I got my work done by Dr. Pang, and quite frankly I m satisfied. However the appointment times are always super un-​accommodating. It’s always a hassle to work out. Unless you are not in school or working, it is always difficult to work out a time with them. As a result the schedule always gets delayed. Would recommend thinking twice about this as its at least a 1.5 years commitment

Dr. Peng is the best Orthodontist around — and I have three beautiful adult children to prove it! My children began their orthodontic treatment with Dr. Peng in 1989, 1991 and 1998 — all 3 had 2 phases or treatment and all 3 have the most perfect smiles — still — all these years later — they honestly are complemented on their smiles all the time:) Dr. Peng is so good at what she does– and her staff so friendly –I make sure to recommend her to all. We recently visited Dr. Peng so she could evaluate my grandson for Orthodontic treatment — she suggested he wait a year to start Phase One and we trust her completely — and yes, I will happily pay for my grandson’s Ortho treatment with Dr. Peng — you get what you pay for and Dr, Peng is absolutely worth every penny and then some!

This is the first time I ever write a review in Unilocal,I just took my son for a first consultation with Dr. Peng today, I’m sure Dr. Peng is a experience doctor, after all, she has been practice her dental work in Walnut for a long time, however, my experience with her was not good, she can be rude after she found out I will get a 2^nd opinion, I feel terrible when I left her office.
A advise for Dr. Peng, you are not just selling your dental work, you have to sell your customer service too, I’m afraid committe two years dental relationship with you…

I was a patient of Dr. Peng as well as my two children. Prior to my Invisiline Dr. Peng found two issues in my X-​rays that my regular dentist never addressed. I was very happy about that. Dr. Peng is very professional & personable. Her staff is professional as well. I highly recommend Dr Peng.

Yes, I have bad experience with Dr. Peng. It was worse than negative. To your suprise and to my surprise too. Well, if you think just because you have been treated right then that means nobodyelse could possiblly unhappy with Dr.Peng. I wish you were correct. Because when I paid more than $ 4000 for first phase treatment for my son I was happily expecting to be treated
right as costomer. and all my intention was assist her to help my son going through the tough process.
To all the people who are happy with Dr.Peng. Congradulation! I was hoping that happen to me too. unfortunitely it didn’t and I do not walk into that door commit to one-​year-​treatment to looking for bad experience.
And just like you have rights to express your good experiece doesn’t mean you have rights to question other people’s bad experience. we, who had bad experience in this clinic have rights to tell how we feel too. Dr Peng is amazing. She was able to work with both my son and daughter who had complex teeth situation. While other orthodontists, recommend having my kids wear braces twice — ie put braces on then take them off and then put them on again later. Dr Peng was able to devise plan that they only had to wear braces once. My kids teeth are beautiful.

This place is full of amazing staffs and skillful doctors. I came to this place two years with underbite condition. Every time I smiled I was worried about my smile. That made my look nervous and unfriendly the whole time. Now I’m walking out with brightest smile I’ve ever had in my life. All my family and friends said I’ve changed! Of course my smile now is perfect! And I smile confidentially every time now :))

I am currently a patient of Dr. Peng. I am writing this review to share with you my great experience with this place.
My teeth were in very bad shape. My dentist kept telling me to do something about my teeth at every dental checkup and I kept putting off because finding a good orthodontist is not an easy task and even tougher as an adult. I almost gave up until my co-​worker highly recommended me to see Dr. Peng because her kids, nieces and nephews had their braces done by Dr. Peng and completely satisfied with the end results.
During the 1^st appointment, Dr. Peng clearly explained to me my situation and the benefit for me with braces treatment, but she needed to do more calculation to come up with treatment plan. I felt right away that I was in the right place because she did taken into account of my face profile not only just straighten out my teeth which never brought up to me before from other orthodontists. Therefore, I made decision to start my treatment with Dr. Peng even I have to drive a very long distance to her office.
Now, I am half way through and I can see the significant improvement to my teeth and my face profile. Everything is going smoothly and consistent with the treatment plan. Dr. Peng performs the work on me at every office visit and keeps me well informed on my progress. I am 100% satisfy with Dr. Peng skills, experiences and ethical in her works. Her staffs are professional and super helpfully to work around my working schedule. I have trust in Dr. Peng and cannot wait until my treatment complete.

