History

Established in 1969.

In 1969, Dutch Corporation (now known as Dutchman Hospitality) purchased a small 75 seat restaurant in Walnut Creek, Ohio. Formerly a hardware store, the restaurant has now grown to seat over 650 people.

Operated by the family-owned Dutchman Hospitality Group, Der Dutchman has served guests from all over the world. It was the original Der Dutchman and one of six restaurants in Ohio and Florida.

Located in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country, Der Dutchman is located on a ridge that overlooks the Goose Valley. Seats by the window are in high demand as guests enjoy looking over the valley as they eat.
