Infiniti Hardwood Floors

Being new to the Bay Area, it was difficult for us to embark on a remodel project as we had zero contacts. We were referred to Ahad by someone we met in the area and can’t recommend him/​his team highly enough.
Ahad and his team do amazing work for a fair price. We have 40-​year old oak flooring that we wanted extended into an adjoining room and a lot of patch work where we moved walls and cabinets. Matching old floors with new and all of the patch work seemed like a challenging job, but everything blends together. All of our visitors are impressed with the quality of work (can’t notice where there is new/​old/​patching).
The team worked extremely long hours during the heat of the summer and were always great to have around. Ahad showed a lot of patience and helped us select a great stain color — he steered us subtly away from what he thought were bad choices and gave us plenty of time to make our selections.
Our contractors were running a bit behind schedule, so Ahad suggested we wait to do the final varnishing coat until after some of the more «heavy lifting» tasks were completed (in case any scratches were made, they could cover them with the final coat). Normally, this would be a concerning suggestion (will they ever show back up?) but his team arrived back promptly on the scheduled date and completed the job.
We very much enjoyed working with everyone on the team and the the results are superb.

Ahad and his team are amazing.
I’ll start with the business experience. Ahad, the owner, came out, measured up the room and provided sound advice. He turned around a quote very quickly, and that included having to research different flooring products to match an existing installation in another room. First class experience.
Then, we had some scheduling conflicts and wanted to have the existing flooring removed a week earlier than the new flooring was supposed to go in. No problem, Ahad said. He completely accommodated our needs. His guys came in and took out the carpeting in no time. And, they went the extra distance to ensure all of the carpet tacking was taken up so that no one (dogs included) got a foot puncture.
When it came to the install, Ahad’s guys came in like pros and knocked the job out. He’s got all of the best flooring tools in the business, but most importantly, he’s got a great crew. They were helpful, accommodating and friendly.
In the end, Ahad is exactly the kind of craftsmen/​contractor you dream about finding. Sincere, professional, honest, ethical, hard working, and reasonably priced. I can’t recommend these guys enough. They’re pros, through and through.

We hired Infiniti and Ahad to do our wood floors and steps. We acted as generals throughout our remodel project dealing with a lot of sub contractors. Ahad and his team were very professional, always on time and did excellent work. We are extremely happy with the results. I wish all our contractors were as professional and on-​time as Ahad and his team. They left everything very clean each night and worked with us so we were able to stay in the house every night. I hired Ahad based on the Unilocal reviews I read and thought I should add to that list because I would strongly recommend him for refinishing and laying hardwood floors! Big thumbs up!

I took a leap of faith based on Unilocal reviews, and this was one of those instances where I would give Infiniti and Ahad 10 stars. Seriously, this guy did work on my Brazilian cumaru hardwood floors as if he were a relative. (A favored relative that is!)
He was the only one out of 5 estimates that suggested we only need to put a new top coat on instead of sanding all the way down to the wood. Most of the estimates were in the $ 10K range, but with this solution, it was one-​third, and they still turned out to look like brand new floors. My wife and I absolutely love how it turned out. Not only that, but Ahad was not satisfied with the results of his own work in a couple rooms, and took it upon himself to just re-​do them, even though they looked just fine to us. WHO DOES THAT? Just about every other contractor would have wanted to get their money and get on with the next job. Not Ahad. He also graciously cut two baseboards and installed them for me, and then secured loose baseboards throughout the rest of the house, without charging anything more.
Not only a great work ethic, but a great guy. Absolutely, positively cannot miss if you hire Infiniti with Ahad doing your work.

Hi. I have been a Unilocal user for several years but rarely rarely write reviews. I felt compelled to since Ahad and his team were such a pleasure and the quality of their work was fabulous. I would strongly recommend Infiniti to anyone looking to have their hardwood floors redone. I found Ahad to be fairly priced and extremely knowledgeable on floors– staining options, etc. I can tell that Ahad cares about the quality of his work. His team working with him was great too. And our floors look better than we had hoped. p. s. Some vendors ask if their customers will write a Unilocal review for them to help with their business. Ahad did not– I am writing this voluntarily and not upon his request.

