James is so awesome to work with! He was able to help me out last-​minute with a photo shoot for my company’s new uniform program. He was very accommodating in making time for us, and he delivered the amazing photos earlier than I had asked for them!
James has a beautiful studio and made the whole photo shoot really fun with music and his lively personality. All of our models (first-​time models, by the way) felt so comfortable and had a blast getting all of the shots we needed.
I highly recommend James, and I know we will be calling him for our future photography needs! :)

Jim is amazing! He photographed our wedding and we couldn’t be more happy. He understood what we wanted. Several guests commented that he made them feel so comfortable (especially family) and they felt he got the best out of them while making them smile. His editing of the pictures was stunning. He changed several to black and white, gorgeous! In addition, he is a kind, talented and warm man, very easy to work with.

Jim was wedding photographer for my daughter’s wedding at Wente last November. We all loved working with him before the wedding and his photography was outstanding. We are a bit picky when it comes to aesthetics and Jim’s work was perfection for my daughter, her husband and all the family. He is very fast in getting great shots and is unobtrusive while being so thorough. He works so well with everyone and keeps everyone cool and relaxed in the pre-​wedding and wedding experience. I cherish the photos and I will always be grateful to him for his fine work. Lovely memories.

We are an independent financial planning firm and utilized Jim’s services for a client appreciation event. Everything went perfectly; Jim was on time, he is polite, friendly, calm, and professional. He knew just how to direct us for our team «photo shoot», and he was great with our clients and guests. His verbal interaction with his subjects is really cool! He is clearly experienced, yet easily blends in to the crowd and event. We were very impressed with his services and him as a person and plan to use him for our future events!

My band has played music for many weddings over the years (at some of the nicest venues) and many times we would find Jim there taking pictures as the photographer for the wedding. I’ve always been impressed with how quietly he would be working — it was like he wasn’t even there. He has a gift for capturing the special moments and his natural instincts are always finding you looking your best. He makes it look so easy… So I set up a photo shoot for my band with him at his studio in Walnut Creek. Not only did our photos turn out terrific, but he was able to capture the best shots in a very short amount of time. He has an uncanny knack for this, really loves what he does and is a true professional.

Last weekend, Jim spent an entire day shooting the yearly costumed photos for our daughter’s entire dance studio students. My daughter came home and said, «Mom, you can tell that the photographer is a really nice person.» Fast forward to last night when we sat behind Jim who was photographing her 8^th grade graduation ceremony. Our daughter is right: Jim is just a great guy — nice, courteous, approachable, relaxed.
His demeanor with the staff and students was friendly and encouraging. (Lots of these teens were less-​than-​eager to smile or look at the camera lens.) He succeeded in getting fabulous photos of all the students with their diplomas. Jim also took many precious candid shots. Jim’s ability to capture special moments with beautiful photographic skills is exceptional. The fact that he’s a genuinely nice would make selecting him for any photographic needs we have in the future a no-​brainer.

I was lucky enough to book Jim for my wedding in May and he blew us away with his talent! The pictures are to die for… I was so surprised to see the moments he captured when I don’t even remember him being in the room!
An added bonus was his wedding knowledge! So many sticky situations were avoided thanks to Jim chiming in with his expertise! As a young bride and the first of my friends to get married, I was totally clueless and Jim helped us with lots of behind the scenes details.

Jim just photographed my daughter for senior portraits. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and the results. His goal was for my daughter to have fun and to get some great shots. He achieved both! Just went through the proofs and love them! The only negative (not really) is having to chose amongst so many great shots. Will definitely be back next time we want photos! I highly recommend Jim.

Jim has photographed our daughters’ weddings over the years. He is the first photographer I have ever reviewed. My husband is also a photographer, so I am somewhat picky about photography. Jim is so creative in his work. He uses the light, the camera angles and composition to create art. He finds beauty in subtle images that we would miss with our eyes. He is truly a master in every way. He is very easy to work with. He’s flexible, and almost «invisible.» He got many shots when no one even noticed he was there. Jim has been The Official Photographer for our family for years. Senior portraits, family sittings, romantic shots: formal, informal, artistic, whimsical, you-​name-​it. He photographed our daughter with her art car; he photographed my wife during her cancer treatment; he got great shots of our anxious, camera-​shy Eagle Scout.

15 years ago Jim photographed my wedding; he was a-​freakin-​mazing. So positive and thoughtful (he bustled my dress, for goodness sake!) and made the whole day a pure delight. The pictures? GORGEOUS. The year following he did the same thing for my cousin at her wedding and, being in the bridal party, I felt fortunate to have this kind of experience with him once again.

Jim has been doing our family weddings for years. He did our own wedding in Meadowood, then four of our sons weddings, and also numerous nieces and nephews. Sorry, we are out of kids, but lots of grandchildren to follow. We have always been extremely pleased with his work no matter if it was in the wine country, in a Carmel mission or at a venue that he had never seen before. Jim Fidelibus has been capturing those precious moments of my three sons as they have grown in to men. When my oldest son proposed to my now daughter-​in-​law, there was no doubt in our minds, Jim would be the one we would trust as our wedding photographer. From the beautiful engagement pictures done in a natural setting to the formal wedding, we couldn’t of asked for more. Jim was able to tell a love story through his camera lens.
