High Trek Adventure

I heart High Trek Adventure! I participated in the Seattle race and had an absolute blast! I live in Seattle and the challenge brought me to areas within the city that I’ve never even heard of before; cute parks in the International District in particular! The race was fun and I have recommended to many friends that we ALL participate if Seattle is in the lineup in the future. It’s a great way to get to know your city (or another for that matter!) and it’s a GREAT diversion from the usual Saturday doldrum. :)

I’ve never been in a race like this before, so I had no idea what to expect. It was cool, we had to solve clues to find certain checkpoints. It reminded me of the that television show «the amazing race».In the end we came in 11^th but, we still had a blast.

I have received a refund from High Trek Adventures. Since my initial post I have been contacted by the company several times and they have offered their apologies and a refund among other things. It was nice of them, but they have asked that I remove my review — which I will not do.
This review is not of the race itself — as I did not participate but a review of the company.
I still find some items to be conflicting — such as the email I received the day before stating they decided not to do an SF race because the public transportation is not reliable and the East Bay had much better forms (huh?), but then I was told that in 2009 they will be doing a SF and EB race. So I have a feeling it wasn’t transportation that was the problem.
Obviously my situation may have been a one time deal, so do your due diligence and make a decision on your own.

Please Please Please come to San Diego. I want more!!! Highly recommend trying it out…

Ok, so I’ve never actually done this event — but only because it has yet to come to San Diego. I’ve heard FANTASTIC things from everyone I’ve talked to, and I can’t WAIT to be involved when it comes to San Diego!
