Solid 3.5 stars. Smaller convenience store, ATM machine outside.
Air/​pump, while costing a buck, is well-​lit at night but in the far corner.

Clean, and the machines pump fast! Nothing worse than a slooowww gas pump when you’re in a hurry and sitting on empty. Not the case here… I was in & out in no time :)

It is a gas station. Nothing special to remark from my short visit to the pump. They also have a coin-​op vacuum cleaner if your car is a bit on the dirty side. There’s also a pay phone and an air pump. Regular unleaded was $ 4.15 a gallon back when I visited it in August of 2013.

Went to this gas station twice. A guy who works there was working both times and I really got a bad vibe from him. Him and his friend he was hanging out with who didnt even work there were standing outside of the station looking me up and down. and watching everyone at the pumps. I swiped my card and it said see attendant which has never happened before, could have been a glitch so I just paid cash up front. He was cleaning the pumps multiple times after people paid and filled their tanks and left. I didn’t really pay too much attention the first time but the 2^nd time it just looked odd. I’m not sure what he was doing at each station but he seemed really irritated with me watching him the 2^nd time I went here. I dont think I’ll go to that shell anymore. No issues other than that but it was just weird.

At 2am there are not a lot of choices in the area. However this intersection has the Shell and a Chevron. While filling up the guy working would give me occasional evil eye, so I filled up and got the heck out of town

Always shell V-​Power

This is one of those gas stations that you go to bc you need gas pronto and it happens to be on the side of the very busy intersection you’re on. And vice-​versa for the Chevron kitty-​corner.
This station has the added benefit of being in the same parking lot as Starbucks, so when he fills up Roxie with her fuel, I run get ours.

The location of this Shell is great — corner of Treat and Main… and since I live up Treat, I pass this one a lot — easy to get in and out of. Some of the pumps are diesel and they are marked only with a green pump handle. More than once I’ve pulled forward to be courteous to the car behind me, then realized my mistake.
The Mart inside is very small. Though sometimes people feel the need to really cram in there. Please, just form a line out the door. 1 Liter of Coke is $ 2.48.
I used to ban this Shell since they had a minimum purchase of $ 5, required if you are using your credit card. And this clearly breaks the bylaws established between Visa and it’s merchants.
However, I can once again buy my Coke with my credit card. They recently they stopped enforcing this rule (maybe because I wrote to Visa?) Either way, the ban is over.

Shell is one of the Top Tier gas providers. For those who take care of their cars and plan to keep it for the long haul, the gas you put in is important. Especially for those who run higher compression engines or turbo/​supercharged engines. The quality of gas can make a difference IMHO.
Gas prices not-​withstanding, it is what it is. It’s a gas station. Only had occasion to get gas. Not sure how to have a real bad experience doing that. It’s convenient since my office is around the corner.

I get annoyed when there is a minimum credit charge of $ 10 especially for convenience places. They do that here.

Had a bad experience with the diesel pump closest to the street. Wouldn’t take my card for some reason. I went in and they told me that I had to tell them exactly how much gas I was getting before I could pump it. How the f### should I know, it’s a big ass rental truck! 900 gallons? The guy was no help went i told him the pump was broke. Went back out and ran my card about 34 times before it worked. I had to hold the nozzle at this particular angle or it would shut off and complete the sale. Took about 20 minutes for a 3 minute task. Shut off again when I hit some $ limit that was set up. Swiped my card 100 more times. Called my bank later to order a new card that hasn’t been swiped 300 times in one day.
Today some kid was hassling people to buy magazines or some shit because he was a homeless teenage veitnam vet with 9 kids and his school was sending him to St Lucia if he could sell 3 magazine subscriptions. I love being hassled for money, like I don’t get enough of it on BART! Anyway, the employee came up, and I was expecting him to tell this kid to take a hike. Instead, he tells him he’s welcome to continue annoying customers, and he told the guy taking over his shift to leave him alone. Sweet.