I’m writing this in response to «Long Z» shameful & negative review of Dr. Peng:
I don’t usually write reviews on Unilocal but after reading the nonsense and mischaracterization written about Dr. Peng on Unilocal I felt obligated to write about my personal experience with Dr. Peng. We’ve known Dr. Peng for many years. She treated my 2 sons (7 years apart) when they were preteen both are adult now… we had a pleasant and wonderful experience with her and her staff. When We took my youngest son for consultation she remembered us and she remembered my other son by name even though years have past since we’ve been to her office. I was pleased and happy. Dr. Peng always demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, she’s friendly and she takes time to explain treatment steps & process.
Dr. Peng doesn’t need my testimony about her good & honorable work. She had a long track records treating most of Walnut and surrounding areas youth & adults. Dr. Peng is a wonderful, caring & passionate person. She’s defined by the love and support of her community.

I’ve been with this orthodontist for about 3 — 4 years now. Everyone here is very kind and there really isn’t anything to complain about. It has been a while since I stepped foot into her office and I have to say that a lot has changed for the better. As an under-​bite candidate, I recently went through maxillofacial surgery. In other words, a jaw surgery or something in the likes of shifting and positioning the inside of my mouth. I knew that eventually the surgery was going to have to take place. Dr. Peng guided me through the ins and outs of what was to come before, during, and after the surgery. It’s amazing how it felt like she was more excited for me than I was for myself. That’s the type of good mood vibrations you get from this wonderful orthodontist. She is more than willing to give it her all to not just select patients, but to all her patients. What I realized the most about Dr. Peng was that she was incredibly patient. I was a no show on a lot of days and I can’t imagine how frustrating it was for her and the staff. I’m talking about 1 year extension of wearing braces because I missed so many appointments. All in all it was nothing but pleasant every time I visited the office.

This place is amazing! All the staff is awesome and very nice. Dr Peng is really professional and knows what she’s doing.
I know lots of people are afraid of those orthodontists who would just suck your money out of your pocket and have you stick around as long as possible, but definitely not this place. You can come in, get your braces, and take them off as soon as you can. They make sure you get the best smile from this place. Love it! Recommend to everyone!

Dr. Peng and staff are truly the best! They are so welcoming and friendly :) They really have your best interest at heart and make sure that your teeth look amazing! Dr. Peng really tailors the care towards your specific needs and really takes the time to ensure that your teeth are straight and healthy!

Not only are they ALWAYS an hour behind but they jab you for every penny you have. They try to sell you on stuff that are unnecessary. Will not recommend to others nor will I bring my younger kid here.

Dr. Peng is fabulous! She really takes the time to explain what the plan is concerning your braces. Friendly, funny, and intelligent, you can’t go wrong with her. Her staff is also nice. Usually busy office, so there can be limited seating at times. Electronic reminders. Reasonable prices. (I visited several orthodontists before coming here.) Several of my friends, and one of my coworkers recommended her. I highly recommend her too.

I came to Dr. Peng as a transferred patient. I was going to another ortho whom just could not figure out the next steps. I was with that Dr for almost 4 years when I decided to go for Dr. Peng. I can honestly say she has been doing a great job and wish I came to her first. She knows what she’s doing and unlike the other ortho she actually works on you herself. My son has gotten his braces in with her. She’s wonderful and can do magic with her extensive knowledge in her field. I recommend her to anyone especially with a tough case like mine.

Yeah the staff is really nice and everything but while I had my braces on the made me have a gap in my front teeth for a month (which I never had before)! And when they changed the wire she said it would go away but it didn’t and I still have a little gap there!

I just recently gotten my braces off and I highly recommend Dr. Peng, her staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only do they specialize in dealing with under-​bite cases (as mine was) but they also use state of the art orthodontic techniques and device on their patients.
This was my second time getting braces and the first time was a bust because the dentist really did not know how to deal with my problem and mistreated the problem. Dr. Peng took one look at my case and knew right away how to treat the problem and explained the treatment options in detail. If you have an under-​bite case then i strongly recommend you go see Dr. Peng for consultation.

