Sauces were delicious. Dumplings reminded me of Flushing Chinatown. Haven’t had good dumplings since moving from Flushing. The noodles were perfect with a hint of ginger. Also the hot oil dipping sauce was fresh and slightly seasoned instead of just oil and pepper flakes. Overall an excellent delicious meal. If only they had xiao long bao it would be absolutely perfect spot as an alternative to driving back to Flushing for dumplings.

This was the best place to eat a variety of Vegan and meat loving location for family members and fiends who enjoy fresh food. There was no wait. Loved the won ton soup and vegetable and pork bums– the noodles were to die for! Thank you for a great meal.

This place is nothing to look at but food is great. Their dumplings are super fresh and made right there. Soups are great as well. I wish the menu was a little more varied but I guess having a small menu allows them to concentrate on their dumplings. Don’t miss this one.

I go here every week for lunch. The vegetarian dumplings, pork & chive dumplings and meatball tofu soup are out of this world good. Everything is fresh and delicious. Cucumber horseradish salad and flavor salad are also very good. Excellent service!

The vegetable, Lamb with Onion, Kimchi, chicken with onion, shrimp cucumber with egg all were delicious dumpling treats. The Hot Green Tea tasted so good like a really good oolong Tea ! Don’t miss this really good spot for homemade dumplings without having to travel to Chinatown in NYC.

The dumplings here are fantastic, but sadly the décor is falling apart a bit. I usually get the mushroom dumplings and the egg dumplings and I love them. Often though the restaurant is empty and the ceiling had bad water stains. I might start doing take out instead.

I had the fried pork chive dumplings. The skin was thinner than I would had liked it for fried dumplings but it was still good. The dumplings was fried nicely(see picture) and was not burnt. The wonton soup was great. I like how the broth was light with some seaweed and baby shrimp in the soup.

More like 2.5−3 stars Two friends and I came on a Thursday night. The place is really unassuming, and was practically empty. We took awhile to order and the waitress clearly judged us, but we were the loudest group(out of 2) and pretty indecisive(my friend especially over getting bubble tea), so it was a bit understandable. We each ordered egg drop soup to start($ 1.99) and a set of 12 dumplings each(I believe our choices ranged from $ 7.99 or $ 8.99). I opted for lamb and onion. Everything came in a timely fashion. I was so surprised at how large the portion of soup was. It seemed pretty wasteful to me, as I ate maybe half of it because I wanted the dumplings more. The dumplings themselves are nothing special. Don’t get me wrong, they were good, but not great. They were also pretty small and fell apart really easily. Eating them was a little awkward because they weren’t quite one bites but too small to break apart. There are four different sauces on the table which is awesome, but there’s no good way to use them. They give you small plates so putting them all on the plate just results in a mess. They would really benefit from soy sauce dishes. Cheap, decent dinner but I won’t be back soon. My friend said his bubble tea(plain black milk tea; they were out of green tea) was delicious though.

I have driven by this place so often but never stopped in. Friday night was looking for something to eat and decided I would give this a try. Before I get into some details there were no pictures of food as I wasn’t disciplined enough to take before devouring… Very simple, blow key dining experience. From the look of it a Asian restaurant In a strip mall with a bowling alley next to a pizzeria all signs that scream«avoid me» but this gem disproves all preconceived notions. Walked in to hear people laughing talking at one table, others eating. We sat were given menus and began to order. My usual Friday night crew of Sis and Bro in law decided to try a little bit of all. Steamed beef/carrots, steamed chicken/cabbage, fried pork/cabbage, house special fried rice(minus shrimp), house special Lo Mein, and an order of wonton soup. The soup came out first and it was smokey and so good. It was a different color than what you may recall you get at a typical take out spot and for good reason l. It was light and flavorful, not full of sodium. Next came out the dumplings which were each out of this world, the steamed were hot, moist, flavorful. The fried was my personal favorite tasting how the ideal dumpling should be. They had four sauces to pair soy sauce, sweet soy sauce(this was everything!), hot oil, and a dumpling sauce(a vinegar type of mustard flavor, watery in consistency). The sauces all paired perfect with the food. The handmade touch was very obvious. The fried rice was again very different then what one may imagine as it was white rice, veggies with sausage. It was not yellow colored or salty in character. I highly recommend it, the only thing that was less than stellar was the Lo Mein as it tasted like ketchup to me. Not sure what the flavor was supposed to be but its what. Kept coming to mind. After all was said and done smiles were shared, dumplings were devoured and it was a great experience. Highly recommend it will be returning again.

Too much to say but I’ll keep it short. My husband and I go as often as possible and even though we have moved away from the area we still make trips to go back. The dumplings are delicate and delicious and the family is warm, friendly, welcoming and always accommodating!

Palace Dumpling is a quaint little restaurant in the Wappingers area located near the Holiday Bowl Recreation Center. They have an outstanding selection of Dumplings, many different types of meat and veggie fillings along with soups and other fare! The prices are decent and you get a good amount of food for your money. Great stop for lunch or dinner!

Overall, location is convenient if you have a craving. Order dumplings by the dozen in over 30 different combinations. Pros: — handmade dumplings and dumpling skins — choices are organized by protein(beef, pork, chicken, veggie) and each has at least three different choices for a combo(with chives or cabbage or mushroom — and more) — kind and quick service — salads are refreshing side dishes. if you are ok with raw onion, order the Tiger Salad. ignore the spicy warning(it’s not), and it’s refreshing. Cons: — hole in the wall ambience, but restaurant pricing — some options are salty — do NOT under any circumstances order the lo mein. It’s orange and seems to have ketchup as a base.
