Go 2 doors down for a possible better experience, since this one isn’t gonna do it. This was pretty bad sushi. The best thing they had was Sapporo beer. Waste of time and money. Plenty better places to have sushi.

Great sushi. They even have brown rice sushi. There prices a little more expensive than I Love Teriyaki & Sushi in Concord though. It also within walking distance of BART and close to the free trolley stop.

Service was great, the food not so much. It wasn’t bad but the fish didn’t seem fresh and I found a scale in my teeth afterwards.

The service is totally fine. The place is pretty clean as well. There was no wait on a Friday night. The miso soup was good, like any other miso. The sushi was fine, but the rice was really mushy. The udon was good, but the soup base just like miso so nothing special. The hand rolls were modicore. They have happy hour for alcohol until 630PM. Experience was just alright

Yummy Sushi rolls. Had the following: Vy Roll — Yum(5 out of 5) Van Roll — Equally yum(5 out of 5) Phoebe Roll — Ok(3 out of 5) Millenium Roll 3 — Good(4 out of 5) Had the sake flight it was okay, but the sparkly sake my friend ordered was yummy. Can’t say anything about any of the regular food, but the sushi rolls were on point, not too large that you have to unhinge your jaw, but just right and not drowned in sauce which totally negates the delicate fish flavors. Solid Sushi joint(slightly expensive, but it was good quality so you do get what you pay for =). Good service, waitress were nice and filled our tea and water without having for us to ask for more. Parking was difficult but that’s normal if you come to walnut creek downtown area.

5 stars mainly bc I’m in love with the millennium 4 sushi roll. It awakens my every taste bud from flavor & texture. So delicious! Everyone must try. Their crunchy roll & rib eye teriyaki steak is good, but not my fav.

This is our second time here and it’s pretty good. We had an Oregon roll and Van roll. Both were really good. Service was quick probably because it was on a Wednesday evening and there wasn’t many people there. We’ve had the happy hour skewer which was awesome, the sauce was great. We probably come back again if we’re in area. I would give it four stars, but the waiter took a long time to give us our check.

I ordered this sushi through a delivery service and was really excited. The food was just okay. It didn’t taste horrible, but it wasn’t great. It was just kind of bland.

It saddens me to write this review. The customer service is awesome, but what happened tonight was unacceptable. My wife and I order the udon and 2 sushi rolls. As we are eating and enjoying our food, my wasabi loving wife discovered a HUGEBUG in the wasabi!!! Needless to say, I’m throwing up as I’m writing this review.

Service was great… They are very attentive. Rolls were good, mostly what you see in other places. I like the fact that they don’t drown everything is sauce. We had the hamachi and scallop nigiri — good quality fish and tasty. I will agree that their wasabi seemed a little more tame than other restaurants as did their«spicy» rolls — which were not that spicy — but that just means(to me) that they are not trying to hide the fish flavor. Great for kids — there were a ton there. So much competition, you have to be good to stay alive. We will be back — all else being equal — service rules!

The sushi here is OK, not great. Many of their specialty rolls come with fried or tempura battered something(fish, shrimp, etc). I’ve never been to a sushi restaurant that offers so many fried option within the sushi. Service was good, the waiters were quick and attentive. However for the price of dinner and drinks I would have expected a little more.

This review is not based on the sushi and maybe that was the problem. Only had the udon, shrimp tempura and seaweed salad. The udon(with beef) tasted bland and the meat was chewy and fatty. Even after adding lots of soy sauce and hot sauce, I was still less than impressed. The shrimp tempura wasn’t very good — in fact I’m pretty sure one of the two I ate still had a shell on the entire shrimp because I pulled the shell out of my mouth. The seaweed salad was good, but I’m not sure how you could go wrong with that. Tasted like a cheap Chinese meal that cost us $ 40. Not worth it.

