What a terrific dentist. My wife and I moved up recently, and some local friends referred us to Dr. Loder. These people had been seeing him for decades, and it’s easy to understand why. He cares deeply about your health, the rates are reasonable, and the staff is excellent. There’s no question we’ll be seeing him for all our dental needs, as well as those of our kids (when we eventually get around to having them).

Dr. Loder and all of his staff have been like family to my mother and six siblings over the last 20+ years. I feel like we’ve grown up with him. There was a period where I did not have insurance and used County resources. I ended up coming back to pay out of pocket for services with Dr. Loder, because the difference was so dramatic. He and his staff always treat you with the utmost care. As well, the procedures have always been smooth, and the quality of the end result has been standing the test of time.

My whole family goes to Dr. David Loder. My grandma, uncle, aunts, brothers (all 5 of them), my mom and now my 19 month old daughter.
Dr. Loder and his staff have been nothing but amazing with all our dental needs. I know I am weird, but I really love going to the dentist. I love getting my teeth cleaned. I love it all!
My daughters first dental appointment was great and she loved it.

Great dentist, technicians and office staff! I’ve been going to Dr. Loder (after a referral from several people in my office) for about 12 years and the last 8 I even lived in Oakland. It’s so hard to find a great dentist and I trusted him so much that I made the trip to the east bay. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Loder is very warm which makes a big difference since the dentist is the last place more people WANT to be. He is firm and encouraging on dental hygiene. I have learned things from Dr. Loder no one else had ever told me before. Office staff is wondering and patient. Like michelle g. I no longer dread staying on top of my dental health. Dr. Loder is a wonderful dentist, who takes his time with patients and listens to their concerns. I went to him with some concerns that my previous dentist barely listened to and then referred me to a specialist. The specialist recommended root canals which struck me as odd. Dr. Loder, without knowing of the recommendation by the specialist, pointed out that the roots are ok and identified the real issue — this wouldn’t have been possible, if he hadn’t listened to what I said and then took a close look.
Dr. Loder seems to have a lot of long term patients (in fact he was recommended to me by someone who had seen him all her life). When I first walked in, I felt like in a family reunion, where people came and went, asking about children, grandchildren, etc. Definitely a good sign!
If I could give him 10 stars, I would! Heck, if I could give him 100, I would!

I have (had) only two fears EVER, spiders and dentists. My fear of the dentist was sooo bad, I hadn’t been for a cleaning in almost 15 years… I’m only 26!!! Dr. Loder made me feel better than any previous dentist I had been to. All the work that needed to be done to repair my self inflicted ‘damage’ was taken care of in less than two months (approx. 5 visits).
I am now up to date on cleanings, and can enjoy eating at more great restaurants… if only he could cure me of my spider fear… :)
