went. I haven’t been to Expo before this year so I don’t know. Gone to the bar several times. It has always been clean and well-kept when I’ve gone(several different nights of the week). There is a variety of alcohol and it’s all legit to the brand it comes in. My friend and I have actually built up a sort of friendship with the bartenders(all female) so we tend to get more alcohol in our drinks — I don’t know if they typically do that for everyone though. The women’s restroom is also clean kept.

Closed. Was a dump though. The liquor bottles were refilled with less-than-quality likka. .meaning, your Henny was probably Hardy’s and your crown was probably Ol’ Grandad. 16 year old in the kitchen didn’t help anything — neither did switching up the menu at least 10 times in a year. Almost always got served food that was hot on the outside, cold on the inside. .and it wasn’t supposed to be, like chicken fingers. Oh, half the lights here didn’t work, especially in the men’s bathroom, which coincidentally always had one broken urinal. This may be the most poorly ran venue in the entire District.
