Dustin and Kim run a great tree trimming company. I’ve used them for quite a few years and they have taken great care of my trees. They are prompt, professional and the folks who work for them are like a family! This year I had Ramon again (one of my favorites) Felipe and Genaro. They reviewed the work to be done, kept me informed of what they were doing (I like to watch) and completed the job in a timely manner. I’ve used other tree companies but Waraner is the Best!!!

The Waraner two man trimming team that was sent to my home were terrific! They met with me, listened and trimmed just the way I wanted. I know workers are supposed to do this but many times they just do what they want. I couldn’t be happier with how the trees look — just how well shaped they are and how they look like… well like trees. I’ve used another service for several years because they were slightly less expensive. Not anymore. Thanks Kim and Dustin — I’ll be telling my neighbors.

Both Kim and Dustin were very friendly and helpful. I chose the company because several years ago Dustin had given me a quick diagnosis of our oaks and didn’t charge me anything. Recently he did work on a number of our trees. I was concerned about the cost proposed, but there was a large, friendly crew, big trucks, and they did a great job. It was well worth the cost. Use them!

We had 2 trees in our front and back yard that he died and needed removal. We also had several trees from our neighbors yard which were growing over our fence and needed trimming. I spoke with Kim on the phone and set up a time for an estimate which they were right on time for so straight out of the gate I appreciated that they respected our time. They gave a very reasonable estimate and were able to set up to do the job within a week. They were prompt once again and left everything clean and looking nice when they were done. They also ground out the stumps. I called them asking if they could grind one of the stumps down further in order to plant another tree and they came back out took care of it in a timely manner with no hassle. Every interaction with the company from the office to the guys in the field was a good one and they have our business for any additional tree service.

We have used Waraner services several times over the past few years for pruning and related tree services. Friendly, professional, on time, reasonably priced and, most importantly, quality work! We are very selective when engaging contractors for all home improvement projects. Waraner consistently provides excellent services. There is no need to look anywhere else for your tree service needs.

Ramon and his crew from Waraner Tree Experts in Clayton came out to my home in Berkeley on time as scheduled and did a fabulous job trimming my large cedar tree. They protected all my shrubs in front of the tree and were very thorough in the cleanup after using their chipper. I was amazed that Waraner could give me a bid based on viewing my tree on Google Maps, but that’s what they did. I decided to give them a go since Waraner’s price was the lowest of the three other highly rated tree trimmers who came out to my property and gave me bids. I highly recommend Waraner Tree Experts. Excellent responsiveness and great work. We had a 30′ tree that was leaning on the house post drought. Waraner brought in the right people and equipment to remove it without damaging existing structures. In addition they did very difficult pruning of a 100 year old Oak that extended over the house. The attitude of their crew was astonishing, considering the risk involved in these removals. Would recommend them unequivocally for the most difficult tree maintenance projects. In addition they obviously treat their crews with deserving respect. Thank you!

What a class team Waraner has in place. I called and spoke with Kim to describe some tree trimming and removal. She set up a date for Dustin to come out and assess what needs to be done. I selected Waraner due to their excellent Unilocal reviews but also because they are certified ISA standard experts. I wanted to be sure to speak to someone who knew about my type of birch trees and advise on what needs to be done to get them healthy. Dustin was very much aware of the type of birch and advised me on what to do.
After his assessment visit, I received a prompt quote via email for the work. Their price was very reasonable as I had received quotes from two other tree businesses. I called Kim back to schedule. Their team arrived as agreed upon and did an excellent job in trimming my birch trees, and removing some dead trees from the yard. They cleaned up the entire yard of the cut branches and trees. Very thorough job on clean up which is very nice to have.
I was very pleased with the results, and the trees look very good now.
Highly recommended and I will use Waraner Tree Experts in the future for any of my tree needs.

I am so pleased with Waraner Tree Experts from estimate which did not change, talking and email with Kim to the 3 men who actually did the work. They all could not have been more professional. The work was done with a plan in mind and at the same time clean up was done. I will bring them back in 2 years without a doubt. I am also pleased from estimate to work done was a week!

