We are here for you when you need medical care for a non-​life threatening injury or illness, as an alternative to your primary care doctor or the emergency room. In most cases, we provide shorter wait times and lower costs than the alternatives.

We treat everything from colds and the flu to injuries and cuts. We also offer physicals, vaccinations, well checks, on-​site diagnostic tests, X-​rays, lab tests, and EKGs. Get everything done in one convenient place!

History

Established in 2011.

Pulse-​MD Urgent Care provides prompt and caring medical care for all of your urgent care and occupational medicine needs in Dutchess and Putnam Counties. Our original location opened in Wappingers Falls in 2011, our second location opened in Mahopac in July of 2013, and our third location opens in Mohegan Lake on November 2, 2015!

Meet the Manager

Faisal A.

Manager

Faisal Ashraf completed medical school in England and did medical work in Senegal. Part of his medical education was at the Northport V.A. Stony Brook University Medical Center in NY. He is currently taking an administrative role at Pulse-​MD Urgent Care and is responsible for business development and insurance contract negotiation. Faisal is a member of the Urgent Care Association of America and is a strong supporter of their mission. He is also founder of Health Care Policy News and is working to make it a mainstream outlet for todays fast pace changes in policy. Faisal has done volunteer work for Seeds of Peace and was on the host committee for the Peace Market for two consecutive years. His favorite past time is sitting on his backyard deck with his family and doing BBQs.

Went there today after a bad experience at excel urgent care in Fishkill. The doctor I believe her name was Dr Reina was excellent in addition to the entire staff. Thorough exam chest X-​ray bloodwork she really cared and listened. I have been fighting a cold cough ears nose throat stuff for two months and i was getting concerned her diagnoses and treatment put me at ease so nice to have such a competent urgent care by my home. Thanks pulse md!

This place is amazing. I go in and get out in no time. The staff is always a pleasure to deal with and I have never had any issue. They even call after a few days to check if I am better. I will always consider Pulse MD in Wappingers Falls over anyplace else. From the time I go in till the time I leave I always am satisfied.

I called here to speak to a clinician regarding a patient of mine having a minor issue with his foley catheter. The staff member who answered the phone was extraordinarily rude. The medical staff refused to even speak to me. In contrast, at Health Quest Urgent Care, I was able to speak to the clinician who explained that it would be best to have the patient visit the emergency department. Fair enough but the difference in the interactions could not have been more stark. It is good medical practice to understand your limitations but a small amount of professionalism would have been appreciated.

I never have an issue when I go here. I never wait no more than 30 minutes tops when other people are there. Or if it’s just me and someone else it’s like 15 min at the most. I did have to wait 50 min once, but they had a major emergency, but after that I was in and out. I prefer going here over my primary doctor. I love the doctors here as well. Dr. Bang is great. Nurses are even nice as well. Place is clean which makes me feel better and I like how they have a sick room for people with a cough. It’s convenient and close to my home and their hours are convenient as well. I have heard people who have had issues, but from what they told me it sounds like they are being difficult because I always have a good experience when I go. I also like that they always give you a follow up call to check on you. My regular doctor never does that. I def prefer this place over any other walk in clinic in the area. My boyfriends goes here now as well and prefers this place over his primary doctor.