Dr. Peng is an AMAZING orthodontist! All these reviews are correct in what they say — her staff truly is amazing and they are always warm and welcoming. Dr Peng herself is very good at explaining the treatment process to you, and as soon as you have any questions or concerns, she is willing to stop and and patiently explain everything so you, as a patient, have full understanding of what she is doing.
For me, it was my second time having braces. I had braces before, but was still left with an underbite that went untreated. My old orthodontist didn’t explain the process fully enough to me, and I was left unsatisfied with my smile because all he did was straighten it and my jaw was still obviously unaligned. I felt super self conscious in pictures and I even started smiling differently and at specific angles to try and hide it. However, around the end of high school, I finally decided to consider surgery as an option, and having heard that many of my friends went to Dr. Peng for their orthodontics (and still had amazingly straight teeth) we went in for a consultation and were amazed by how professional she was and how she carefully explained my situation to me and what my options were. There was no pressure at all to start immediately, either!
I’m extremely glad that I decided to get braces all over again because this experience has made it worth it! Dr. Peng found a way to make the surgery much more affordable for us, and now that I just got my braces removed, I absolutely love my new smile. She was absolutely wonderful and extremely accommodating throughout the entire 2.5 years, so much that even though I’m currently attending college in Northern California, I’ve been flying back on weekends the last two years to make my appointments. In return, she has been accommodating in scheduling me in! Throught the treatment process there were so many nice personal touches that made the experience very personalized.
If you’re thinking about getting braces, and still have doubts, I strongly recommend that you go in for a consultation and see for yourself how professional and friendly she is! You won’t regret it (:

Dr. Peng and her staff are great! I’m so glad that I was referred to her office because I probably wouldn’t have known about it otherwise. I had braces for 2 years when I was in middle school and my previous orthodontist had warned me that my jaw will grow into an underbite and that I’d have to get surgery once it’s fully grown. That’s great that he informed me, but he didn’t do too much else to prepare me.
Dr. Peng, on the otherhand, is extremely experienced with dealing with underbite cases. When she receives pre-​teen patients who she knows will have jaw issues, she gives detailed information about what to expect and prepares their teeth ahead of time. When the patient returns in their late teens/​early 20’s, all they have to do is put on braces for a couple months, go into surgery, and do some fine tuning afterwards (approx 6 mo process +/​-​depending on the case).
However, in my situation, my previous orthodontist didn’t really do any of that, so my process will take 18mo-​2yrs. Gah! Dr. Peng and her staff have been extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgeable throughout the process so far. After my first couple visits, I had my mold and x-​rays completed. They even advised me that I can take all my records and consult with other orthodontists before I sign anything, which I think shows good ethics and real professionalism. However, after sitting with Dr. Peng for my first consultation, I knew that I didn’t have to meet with any other orthodontists. She was extremely detailed in explaining my situation and provided me a couple options to choose from, was honest about what the results will look like for each, and provided her recommendation. Dr. Peng has been very considerate of my schedule constraints and was able to squeeze me in last minute.
Everyone in her office is very friendly, professional, and truthful, which are all things that I can respect. The only thing they don’t have in their office is the capabililty to do xrays. They refer you to an office in west covina. I have no worries about how my results will turn out thanks to Dr. Peng!

Dr. Peng is such a wonderful, caring and friendly orthodontist. About four months ago, I just finished my second round of braces. both with Dr. Peng! The reason why I had to do it again is in no way Dr. Peng’s fault. I had gotten braces as a teenager. A combination of not getting my wisdom teeth pulled out and not properly wearing my retainers had made my teeth move and so I wanted to do it again. This time, I had my wisdom teeth removed first, then slapped on the braces, and now wearing my retainers ALL the time (I actually heard that most people need to continue wearing their retainers for life, if they want to keep their teeth the same).
Anyhow, Dr. Peng only has the patient’s needs in mind. She is a perfectionist and that is a good thing, when you are spending thousands of dollars on your smile. Everyone else in the office is just as nice, and always have a friendly smile, asks how you are doing, and genuinely care about you and your needs. Calling them, and requesting for more rubber bands is no problem (they send them to your house, too so you don’t need to go in the office). I’ve bothered them a number of times, when I had an emergency wire sticking out or popping out, or something scratching my mouth. They always allow me to come in as soon as possible and fix it right away.
Dr. Peng also utilizes the latest technology and techniques to speed up the process, without improvising the effectiveness of braces. 1^st time: 2 years, 2^nd time: 1.5 years. She’s really great!
When I got my retainers, she recommended that I can get clear, invisalign-​like retainers to wear during the day, and to wear the wire retainers at night while I sleep. This is suuuch a big help because I was done with looking like a nerd.
