Came here on a Thursday night. Very quiet, which was kind of nice. Food was pretty good and priced well… All the traditions of a classic Chinese restaurant. I would absolutely come here again. Crab Rangoon was a great appetizer!

Have not been to this place in at least 11 years. It was delicious! Seems like they do mostly takeout, but it was a pleasant place to eat-in. It was a little dark and it would have looked much better if the bar area was lit up… would have given it 5 stars for that! Waitstaff was very attentive. Pace that food was brought to us was good. Soups were delish… won ton not too salty. They kept the fried noodles coming(yum) and the veggie fried rice was perfecto! I had a sizzling seafood dish; quantity and quality was just right. My wife had chicken and shrimp nest… also yummy. And the pistachio ice cream was loaded with pistachios! Nice surprise that this Wappingers Falls landmark still has very good food. Alas, no more choice from column a and column b, but definitely has tasty food. We shall definitely return!

Bad experience… Went in for lunch on a Friday afternoon… Inside was dark, tape on seats, not terrible but not nice… They started us with some fried chips with duck sauce, best part of the meal… After that, downhill… I got the general tso’s chicken with brown rice and an egg roll… The egg roll was ok, the general tso’s wasn’t very good, the sauce was very gelatinous, kind of gross… The service wasn’t great, we waited for a while when they brought out rolls for sauce… The bill was wrong, which they fixed, but I don’t think we’ll return…

Jade Palace is basically an institution in my family. It’s a place we’ve always ordered Chinese food from and a place where you can always expect good quality and seasoning in your food. Consistency is the theme of this institution. I almost hesitate to give a full five stars here because there’s nothing unique about the Americanized Chinese food for the standard customer. But as an omnivore who loves tofu, and a previous multiyear vegetarian, Jade Palace has an extensive set of delicious accommodations for the non-meat eater. Vegetarian steak and chicken substitutes that taste very good and unique, as well as Sesame tofu and General Tsos tofu. The tofu here is fried but for delivery, I ordered the tofu not fried and it was awesome. The sesame chicken, often greasy and overfried at other local establishments, was excellent in our most recent order(that’s my hubs’ go-to). Here, The food is good consistently and you can order online(and customize each dish with notes online too!). Let Jade Palace be on your Chinese food speed dial… it’s earned it.

Decent chinese place. Not the cheapest, but the food taste different than every other chinese place around poughkeepsie. They give a lot of complementary items such as chinese tea, wontons and fortune cookies, which I found really nice. The only complaint I have is, for a little better than average chinese food, it is more expensive and it honestly shouldn’t be. The food isn’t the best ever, but certainly better than your average generic chinese place. Overall, good place, just won’t go there as often because I don’t think«chinese» food should be more expensive.

Literally just finished eating. I ordered the shrimp with snow peas and my girlfriend had a small order of boneless ribs and we shared an order of Dumplings and 2 egg rolls. OK on to the good stuff. The place us extremely clean and very comfortable. I picked up my food and when I walked in everything was very clean, very decorative and the service was on point. The food was very very good. Everything had an independent flavor unlike most Chinese restaurants where everything tastes the same. Very good quality plus they do deliver… I picked up because I live close. This has now become my go to Chinese spot.

Based off of Unilocal reviews we decided to check this place out. Appetizers Eggroll and Pork Rolls. They came out very fast, and the Pork rolls were lethally hot, as if they were microwaved. The eggroll was generic and had no real flavor. For entrees we had Crispy duck and sesame chicken. The entrees were amazing and totally unexpected. Go there for takeout. Stay away from the appetizers. The atmosphere is early 1980s and depressing. Booths are ripped up and worn.

i had heard good things a while ago about jade palace. sadly i did not have that experience. my wife picked up an order for pickup and i dhowed up to pick it up about 15 minutes later. they had said it would be 20 minutes and both a woman and who appeared to be a 10 – 12 year old were on the phone taking orders so i waited patiently they both finished on the phone and still i waited to be acknoledged this went on for 2 more minutes when the woman looked up and said«have a seat i’l be with you as she shuffled papers. 3 minutes later she asked can i help you/i said i was to pickup a order my wife called in. she asked what i ordered and i said i was not sure but i have the phone number she looked at a large bag all ready to go and said nope yours not ready yet so i sat down again to wait 4 more minutes later she says yours is ready and grabbed the SAMEBAG. of now cold food. I decided not to pop a blood vessel over this and just take the food and go . I made a second mistake got home with the food 5 minutes later and had to microwave it to heat it. the general tsaos was bland(even through ordered extra spicy) the soup was flavorless not even salty. and the egg rolls drained 3 tablespoons of grease per roll(totally unedible) the steamed chicken with brocoli was cooked well. the rice was cooked well . if this is a typical nights service i see this place which has been in wappingers for years slip slowly into memory. but in mine it won’t be a pleasant one. site would probbally make a good shoe store or maybe a book store. on a good note it is a couple days later and i never got sick from the food so that is a win

Best Chinese! I always get a mix of dishes because I can never choose between all of the deliciousness! It’s never greasy and their chicken isn’t mystery-ish. Also, if you eat in, they give you fried noodles and duck sauce while you wait for your yummy family style meal.