This little sushi joint that draws you in with happy hour signs and outdoor patio seating. I came here w my girlfriend for an early ish dinner/happy hour. I was definitely craving sushi and was ready to throw down. I started w $ 4HH chicken yakatori and Gyozas. Out came shrimp and chicken. I asked if the chef did any omakase options and she said No… I was a bit disappointed so I began to peruse the menu. When our apps came, I was too busy talking to at first notice that we got shrimp instead of chicken and I dug into the side salad. When the server came out with the chicken she was like oh did you order the shrimp? No, I told her and before I could tell her I put my chopsticks in it and would just have it she whisked it away. I would say these«yakatori» skewers were a loose version and more accurately could be described as kabaab sticks as they came with peppers and onions. The Gyozas were sub par, nothing to write home about. They were out of uni that day but the server did tell me they had butterfish so I ordered that nigiri style. It came out w my friend’s dragon roll which was only 4 pieces… Soooo SMALL for a roll portion. As far as my butterfish, it unfortunately did not seem fresh. The edges of the fish had a slight discoloring. Other than the $ 4 large beer/$ 2.50 small beer specials I’m not too keen to come back

Grabbed a quick dinner here. Ordered the edamame and spicy tuna roll. The edamame ok. The tuna roll was more average than great. I had requested wasabi be integrated into the roll but I could not discern any noticeable spice be it wasabi or chili sauce. Certainly wasn’t a spicy tuna roll. The wasabi on the side had no flavor to it. I added a table spool of wasabi to a small portion of soy sauce and there was no tangible heat. Service was good and the meal was affordable. Based on my experience I would have to rate my experience somewhere between a 2⁄5 and a 3⁄5. HOWEVER, my company got extreme food poisoning after eating at this establishment and was in bed for 4 days.

Very good sushi! I think I liked the Millenium 4 roll but couldn’t tell my rolls apart :) as I ordered several different kinds and forgot the names and what was in what. But that always happens everywhere I eat sushi. My most recent favorite sushi experience was in Seattle on a business trip. I have also tried the salmon terriyaki dinner here several weeks ago. Love the Millenium 1 roll too as well as their sashimi.

The rolls here were so good(albeit small)! We were pleasantly surprised at the different flavors of the rolls compared to your typical Japanese restaurants. This place definitely has some Vietnamese influence. We also ordered some grilled fish as well as chicken katsu and fried oysters. They were all pretty decent. This place can get really pricey as the portion sizes are pretty small. Have to order more in order to get full. I would probably come back here again just for the rolls. One thing that bothered me about this place when I walked in was that there was a funny old water smell when we walked into the restaurant. We got a bit nervous as it was potent but got over the smell eventually.

Yay for Restaurant Week! Otherwise I would have never thought to stop here. My friend and I opted for the 3-course special they were having and ordered Takoyaki for the appetizer, the Super Dragon Roll and Kagi Roll for the main course, and for dessert, a scoop of Lychee Sherbert and Coconut Jelly. … It was all right. It tasted good but it didn’t exactly leave a lasting impression when I walked out. The takoyaki was nice. Very crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and kept its form when picked up as if it was deep fried. The sushi was tasty and the sherbert was just okay. If I had to pick a favorite, I think I liked the Super Dragon Roll the best because I personally like unagi in general but both rolls were equally delicious. For all the dishes, despite how tasty they were, none of them left me aching for more. I feel a slightly cheated for having to pay $ 20 for the special when they obviously have better, cheaper dinner options on their regular menu. The service was good and the waitress was very attentive, filling our waters as soon as we drank out of it and cleaning empty dishes out when we were done but not so fast that it was awkward and uncomfortable. A small no-no for me were the chairs and tables. They felt old and cheap and my table in particular was sticky. Overall, this place doesn’t really stand out for me. It’s hard to say if I’ll ever come back after trying it once.

Hoping to get more from the chirashi plate Miso soup and green beans with sesame were good Hubby got salmon sashimi and tempura dinner. Tempura was good. Hippy roll was good. Didn’t appreciate the sauce. Tastes like there was too much mayonnaise. Based on the great reviews, I’m not sure why it’s so popular. I’d give it a 3 stars for taste and a 4 for service. Otherwise customer service was good-attentive but not obtrusive. 45 dollars for two isn’t bad but I won’t be returning
