Tasty and affordable Chinese carryout. Great for lunch and dinner, and a sneaky good breakfast sandwich lineup. Not the biggest fan of the cold cuts(very simple ingredients) but what do you expect, right? The location can look foreboding but the staff is friendly enough and the food is quickly made. Call in advance to give yourself a head start, then head over.

Tasty food and good value for your dollar. You can get half a fried chicken for $ 5 for example or a tasty chicken and broccoli for $ 6.40 small, $ 8.40 large(or something like that). They’re open til midnight most days of the week. Of course, this is another place where you have to pay for your food and receive it through bulletproof glass, so if that isn’t your scene, well… I guess just walk over to 11th St

Well, this place is about what you’d expect from a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant in a poor area with steel mesh over the windows. It’s fairly cheap and just about everything you could eat from here will make you want to kill yourself shortly afterwards. Unfortunately, I live just down the block and it’s open late and convenient. The only thing on the menu I’ve found tolerable is the bacon cheeseburger. It’s surprisingly not bad, I mean you’re never going to feel like a million bucks after eating one anyway, so why not? But save room in your trash can and don’t order the fries, they’re pretty vile and will end up there anyway. The most annoying part honestly, is that there are always the worst sort of hood rats in the waiting area. I’ve witnessed 1 actual drug deal and I couldn’t help but take notice another time when a dealer was showing his«friend» how big his dime bags were. Overall, it’ll do in a pinch, but it’s worth making regular trips to the grocery store because no matter how bad a chef you may be, you can pretty much always do better.

I live down the street from this carry-out and would walk here for– wings, fish sandwiches, cheeseburger subs, fried rice and pineapple soda. sometimes the rice is good sometimes not so good. my kids are very picky and they liked the wings and fries from this spot. it stays open pretty late(smart)because there is a strip club right next door. so get a few drinks, make it rain on the cheeks of the strippers then go get yourself a bite to eat. You can walk here or park in the front if your lucky. go inside(it’s worn down) place your order and wait. If your smart like I am, you would call ahead and pick it up. They accept credit cards. not for sensitive stomachs as carry-out food is pretty greasy and fattening. They offer veggie meals but what’s the use if it’s all cooked in the same grease or griddle as the meats. so, if you want typical carry-out, wings, rice, mumbo sauce(you need to add a little hot sauce) fries, «chinese food» and burgers. Besides, Kings– which I prefer over this joint. I’d say check it out. watch out for the fools. They come in all shapes, sizes, sexes, orientation colors and heights. That’s just Uptown for you, everyone has a hustle! god I’m glad I changed the way I eat! Cheers to healthy food made at home.

Located right next store to a sleezy strip club is this whole in the wall of a gem! The fried chicken wings and mumbo sauce are the best i’ve ever had and i’ve had a lot of wings and mumbo sauce all over DC and MD. If you can deal with the unsavory element that hangs around both inside and outside, i would suggest you give it a try. i can’t attest to the taste of the ‘chinese food’ as i’ve never ordered it. But the wings and mumbo sauce are A+++!