I have wanted to try Jade Palace for years, but never had the opportunity until the other night. Outside of New York City, most Chinese food is a buffet experience, and the quality is usually not the best. Jade Palace offers a nice alternative to the low class pig-out troughs that most buffets are. My son and I finally got to go on a quiet evening. We were seated promptly(the place was almost empty) and our server was ready to take a drink order. We started with egg rolls, which were fairly standard but were freshly cooked and not too greasy, but they were extremely hot, temperature wise. Just be cautious. Next up was an order of steamed wontons in hot sesame sauce, which was very good. For my entrée, I ordered the beef in hot pepper sauce. This was excellent! The large portion of beef had a slightly charred/grilled flavor, which I like, and the minimal amount of sauce was very light and soy-sauce based; it did not overpower the meat. The actual heat came from a generous topping of grated fresh hot green peppers, which were very lightly stir-fried and served al dente, arranged on top of the meat. This was very different and unexpected, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. My son had the garden variety General Tso’s chicken, which he ate heartily. We shared an order of fried rice, which was fresh and actually fried; it was not the pasty yellow rice that some places try to pawn off as fried rice. Very good overall, I will definitely return when I’m in the mood for decent Chinese food.

It’s not bad Chinese for the Poughkeepsie area; delicious food, not greasy, and friendly(lets face it, most Chinese menu’s are the same – this is no exception. They are a train wreck when it comes to service. If the place gets busy instead of each server having a section of tables, all of the servers service all of the tables so not one of them has a clue what the other has done. If they fixed that, they’d surely have another star on my review.

Jade Palace is one of the best Chinese places in Dutchess County. I love it. I really do. I’ve been going here for the past 15 years — I was raised on it! I’ve never had too much of a problem here. My food has always been delivered on time, little to no mistakes and people have always been kind. They tend to give out free calendars around Christmas and the New Year, too. I tend to mostly order off of the Revolutionary Diet menu now, but sometimes I spoil myself by getting spare ribs, tom yum soup(very good Thai soup), pork fried rice, mu shu pork, and so on. In reference to people complaining about the people on the phone: You can order online now. I am very much a stickler with good Chinese food. It’s very hard to find done right. And Jade Palace does it right.

Placed a delivery order. I gave the girl on the phone the name of the hotel and started to give her the address but she didn’t want it. Well she sent the delivery guy to the wrong hotel. And the he went to the second wrong hotel. 120 minutes later I’m still waiting for my food. Sloppy way to do business all because one person couldn’t take down an order. I swear it was daytime when I placed my order.

This is one of the very few Chinese restaurant in the area where you can sit and order your meal on your table. They have plenty of non-take out meal that you can choose but most of them are not that good. Shredded beef with hot peppers are too oily and peppers are not hot, their mapo tofu is too bland for me, honey walnut shrimp is not crunchy and a bit soggy.

I was really looking forward to looking at the huge menu in person. I had been craving whole-steamed or fried flounder with the traditional soy, ginger, and scallion sauce, and was so happy to see«whole steamed/crispy fish» on the menu. Wompwomp. I’ll explain. I asked how much the price of the whole crispy fish was and the server obviously spit out any number she could think of, «25». We thought it was fair until she proceeded to ask what kind of fish I wanted and making offers of seabass, salmon, etc. «Whole flounder is fine,» I said, «with sauce on the side.» Though it came out hot and crispy, it was paired with a huge side of some slimy vegetable sweet and sour sauce, NOT the sauce I was hoping for(the one I asked the server to confirm for me). My boyfriend ordered the«tea-smoked duck», anxious to taste the smoke on the meat. It was simply fried peking duck. No smoke on the duck and no moisture at all. They literally fried the sh*t out of it. We also ordered a dish of mixed vegetables, which is written on the menu with two options: lunch portion or dinner portion. The server told us there is only one size and it’s «the large». Of course there’s only one size, that’s why there’s two options available, RIGHT? Ending rant/negative review. I’m just seriously tired of how terrible and mediocre the Asian restaurants are in Dutchess County.

This is the best Chinese food that I’ve found in the Wappingers Falls area. The dishes are all very flavorful and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve gotten from there. I love that they give you fresh mustard and fresh duck sauce, both of which are tasty — no annoyingly-hard-to-open packets here! It’s a bit pricier than other Chinese places in the area, but it’s well worth it.
