STAY AWAY!!! Dr. Bruns is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever interacted with. My first consultation was less than 5 minutes because he refused to answer any of my questions until his staff submitted the quote to my insurance to find out my co-​pays. I asked him one question about the pinhole surgical technique as an alternative to gum grafting and he literally laughed at me and said «oh you don’t want that.» I told him that I had several questions about the procedure and the recovery process, because he told me nothing, and he promised he would answer all of my questions at my next consultation. At the next consultation, same thing he told me to just schedule the procedure and he would answer my questions then. He literally spent 60 seconds with me! I asked him how many days I should take off of work and how long I will be unable to eat and he said «a little while.» He wouldn’t give me a clear answer until I asked him multiple times. He made me feel unimportant and stupid. He was extremely rude and arrogant and I recommend that no one go to him.

No stars for this one! I would never refer this dentist to anyone. He was so arrogant and unprofessional that his staff apologized for his behavior. Staff tell you there will not be a charge, then bill you for the very same item. They billed my insurance company twice for a consult that was never a consult. I believe they do this as most people will never return after the initial revealing bad visit. Staff did not initially send me an invoice, then I received an invoice that included a late fee. Terrible business practices in every way. I have never had this happen from any other dentist. Beware!

Thank you so much to the staff and Dr. Burns himself for an informative consult! Was so worried when we received a referral for my 12 year old daughter with braces. Terri was wonderful and educated my daughter on the proper way to take care of her teeth with braces. We will definitely be back after her braces are removed, hopefully for more good news. Again thanks to a wonderful, helpful, informative staff. From fitting us in on short notice to making my daughter excited about brushing again. THANK YOU!

I cannot thank Dr. Bruns and it’s wonderful staff enough for how they helped me
I was missing a front tooth & didn’t want to do a bridge but I had too much bone loss to do an implant
Doctor Bruns is a dental genius & artist. He implanted bone that grew so he was able to implant the front tooth. I couldn’t believe it & was so happy that I didn’t have to wear that stupid partial anymore
He was very gentle & addressed all my concerns. My only regret was that I didn’t come to him sooner. His staff also made dealing with my insurance painless as well!

Very Knowledgeable Doctor
Choosing the right dentist for this type of work is very important, and I did my research and so should you.
I can say that I am very happy with the work Dr. Bruns performed, I had a number of questions before starting, and he and his excellent staff were very thorough and clear on their answers.
I see in other reviews that many people may not completely understand their responsibilities in these types of procedures– take your time and do some research. I asked a lot of questions, and did everything recommended for a successful treatment. I can now say the «work» is better than original in look and feel.

After many years of pain with my dentures and numerous frequent trips to my dentist for adjustments, I went to Dr. Bruns for a second opinion. On my first visit he found a far better solution than my dentist ever offered. After following the advise of Dr. Bruns, I am now free of pain and my teeth look great. I even ate corn on the cob for the first time in years. I had forgotten what it was like to enjoy the simple joys in life. Thank you Dr. Bruns and your outstanding pleasant staff for changing my world. I can’t stop smiling.
For the discouraging Unilocalers out there, know you insurance benefits and don’t blame the dentist when your group tries to pull a fast one on you. Some insurance groups do everything they can to keep their last dime. Instead of spending time bashing a good dentist perhaps you should look for better benefits. This group is not a free clinic. Don’t blame them when you max your limited budget. They are very fair with billing. My bill was correct and sent in a timely manner.

I am sick of this dentist!!! We will now be looking for another. This was the last straw!!! They have major billing issues. Not sure if they are billing issues or acts of FRAUD. My husband has been going to John Bruns for awhile and they always tell us our dental coverage doesn’t cover the charges! Or another time they said our coverage was rejected but they were not sending in the right information in to be paid. Then to top everything off– they never send us a bill for $ 2.13 and now they are trying to claim Over Due balance of $ 33!!! This is ridiculous! I have been going to my dentist for 13 Years and NEVER had these issues!

I had gum grafting yesterday 7÷13÷12 and had the best experience! They offered nitrous oxide for relaxation and I decided to try it since I would be awake for the procedure. The nitrous oxide not only made me relax, I laughed throughout the entire procedure! The staff was wonderful! Toni and Sydney were so friendly and attentive to my needs. I had pain after I got home and they quickly got me another prescription and it worked great! I am a RN so my expectations are pretty high and Dr. Bruns staff more than exceeded mine! Also I had gotten another quote for the same procedure and my out of pocket cost was going to be 5x the amount I paid at Dr. Bruns. Thanks guys! You’re doing a fantastic job!!!

I called Dr. Bruns office to schedule a consultation appointment for some dental implants recently. His website advertised that his consultations were free, but when I called his office the first thing they asked for was my insurance information. Since I used all of my benefits for this calendar year due to some fillings that I had put in back in January my coverage was maxed out and his receptionist informed that I would have to pay $ 160 for a consultation appointment!!! I have never had to pay for a consultation before with any other dentist ever. I am glad she told me this though because I found another oral surgeon who gladly did my consultation for free and now he is getting my business instead of Dr. Bruns!!!

This is a superb dentist! Outstanding! He did my First Implant! The staff and doctor walked me through it step by step and the next day called to see how I was doing! He did gum graphs, which I never knew were possible and they look amazing! His work is First Class! I am going back for more Gum Graphs on my left side! I can’t wait! Tremendous, Amazing, Terrific! total rip off!!! I went there because my dentist referred me. I came in, they took my referral papers and insurance info, then took x-​rays and then the doc came in for a 2 minute consult. After, I walk out and they’re charging me $ 120, saying my insurance was just a discount plan and wouldn’t cover anything! ???
I was completely perplexed! Why not mention it before doing the x-​rays and consult??? Very sneaky! I called my insurance, they said to get the billing codes, I did and guess what — my insurance does cover it!!! I called back four times until I finally got to talk to the person responsible and then another 2 days until she had time to call my insurance (really??).Totally rude! The outcome, they’ll pay me back after my insurance pays them (in 4 – 6 weeks!). BEWARE!!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!

Excellent doctor. I had my first oral surgery here with dr Bruns and everything was 1st class. Doctor bruns is very good at what he does. I did not feel a bit of pain during the procedure. He was careful to minimise my out of pocket expense by doing work according to the timing of my insurance. he even called on his own time later on the evening to make sure I was doing ok with my recovery.
