Carlisle Inn

Lovely hotel. Wonderful stay. Lobby and halls were nicely decorated. Rooms were beautiful. Bed was firm, pillows were soft but not too squishy. Views were great from front or back. Price included a voucher for dinner & snacks were available in the evening while we played games. Continental breakfast was included as well. Staff was courteous & friendly. Our stay couldn’t have been any better!

I can’t say enough good things about the Carlisle Inn. This was our first time staying here and it was wonderful. The lobby is warm and inviting as soon as you enter with it’s grand staircase to second floor rooms and breakfast area.
There are a total of three floors of accommodations and a banquet hall on the lower level. All of the rooms have balconies over looking the rolling hills of north east Ohio’s Amish country. Guest rooms are large with two upholstered chairs, one being a rocking chair, a small table and large flat screen television to round out the soft décor.
Breakfast is standard continental with the addition of fresh cooked sausage patties. There are also plenty of tables and chairs for breakfast diners, in two adjoining rooms. The location puts you within walking distance of Der Dutchman restaurant and several shops. In the evening you can head down to the lobby for fresh cookies and popcorn, and take them out on the wrap around porch.
The hotel does not have a pool, however, it’s sister hotel in Sugarcreek does, and you can use your room card there to swim. The Carlisle does however have a workout room. It is a non smoking hotel, and is located in a «dry» county.
There’s plenty to do, see and eat in the general area, and we whole heartedly recommend the Carlisle Inn without hesitation!