We hired Infiniti to refinish five hardwood floors and our entry hallway the first week of June 2014. We are more than thrilled with the job. Our floors, which are more than 60 years old, look like new. Ahad and his crew are so professional. They made repairs where needed and even installed quarter-​round molding along the floor boards. My husband and I would highly recommend this company.

Ahad refinished our bamboo floors about 5 months ago. The previous homeowner had a dog that scratched the floors up pretty bad. He was able to accommodate our schedule and get the job done before we moved into our new/​old home. The floors looked almost as good as new when they were done. They even replaced a few boards that had water damage from a leaky refrigerator and potted plant overflow.
His guys were clean and efficient plus he dealt with my wife and I who are not the easiest customers to satisfy. His guys even helped us fix a few other minor issues around the house that were not even related to flooring (gas leak in the plumbing).
My dogs have already done a number on the floors scratching them up pretty badly. It is a shame they no longer look as great as they did when they were freshly finished but I guess that is a price you pay to have animals you love in your home. At some point in the future if we decide to do the floors again Ahad will be our first call.

During our recent major remodel Ahad and his crew at Infiniti Hardwood Floors installed new hardwood floors in the kitchen, built some challenging curved treads on a new stairway and made other critically needed repairs to various other parts of our home. Aside from the challenging radiused stair treads, the most important aspect of the job was matching perfectly the existing hardwood floor stain color, with decades of age and patina behind them (the house was built in 1929). We describe the outcome below.
But first, a few important comments on craftsmanship: In our view any craftsman working in our home must have the following skill sets: First, of course, the person must be first rate at his or her craft; second, the price must be reasonable; and third, the craftsman must be a pleasant person and have excellent people and communication skills. As other reviews here amply demonstrate, Ahad is a master when it comes to hardwood flooring; indeed, he is a perfectionist. No detail escapes him. Before he leaves, everything must not only gain the customer’s approval, it must meet Ahad’s standards — and Ahad’s standards are extremely high. Next, for the expert job Ahad performs, the price is not only reasonable, but surprisingly so. Finally, Ahad is a delight to have around. He is friendly, affable and has a sense of humor, as well as always presenting a very professional, upbeat attitude. He goes out of his way to communicate skillfully, making absolutely sure there are no misunderstandings and that the customer understands not only what will be done but, far more important, why. The «why» is critical. We think it is important for a customer to understand why a job must proceed as it does in order to appreciate the level of skill involved and to make comparisons among service providers. Despite his very reasonable prices, Ahad would readily admit that one can have hardwood floors installed for a bit less. They won’t look as good, won’t last as long and will probably require expensive repairs, but they will be cheaper. However, once the customer understands why a good job proceeds as it does, why certain steps are necessary and the risks involved in not doing it correctly, the choice is clear. We don’t think that you can get any better value for your dollar than hiring Ahad to install, refinish, repair, etc. your hardwood floors.
The thing that impressed us most about Ahad’s craftsmanship was how important it was to him to find a perfect color match for the new floors. Ahad and his crew spent the better part of the first day experimenting with different stains, allowing samples to dry, viewing the samples under various lighting conditions and then tweaking the results until the perfect stain mixture was obtained. It was a custom color, of course. And the proof was in the pudding. We had two areas where existing, old hardwood needed to be repaired and refinished. Those areas directly abutted hardwood with the patina of the decades under their belt. It is nearly impossible to find the demarcation lines between Ahad’s work and the older floors. How he does that is nothing short of magic. The new floor in the kitchen is stunning, a truly gorgeous job. It lays a fabulous foundation for the new cabinets, counters and appliances. And the new stairway with the naturally finished treads supported by painted risers? Wonderful! The rounded stairs at the bottom provide just the right transition to the older parts of our home. It is not easy to properly proportion radiused treads, especially when each tread must be graduated in size from the preceding tread in order to create the desired effect and impact. No one looking at our new stairway would fail to be impressed; it is a work of art.
We do not disagree with any of the positive comments posted here about Ahad’s work. Indeed, we believe that many of those comments do not go far enough. Let’s put it this way: This guy knows what the heck he is doing. The reason so many people like his work is simply because it is top drawer. His experience and skill shows and it is enjoyable to have Ahad and his guys in one’s home. You will not be disappointed!

