Guess I caught them on a bad day. I asked the price to smog my car three times and got three different prices. $ 99.00 $ 69.00 and $ 58.00 The guy also said «oh yeah and CA charges $ 8.25 for a certificate.» I got the feeling he didn’t want my business so I went over to:

Made an appointment over the phone for next day at exactly the time I wanted. Car was smogged in 10 minutes and had a fun and friendly conversation with the technician. Don’t forget to mention the Unilocal discount. Awesome.

This visit was a breeze. I was lucky enough to make a same day appt. The gentleman who helped me was very courteous and very professional. He even mentioned that he felt an issue with my power steering and my trusted mechanic later agreed. Customer Service was flawless. I called in the morning at 9am to make an appointment. They were able to squeeze me in for a 10:20am appt. I got there at 10:15, did my smog check and was in and out in about 5 mins!

Amazing experience! Called same day and they had one appointment left. When I arrived, he started working on my car right away. Not only did he finish the smog super quick (under 10 minutes), he was super friendly! I would recommend this place to anyone needing a smog. What can I say about this place that everyone else didn’t already say? Unilocal rules and this place is one of the best services I’ve ever found via Unilocal.
I called on a Tuesday to make an appointment. They probably take drop ins but the appointment system is key to how fast they make the service. Set my appointment for the next day at 10:30AM. Arrived only a few minutes early. Super friendly and professional greeting and service. It literally took less than 15 minutes to in and out the door. I won’t post the price but will say that if you ask for the Unilocal discount it’s well under what I was quoted from several other shops in the area. THANKS!!!

This place is outstanding, they are so fast to get you out in a very reasonable time. The young men that run this shop are so nice and helpful and polite. Andy did my wife’s car several weeks ago and today he went out of his way to fit me in even though I was late for my appointment because of forgotten paperwork.
I was impressed with his knowledge of his craft as he discussed a particular problem and had the the solution for the customer drawn from experience! Very impressive!

This place is great!
I made an appointment for 530 pm. I was done by 525 pm.
It’s not a typo. I showed up at 515 for my 530 appointment, but because they are so quick and on top of their game, they helped me right away.
I didn’t even have time to figure out how the water cooler work when the mechanic said the car was ready.
He even got my car turned around the small park lot so that I could just drive right out of there.

WOW! What amazing and fast service! And at a great price! I’m very happy about going to Walnut Creek Smog.
I had contacted a few other smog check stations, but they were all at least double the price, required a lot of documents, and were just a hassle all around.
Then I found Walnut Creek Smog. I made a same-​day appointment with Walnut Creek Smog. I ended up coming in a bit earlier than my appointment time and was expecting to just wait in the waiting room until my time. They were actually able to do the smog inspection right then and there! The process was very fast, too! The employees are very friendly as well.
When paying, mention Unilocal and the smog check will cost $ 39.95 (plus tax and a small fee for the certificate, so probably about $ 50 when it’s all said and done, which is still much cheaper than other places).
I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I’ll definitely be coming back here.
