Established in 2012.
DC has a long-established skating culture — from jam skating to artistic skating to skateboarding to roller derby: the parking lots, streets, and rinks of the DC area have always been filled with feet on wheels. And we decided that it’s time to have a place for all of us to gather for our equipment and gear!

Adrienne and Yvonne opened Department of Skate in February 2013. They have been skating with the DC Rollergirls for a combined total experience of over a decade. They love talking wheels, parts, bits and pieces, and more!
