I had routine service performed on my 2004 and 2010 Subaru Foresters while I waited.

Just purchased a 2016 Subaru Outback. We weren’t quite ready but a broken car forced our hand. Abraham was amazing from beginning to end. He made everything so easy and made us so comfortable. This was not our first buying experience but it was definitely the best!

My wife had decided on the Subaru Crosstrek and so we started looking. It became clear that these vehicles were popular and in demand and so finding the one we wanted was turing out to be difficult to find. We decided to call over to Diablo Subaru were put in contact with Abraham Seminario. He gave us the info we needed and we drove over there. Abraham was very helpful and was able to locate the car were wanted right on their lot. He showed a lot of initiative in locating our Crosstrek as it was not in the regular online inventory.
The overall experience was wonderful. Abraham and the rest of the staff at DS were very knowledgable and helpful. We were given a very fair value for our trade in which was helpful. We would certainly buy another car from DS without question.

Leased a legacy through here because we weren’t sure if we would want to keep the car. After a year, we decided we loved the car and wanted to purchase vehicle.
Went into W. C Subaru and were told that this is not something that is handled at the dealer. We explained that we did this with a Lexus in the past and it was not an issue. Aaron in finance suggested I called Chase directly.
I called Chase and they said I could either go into a branch and convert the loan to purchase or go back to the dealer and they could do it there. I explained to Chase that the dealer said I needed to deal with them and that they could not do my purchase. Chase said that was not true and if I wanted a more personal experience, to go to the dealer.
I decided to call another dealer and see what they said. I called Fairfield Subaru and also Livermore Subaru. BOTH dealerships told me that it was not a problem to purchase the vehicle and they would be happy to help me. This angered me. I could not understand why Walnut Creek was so hesitant?
I called Walnut Creek back and told them what Chase had told me. I also told them that Fairfield and Livermore said it was not an issue. Aaron in Finance then had Doug the sales manager call me.
Doug called and he did everything in his power to discourage me and my husband from purchasing the vehicle. Doug told me to call Chase and do the purchase with them. I told him Chase said I could go through the dealer. Doug then went onto say that purchasing is «frowned upon.» Huh? I told him my contract says I have a right to purchase and I was choosing to exercise that option. Doug then went onto say that purchasing is inconvenient for customers because there are fees involved. He mentioned a $ 350 fee for something plus other fees. My husband then asked, «if you don’t want to do this, just tell us and we can take our business elsewhere.» Doug proceeded to say that it could be done, but its just a hassle. Wow! There it was. I am not sure if there is not a lot of commission earned or what the deal was, but bottom line Walnut Creek did everything they could to discourage us from purchasing the vehicle. We even mentioned to Doug that both Fairfield and Livermore said they would happily do the transaction. Doug said that he did not believe that and thought they were just trying to get us to go to their dealership.
In the end, Doug said that they would happily sell us an extended warranty. For that, they would take our business?
My husband and I ended up going to Livermore and it was WONDERFUL. Paul Smith in Finance was so awesome. The transaction took about 30 minutes and we were successfully able to purchase our leased vehicle. Oh, and all the fees that Doug mentioned… BOGUS. We were charged $ 10 for the DMV title transfer.
I was extremely dissapointed with how we were treated in Walnut Creek. I never thought that trying to purchase a vehicle would be so difficult. I was literally arguing with Doug trying to give them our business.
My advice, if you lease a vehicle because you want to try it out, DO NOT go to Walnut Creek Subaru. Deciding to purchase the vehicle will not happen.

They repaired the latch. They provided a rental car, wash and vacuumed my car. They are trying.

Went there just to check out the 16 Forester XT. I had no plans of buying a car that day. Couple of hours later, walked out with a brand new car. Adam is the man! Gave me a good deal. Everyone at the dealership is friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this dealership to my friends and family.

Adam was incredible and delivered top notch service! He went above and beyond to take care of me– I felt like he was an agent on my behalf and not an agent on behalf of the dealership– meaning, at no point did I feel pressured, jilted or coerced. I walked away with a great deal on a 2016 forester, traded in my car (with out of state plates) with no problem and overall had a great experience. Was in and out (including test drive of two different models, trade in & paperwork) in 3 hours! I highly recommend Diablo Subaru and Adam if you’re looking for a good sales person.

