Josh did an incredible job for my wife Hailey and I. He showed up early, stayed late and worked extremely hard all day long to capture every moment of our special day. He is one of the most respectable men I know and takes enormous pride in the work he does. If you need a great photographer with respect for people and what he does, this is your guy.

When my husband and I were looking for a photographer it was so important we choose someone who could capture the very essence of our special day. Josh was amazing at doing this and exceeded our expectations! He was so easy to work with and put me at ease throughout the entire day. Josh was our photographer for a recent Bat Mitzvah and I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. He was an absolute professional in every regard and truly a pleasure to work with. I was recommended to Josh by a neighbor of mine here in Orinda. I was in need of a good local photographer for my 2 daughters senior photos.
Joshua was very prompt at getting back to me and very flexible on setting dates and locations for the photo shoot. His prices are also beyond reasonable… I felt that we got a bargain based on the excellent photos and quality of the images that we received.
The photos came out great! My daughters were very happy with the results, as was I. I highly recommend him for outdoor casual elegant type settings, he is very personable, easy to get along with and work with, and great with teenagers!

We LOVE Josh! He did an incredible job shooting our engagement photos– and I did a ton of research before selecting a photographer. Unlike most photogs who limit your session to two hours, Josh spent half the day with us and planned out every spot we visited based on lighting to capture the best setting. More than just being an exceptional photographer, Josh is extremely personable and makes everyone super comfortable. Like most guys, my fiancé wasn’t thrilled about having to pose for pictures but after ten minutes he was totally at ease because Josh made the experience fun and memorable. He picked up on our personalities quickly and was able to illustrate them through his art. He isn’t a cheesy photographer who will make you do ridiculous poses (unless that’s what you’re into and then I’m sure he would accommodate that too) but he really makes the effort to catch those truly genuine moments. Engagement photos are pieces you want to display in your home for years to come so do yourself a favor and have Josh work his magic so you truly have a masterpiece to hang on your wall. We will continue to use Josh for every special event we may have in our lives because he truly is that amazing! Thank you Josh!

Josh did our photos for our wedding and they were amazing!!! I could not be happier with the results.
My husband and I were quite nervous, but he really made us comfortable. He and I were in contact several times before the wedding, and even met for coffee to discuss specific photos I was hoping for. By the time the wedding rolled around, I felt really confident he knew exactly what I wanted. It was such a relief to know that the photos were one thing I didn’t have to worry about.
During the wedding, Josh did a great job dealing with all of our family and friends, and got all of our wedding party photos over as quickly as possible. We had a lot of family, and our wedding party was 16 people! Josh was able to get the photos that we wanted, without cutting into party time :)
One of the best parts was that Josh had been to our wedding venue multiple times before as the photographer, and he knew where to take amazing photos. He was able to procure a golf cart, and took us into the grape vines at sunset for some unreal photos. They are absolutely my favorite photos from the entire day.
All of my married girlfriends were so jealous how fast I got my photos– it was incredible! I know people who waited months, but I got mine in just over 1 WEEK! He took close to 3,000 photos and include several beautiful black and whites.
I have already encouraged a friend of mine getting married to contact him– I know she will be happy with the results!

We hired Josh to take our engagement photos and we’re really happy with his work. The photos truly reflect us as a couple and Josh has an amazing eye for what will look natural in a photo. He was able to get in some really unique photos and make them look great and not overly posed! Josh is not only very professional, but extremely personable as well. We instantly felt comfortable with him which made for an easier photo shoot.
Josh was also very flexible in working with our schedules as we had to change the date of our original photo session due to unforeseen circumstances. During the phone calls leading up to our engagements session, he talked us through how the day would go, how he likes to take photos and what ideas we had in mind. On the day of, he checked in with us along the way to make sure we liked how things we progressing. He made sure the photos were about us which I truly appreciated, and incorporated our own ideas with his for a variation of poses and styles. I would definitely use Josh again!

We had Josh do 1 year pictures for our baby girl and family. He was awesome to work with and the product is incredible. Josh showed up on time and did the work very quickly.
My husband is not the biggest fan of having his picture taken, but Josh made the experience fun and we all laughed at the few cheesy photos! Josh totally made the experience relaxed, casual but also productive and meaningful.

I first hired Josh to capture my baby shower, I was thrilled with the results. He captured the entire event as a whole, along with taking specific photos I wanted.
A few months later I was planning the baptism for my baby and definitely wanted Josh to shoot this event as well. I was even more impressed this time. It was quite a large event (about 100 people) with stepparents, in-​laws and all sorts of combinations that I wanted to make sure were in the photos — Josh was so quick and got everything I needed! My 96 grandmother couldn’t stop raving about him, saying what a nice young man he was and how great he was with everyone. He was able to capture all the photos I wanted (which is hard with so many people /​combinations), but also wasn’t intrusive on the event. He was everywhere and nowhere at the same time! One thing that really stood out is that he went up to the priest to introduced himself and asked if he could take photos (very respectful) — I don’t think many photographers would think of this.
I’m so thrilled to have found him and will be hiring him at all of our events!

Josh recently took our engagement photos — a half day in San Francisco, with 4 locations and 4 outfit changes, and not only did he take it all in stride, he excelled; Josh made what could have been a fairly stressful day with a lot of scheduling benchmarks, one that was absolutely unforgettable. It was the first time my fiancé and I felt as though we weren’t just going through the motions of planning a wedding. Due to Josh’s professionalism, we were put completely at ease, and were allowed to let go and just have fun with it! We highly recommend his services, and have hired him again for our Engagement Party — well done Mr. Isaacs!

Josh took 6 month old pictures of my daughter. He was a joy to work with and my daughter loved him too. He was professional and was considerate of the time since a 6 month old cannot take pictures forever. I will be using Josh again when my daughter turns 1 and every time we need family pictures taken. Josh took the most amazing photos of my two dogs who are like children for me. He has an amazing eye for different angles that make the most incredible pictures and really brings them to life.
I could see my dogs’ personalities reflected in the pictures and they make me smile each and every day. Josh also printed and framed them for me.

I’m a magazine editor and worked with Josh for a story on the America’s Cup sailing races. Josh tagged along with me during the races, which we viewed out on the water from one of the timing boats. Josh took some amazing photos and was very professional. He was a real pleasure to work with and his photos look great in the magazine. I’d definitely work with him again.