I had shopped around quite a bit when we decided to have our bamboo floor refinished. Ahad was one of three companies we had to the house for estimates. He was clearly the most knowledgable and professional by far. The floor came out absolutely beautifully… looks brand new and I know bamboo floors can be tricky. Ahad and his crew were at the house on time every morning, respectful of our home, and very clean. We have a pretty small kitchen floor, so I know it was a small job, but Ahad treated it like it was his only. I couldn’t recommend him more.

If I could give Ahad 25 stars I would. I’ve truly never dealt with a contractor that was as good as Ahad. I found out about Ahad on Unilocal, checked references and everyone had rave reviews about his work. Ahad truly is a perfectionist and takes so much pride in his work. He had to build a custom edge for a rounded step that we had and it turned out amazing! Ahad can tackle the most complicated tasks.
Ahad constantly went up and above the call of duty to improve the floor underneath where we were going to lay the new wood floors. The original subfloor had so many problems (uneven, gaps in floor, squeeks) and Ahad identified and took care of all of the issues! We were a pain because we changed our mind on the wood color after the wood arrived and he delivered it all to our house! He had scheduled Thanksgiving week to do our job and we had to postpone him to a later date. He wasn’t able to find a client that week and he was understanding and amazing about the whole thing. I really cannot say enough amazing things about Ahad and his crew. When the job was over we gave him and the team a sizeable tip to thank him for his amazing work and being so reliable and accomodating. I would absolutely recommend Ahad and Infinity Floors to even the pickiest client out there. Ahad will deliver!

Trusting the reviews of the others on this site, we went with Infiniti and Ahad to do the floors in our new home. We chose absolutely correctly! Ahad and his crew did a really excellent job refinishing the floors in our house. Downstairs was some kind of pine we found out was Australian Cypress, and upstairs was red oak.
Upstairs we needed repairs with 20 or so boards needing to be replaced, while downstairs was evidently waxed, and harder to sand. Everyone from Infininti did a really great job, and we are very happy indeed to have had Ahad and his crew out there… highly recommend!

We have known of this professional, courteous, highly skilled company for many years. So when it was time for us to take the leap from carpets to hardwood flooring we got to see first hand why Infiniti is second to none. Ahad and his wonderful team installed hardwood flooring throughout our home and we could not be happier with the service or the outcome. I highly recommend Ahad and his team. I recently completed a major kitchen remodel and Ahad installed a new oak floor in my kitchen and refinished the rest of my downstairs to match. Even though the wood in the rest of the house is almost 100 years old, you can barely see the line between the old and the new. AND we were only able to refinish part of the living room floor because we needed someplace to stash all our furniture from elsewhere in the house, but the transition between the floor that we refinished 6 years ago and the floor that Ahad refinished is seamless. I was amazed at how beautifully it all turned out. I’ll post photos.
In addition to being incredibly skilled, Ahad and his team were also a true pleasure to work with. Professional and personable. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

They installed engineered hardwood floors throughout our living room, and dining room and the result exceeded our expectations! The company is run well and Ahad’s employees Eddie and Junior are very conscientious. They were even done a day ahead of schedule! Ahad changed my kitchen and hallway floors to hardwood a few years ago. He did an excellent job. He gave me a very good deal on the floor I chose. He and his staff showed up on time, did the work, and cleaned up after themselves. My floors looked beautiful when he was done. Thank you Ahad.
