Established in 2012, Feisty Redhead Petcare (Walnut Creek Petcare and Sitting) will love your pet when you can’t. We offer in-​your-​home petcare for all animals, including special needs pets. We also now offer Pet Fitness Plans. We treat your animals the same way we treat ours…

We are fully trained to care for ALL animals, large to small and furry to non-​furry critters and are experienced with giving meds, including insulin for diabetes, and special needs dogs. There is nothing we cant handle! As a member of PSI and PSA, we are also insured and bonded; Laura is also Pet CPR and First Aid Certified.

Business Owner

Laura is an animal-​loving woman, living in the Northgate area of Walnut Creek. She was raised amongst a plethora of animals (furry, feathered, and scales) and has been petsitting since childhood.

In high school, Laura volunteered at Canine Companion for Independence in Sonoma County learning to train and care for service dogs. She also volunteered at Sonoma Co Animal Shelter. More recently, she has volunteered with ARF.

Laura has lived in the Walnut Creek area for the last five years, working in medical sales (orthopedic, laboratory, and pharma). She is both CERT and DART certified and is now Pet First Aid and CPR certified as well.

She has an avid interest in fitness, both human and animal, and has recently added Pet Fitness to her list of services offered.

Not impressed. We booked Laura months in advance for multiple dates. She was highly recommended by a friend. The girl she selected showed up for the first set of dates, but never texted or emailed us updates as requested. For the second set of dates we were informed that a new dog sitter would be taking the first night of our booked dates and another dog sitter the final two nights.
When we got in touch with the new sitters we discovered that they were not affiliated with Laura, but had their own companies. We never did receive the two keys for our house back from the first dog sitter… She said she had passed the key onto the other sitters… Who had no idea where the keys were.

Laura’s ad is very enticing. She boasts of all her many skills and expansive credentials. The web page suggests that she employs a highly trained staff of sitters with equal abilities.
After explaining my needs to her for my diabetic cat, she sent over a young girl for an interview with no skills, who in fact, had no experience petsitting whatsoever! She was what I would have considered a «house» sitter, not a pet sitter. But I liked Erin as a person, so I suggested that we do a trial where she could come for a one night stay and see if she felt she could handle the week we were planning for the «big» sit coming up in 2 weeks. We ended the interview on a very good note.
Laura intended to charge me $ 100 per day for Erin’s service, since an overnight was involved, and a few hours in the day, which I was willing to pay. However after deliberating about the fact that the girl lacked confidence entirely, I decided to take Laura up on her original offer to come and do the shots for my cat so Erin wouldn’t have to feel stressed out. But when I asked Laura if I could depend on that, she sent a text back to me saying that «it was not a good fit». No explanation at all, and no response when I requested one. I assume that the girl came to her senses and realized she was in over her head, but it was a very unprofessional way to handle a client.
Needless to say, Laura’s service leaves much to be desired in my book.

Laura is the greatest! She’s very reliable and professional and I trust her completely with my dog. My dog loves it when Laura comes by to take her for walks and I’ve actually noticed that my dog is better on walks now after walking with Laura. I’ve always had problems with my dog dragging me around on our walks, and now she is much more of a loose leash walker! Thank you, thank you!

Once again we thank Walnut Creek Petcare for taking such great care of our «four legged child» while we were away celebrating our anniversary. Our (very large) puppy was very happy and well taken care of while we were gone. The best part is that she was comfortable staying in her own home and sleeping in her own bed with a very caring friend/​sitter with her, instead of having to stay in a kennel. We will be using you again in the future!

Once I met Laura I felt so much more confident and comfortable trusting someone with my doggy and my home. I have used her services once so far and will definitely be calling her again when needed. During her visit she was presented with a safety situation that required decision making and judgment, she went above and beyond to keep our home safe, and I was very pleased with the way she handled everything.

Laura has taken care our our 11 year old Brittany Spaniel and our 8-​year old neurotic cat. I loved that she texted us on our trip (with photos) to show us that our dog was happy on a walk, or lolling in a sunny spot in our yard. She even got the cat to come out and say hello (high praise, indeed!)

Laura took care of our two little dogs in Walnut Creek: Kai our little labradoodle, and Terkel our goldendoodle. My wife and I hate leaving these guys alone, but we felt very relaxed when we went away for a week. She even took a few pictures of them playing and texted us the picture. We felt 100% confident by leaving them in her care and I highly recommend using her pet boarding services. Thanks.

On a recent trip to the Bay Area, we needed to utilize the services of Feisty Redhead Petcare. We were reluctant to even bring our dogs as we knew we would need to have them attended to while on the road. Laura’s services at Feisty Redhead Petcare were impeccable. She treated our dogs as if they were her own. We will defiantly bring our dogs on the road with us again.