Took our Impreza in for an oil change and tire rotation, no complaints. Kent J. was professional and helped us as soon as we came in for our appointment. The courtesy shuttle was quick to bring us downtown. And it looks like they threw in a complementary carwash, which was nice. Price was reasonable for dealership rates.

We got our first Subaru here! We opted for the 2016 Outback. Me and my wife were both very pleased with our buying experience from Diablo Subaru and most importantly we’re extremely happy with our purchase.
Dionysios helped a lot making our experience and car choice perfect. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable about their products. He was very patient too with us since we’re first time Subaru buyers, we had a lot of questions and doubts. He listened and made sure that we make an informed decision and this lead us picking the perfect car for us.
I’d definitely recommend this place and go ask for Dionysios. He rock!

Went online & scheduled a 1:15 pm appointment for oil change. Upon arrival I was told it would be 1 – 1 ½ hour wait. Should not take that long for a routine oil change, especially if I schedule online and online schedule show times in 15 minute intervals. Slow, slow, slow.

If I can give this Dealer a 0 starts I would. Be aware! Check prices with other dealer in the area,.This people were charging me $ 1500 for changing my windshield and recalibrate my Eyesight”.Not only the customer service is the worst I had seen but they were pretty much stealing direct from my wallet.
Diablo Subaru.$ 500 windshield eyesight $ 1000 =$ 1500
Subaru Serramente windshield $ 350 eyesight $ 156 total $ 506.
Livermore Subaru Windshield $ 300, eyesight $ 150 total $ 450.
Both Serrammonte and livermore said that If I get a message I should re calibrate the eye sight. Not Only they have bad customer service but also sadly came from management. Be aware! Double check prices with other dealers before say yes to Diablo. Now I know why the name «Diablo».I hope this help others.

We came from out of town, and he picked us up at the train station, the car was in perfect condition, and we were given a great price. Everyone at the dealership was friendly, and treated us like family.

After months of off and on research, I decided that my next new car (in over 15 years) would either be a Subaru Outback or Forester. Since Gayle works for the City of Walnut Creek, we figured that Diablo Subaru would be our first choice for a possible purchase.
The good news is that I’m now the proud owner of a 2016 Subaru Forester. The bad news (for this dealership) is that we purchased it at Putnam Subaru in Burlingame. The reason? Service. Or as one Diablo Subaru employee stated as we were leaving — I’m sorry we haven’t been able to help you, we’re very busy right now. It’s been a long time since I’ve walked into a business and been so thoroughly ignored.
We were able after a time to get a test drive and managed to get into an unlocked Outback to decide that wasn’t the car for us. But even with the former, it took us several minutes to even find someone to return the keys. As Diablo Subaru is still the nearest dealer to our home and work, I hope the Service Department is more up to the task.

Today I brought my car in to get the brakes checked, after making an appointment a few days ago. Long story short there was a mistake made by the service staff and my service took much longer than it should have.
Normally this would end in a bad review, but the staff responded to the problem in an incredibly professional manner. They addressed the issue directly and made right by me. I will always bring my car for service here.

This was one of my most memorable and favorite car purchases ever. My salesman was Eric Holmstedt, this man is amazing. He’s patient, not pushy. He doesn’t push you into something that you don’t need. I am the proud owner of a 2016 Forester turbo and I love it. And, Aaron from finance is awesome also. Aaron made the signing part very easy. He also didn’t push warranties and things down my throat. Great guys who won’t BS you.

My Mom purchased her 2011 Subaru Forestor from Diablo and does all of her service here. She comes in for an oil change between services once every few months, and has never had a problem with the service team to fit her in and check for her. This Saturday she came in for a quick oil check, except this time she must have came on a bad day for one of the technicians who felt like it was okay to be completely rude and condescending to her in front of the entire staff.
This is completely unacceptable, and on top of it my mother is a senior citizen!
I have never experienced such poor customer service, and am just shocked at how a dealership would treat a customer, especially one that purchased a vehicle here.

I had an appointment to place a fog light cover that had fallen off.
I was pleasantly surprised that a new one was placed on my car and i was not charged for the labor or the part/​they put it under warranty.
I was ready to pay but it was great not to have to do that.

If you want to deal with fair and honest sales people, purchase your vehicles from this dealership.
It was a pleasure working with them when we looking for a new car for our daughter.
I highly recommend them as they were patient, professional and no high sales pressure.
