This is for my review of dealing with the customer service at this location after a botched internet order. I ordered an item from Bluemercury’s website. I received the completely wrong item. I called HQ several times, but only got a voicemail. Finally I sent an email and did not receive a response. I sent a second email on another day and still no response. I am completely baffled by their lack of response. This was my first purchase with blue mercury, but I think it will be my last. I would much rather go to Sephora, even though they do not have all the same items. I cannot recommend this location or this company.

I originally preferred the Blue Mercury in Dupont circle under the management of Jess Lucente, which now does AMAZING freelance makeup in the Baltimore wedding. In fact, I am flying Jess into New York to do the makeup for my wedding. I used to prefer Blue Mercury above other makeup venues as they seemed to have more professional makeup artists. However, it now seems that whatever store I walk into, makeup artists are more concerned about their own makeup than that of customers. With this kind of service, I would rather go to Sephora or a place where I could obtain a free gift or discount.

Blue Mercury HQ employees are cheery and amiable; overall, a very professional and well-disposed group of people. I used to work in the building where Blue Mercury’s corporate office is located. Every now and then, I would encounter one or a group of the company’s employees in the halls of the building, sometimes on Wisconsin Ave. or M Street, and every single time, thought about how pleasant the chance meeting was.
