Located on the mouth of the Columbia River, we specialize in sales, installation and repair of commercial marine electronics and communication equipment. Brands include: Furuno, Garmin, Icom, Standard Horizon, Comnav, Simrad, Lowrance, KVH, Iridium, Globalstar, Sailor, Cruzpro, Maretron, Dirigo and many more. We have service personnel that travel up to 2 hours from our Warrenton, OR location to install or repair.

History

Established in 1971.

Because our background comes from working with commercial fishermen we know how hard your job can be and we want to be a valuable part of your operation. We are an active company founded on repeat customers who depend on the people they work with to get the job done and we strive to exceed those expectations every day. Using technology and a staff of honest, experienced people we continually seek improvement.

Jensen Communications, Inc. was incorporated in 1971. Founded by Fred and Juanita Jensen. It was later purchased by Jerry and Bobbie Schwenk who partnered with Jerry and Margie Tomlinson. The current owner, Ron Wright, purchased Jensen Communications in May of 2000. Each successor having worked and trained with the previous owners to continue the experience built with years of dedication.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Gearhart, OR to a self-​employed logging family, I know how hard it can be to make a living on the coast. Hard work and irregular hours coupled with the seasonal influx of business caused by weather is no surprise to me. It gave me a great respect for those who truly work for a living.

I learned early to work smarter and earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science from ITT, Seattle in 1991. Eager to pay my school loans I came back to my home town and took a job on the commercial fishing vessel Nicole. It only took a few months to learn that there was a better place for me, management. I took a shore job as a sales clerk at the local Copeland Lumber and worked through their management program. Shortly after that, I started bothering the owners of Jensen’s to get a job. They eventually hired me and spent nearly 10 years teaching me their business before retiring and selling it to me. I’ve never stopped learning… I love what I do!