Great response times from Kim, Dustin and crew. Thorough estimate and easy to schedule a time for them to come out. The crew was very methodical in their approach to addressing our two Oak’s (blue & live) to be trimmed after going a long time with no maintenance. Only ran the chippers a couple times through the day instead of all day, neighbors really appreciated that! The only issue was some trash left behind by the crew from lunch, which wasn’t a big deal at all. Great crew, great work and will do business with in the future!

Quick response, reasonable estimate, and timely scheduling. We just had several trees trimmed (Bradford pear, Japanese maple, Chines pistache), as well as Ceanothus bushes. They all look great, and we appreciate the Waraner crew’s skill at handling various types of trees properly, including one that needed to be cabled. Also helpful with a few «words to the wise» about cultivation, fire control, etc. This the second time Waraner has been here, and we don’t expect it to be the last.
Update and rating change to 4 stars. Still a fan, but enthusiasm was dampened by an hour picking up small debris. Many small twigs with several leaves were scattered in the yard. Although I’m not sure who would be expected to pick them up, it was a slight disappointment. Also had to prune a few remaining branches. The tree trim looks great though, which is the most important thing.

I called for a quote and received a written quote (which I love) that came in significantly less than the other companies i also got quotes from. Scheduling was easy, and even though I had to reschedule they were great about it.
On the scheduled day of work they showed up promptly ready to go, however, we had a few obstacles to overcome –a car with a dead battery in the way and city street workers working in the same area as my tree — not a great way to start the job– but the two guys were kind and professional, telling me it was fine and waiting patiently while these obstacles were figured out.
After the short delay they jumped to it. I couldn’t believe how quickly they worked — within about 2 hours my huge tree was trimmed down and the canopy raised giving my tree a beautiful new shape.
The overall look of my tree was better than I anticipated. The workers (I forgot their names:() were so fast, efficient and and completely professional. They were done and cleaned up in no time at all. I was completely happy with the entire experience of working with WARANER TREE EXPERTS and would happily use them again in the future.

We recently had Waraner Tree Experts remove two 33-​year-​old Monterey pine trees. We are extremely pleased with the entire process, beginning with their very competitive bid. They arrived on time and had them cut down in about six hours! Furthermore, they completely cleaned everything up, both where the trees were and on the street where they were shredded. We highly recommend Waraner’s!

We just had a large, dead pepper tree removed from our yard and the Waraner crew kicked butt. I’ll admit that I sometimes think that any business that gets a full 5 star review on Unilocal may be playing games with the system, but when we asked for a quote and Waraner was the best quote of all the tree services, we took a chance.
The five stars are deserved. While there was a slight problem with the originally scheduled date, Waraner was prompt to inform us and quickly rescheduled. The crew arrived on time this morning and were ready for the job. They used a crane to remove the major limbs, which prevented damage to surrounding trees/​landscaping, and even ground the stump.
I had a bit of a particular request, as next to the dead pepper tree was an olive tree with extreme sentimental value. A few years ago our neighbor had a different tree service trim the pepper tree overhang across their property and that tree company broke a number of branches on the olive (it was Tree Wise, a company that deserves zero stars). So I was worried that taking down the entire tree was sure to affect the olive. Well, at the end of the day, the olive was unscathed.
So these are your tree service folks… great prices, prompt and professional service and they actually make efforts to listen to homeowner concerns.

I can’t believe it took me so long to write this review! I used Waraner Tree Experts to remove three very large trees from my backyard last August. At the time I had several tree removal companies come out to my home to first give me advice and then a price on the removal of the trees (2 of them were dying due to turpentine beetle infestation) and also advice and a price to plant three new trees. It was amazing how different in price range all of the bids were. (Some were twice as much as Waraner.)
After reviewing all of the bids and reading several reviews on Unilocal I chose to use Waraner. Both my husband and I were extremely impressed with the expertise and efficiency of this company. The Waraner crew started early in the morning, cut down all three trees, grinded the stumps, replanted three new trees, and cleaned up all by 3pm. Very impressive!!!
While the thought of having to remove and also pay for the removal is not fun, it is great to know there are companies, such as Waraner whose services are priced competitively and truly do perform a quality job.

