DC Kickball offers Kickball in the Washington DC area to young adults to help bring people together and to further the cause of having fun and being social! Players enjoy weekly games and social events throughout our 4 seasons per year. History

Established in 2004.

DCKickball was established in 2004 to bring people together through a love of kicking balls and flipping cups and has grown into the largest Kickball league in DC.

Along the way DC Kickball became a member of the United Social Sports family. United Social Sports pulls various social sport leagues and events together into a larger family to bring more opportunities to connect and have fun and be social to our members!

Business Owner

DC Kickball was started by Carter R. as a way to meet women. True story. Three long years later he succeeded and met his future wife! SInce then DC Kickball has become part of the United Social Sports family founded by Robert K.

Both Carter and Robert were drawn to seeing people come together and create lasting relationships and that really is what DC Kickball and United Social Sports are all about!

Awesome league — well run and fun. We were attached to Kelly’s Irish Times for the after bar which was perfect for flip cup. Definitely will continue to plate DCK!

DC Kickball is a great way to meet new fun people. My bf and I were hesitant to join since I didn’t know anyone but everyone was really welcoming, and I ended up making many many new friends and great memories. Plus the beer drinking and flip cup bonding after the games are some of my favorite memories was a Washintonian :)

I started doing kickball last fall and I really enjoyed it. I was a lil nervous doing till I made some new friends and social with other people. I do feel like some people don’t even show up to some of the games and your doing with few people. I will be doing it again in the summer and fall.

DC Kickball is a great way to meet new fun people. After grad school I was looking to make friends, so I randomly joined a kickball team. I was hesitant to join since I didn’t know anyone but everyone was really welcoming, and I ended up making many many new friends and great memories. Today I think almost all of my friends have come from DCK teams I’ve played in over the years!

True story… moved to DC and knew one person from back home. They said, «you have to play kickball on the mall». I signed up four years ago and have played every season since. STILL THE BEST SOCIAL DECISION I MADE SINCE MOVING TO DC.
Really is 50% kickball and 50% happy hour… very few people from DC, so this is an excellent way to meet some new life long friends.
I love looking up at the Washington Monument on a Thursday evening as the sun is going down from first base thinking «I wonder what all my friends are doing back home right now?»
Whether you already have a team of players, a group of 3 – 9 friends you want to play with, or just joining by yourself, their awesome staff will take care of you and get you all set up during registration.
There are a couple other leagues in DC (think some of them are even more expensive), and I have more people coming from those leagues because they really werent very «fun»,

This is the first summer I played DC Kickball and it will be my last. Although I really enjoyed the people on my team, I felt like there was a lot of disrespect from a lot of other players. I’m going to go ahead and say it, there were dudes on other teams that just made it so unpleasant to be on field. I think we get into this hoping it will not be like our kickball experiences in middle school, and usually during every game, there was a moment where I felt like «really? I thought we were adults.»
DC Kickball, unlike some other city teams, does not hire refs, which I think is fine. Refs are volunteers from teams that are not playing. What upset me the most was that dudes from some of the teams argued every call, not letting it go, ganging up on the volunteer refs. I certainly won’t be playing next season.