The guys showed up on time and went right to work on the 30′ Pistach tree that extended over into my neighbors yard and also over some recently planted fruit tree saplings. The crew cut one branch at a time, lowered it down with ropes until the entire tree was gone. No damage to my neighbors property, no damage to my fruit trees, I was very happy.
When they were all done everything was swept clean and you couldn’t tell they were there except that the tree was gone. Warner Tree Experts are the only ones I want on my property because they are the very best at cutting and removing trees.

Great service trimming my tree out front! Good price and showed up when they said they would. Did the tree trimming and removed all of the branches. Zero issues! Will be using them next year again.

Let me preface my review by saying that a 5 star would mean that I’m ecstatic and a 4 star review means that my expectations were met.
I had 2 oak trees that needed to be cut down, a Willow that was unhealthy and had to go, another 4 oaks that needed to be «dead-​wooded», pruned and cut back, a fruit tree to be cut down and stump ground, and 1 un-​known tree that needed to be safety pruned.
In my opinion it was probably too much work for one day.
The work was scheduled for the Saturday of a holiday weekend, which seemed kind of odd anyway, but I was ok with it. Leading into the work I found out that my neighbor was having a funeral at his house on the same day. Ugh!!! I talked to Dustin and was assured that the work wouldn’t be intrusive to their plans. Living on a small private street I knew that we should have re-​scheduled, but didn’t (I should have pushed a bit harder to cancel). It turned out to be a bad call because their crew ended up sitting for about 2 hours in the middle of the day during the funeral service.
By the end of the day it was a bit of a zoo. They were rushing to finish after the delay, they couldn’t turn their trailer on my street. I actually caught them using my trailer dolly (intended for my small camper) to try to turn a tandem axle trailer that probably weighed 5k plus lbs.
In the end, most of the work was exceptional, but my opinion is that the oak trees weren’t quite «finished». They were pruned back toward the fence line as requested, but they don’t look like they were pruned properly. My neighbor used a different company for his oaks and they look great. I probably could have called Dustin and had him come back out, but part of exceptional service is that you don’t need to do such a thing.
My opinion is that you can use these folks with confidence and I will likely have them come out again under more normal circumstances. I thought their price was very fair.

Being a new homeowner, we turned to Unilocal to find a good tree trimming company to trim our 4 Red Iron Eucalyptus trees in our front yard and boy are we happy WE DID!
I emailed Waraner Tree Experts and within 30 mins I had a response from Kim Waraner, She was extremely pleasant and professional. She said she would send someone out to inspect our trees and give us an estimate on how much it would be to keep an eye out tomorrow for and email.
Without doubt I received the estimate the following day! The estimate was clear with line items of everything they suggested. We were a little skeptical because they suggested removing all 4 trees, so we shopped around with other companies. They all came to the same conclusion; the trees had to be removed!
So we decided to move forward with Waraner Tree Experts. WOW they are what they claim, Experts! They had the best quote and we the most professional company we spoke too. Once we booked our date and time it was set! the following day I received an email from Kim asking me if we wanted to bump up our appointment since they has a cancelation, so we said of corse!
That Saturday we had a party in the PM so we didn’t have time to spare. Kim said they would arrive at 8AM and sure enough 7:50AM they pulled up! Punctual! The tree removal shouldn’t take more then 5 hours they were done by 12:30! Wahooo!
They workers were very respectful of the surrounding areas! They went to 2 homes and asked if they could move their cars so nothing would happen to them. Plus they put out cones out and kept the area very clean.
WE WERE SUPER IMPRESSED!
We will absolutely call Waraner Tree Experts in the future for anything tree related!
