Andrew C.

Business Owner

Andrew Chose is the CEO and owner of C&M Party, a family business that’s supported 3+ generations. Andy was born and raised in Walnut Creek. He graduated from Las Lomas High School and attended college in Santa Cruz. Andy has been involved with C&M since age 14 and has always loved the party rental business. His experience includes working for Abbey Party in Melbourne, Australia and Top Productions in Sausalito (now Stuart Rentals). After several years in Marin County, Andy was eager to return to C&M to work in the family business again. Andy is involved in WCSC with his son, Sammy, and participates in the PHBA adult softball league. Andy works closely with the Lafayette, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek and Hispanic Chambers. Andy’s life partner, Michelle, assists with much of the day to day business at C&M. Together they are working to enhance business relationships in the community and appreciate the support C&M has received over the years.

You cannot do better than C & M. I have been a patron for 25 years, and at every event, they have helped to guide with quantities, and timing advice. Their deliveries are on time, and their staff is real, down to earth and professional, a tough trinity to hit. Over the years, they have added funny props– Casino items, Western Items, and super stylish linens which help keep your parties up to date. I left the party business almost 20 years ago, but continue to patronize C& M for every social event I host. Reviewers who complain are missing the mark. If you are not an event planner or caterer, you need to GO THERE to their showroom to get a sense of what you need. Not everything is (OR SHOULD BE) virtual people! Go and squeeze the goblets or don’t complain. C & M is a star among small business!

I rented from there last year. I was asking a few questions about the concession machines since we had never used them before. I heard the lady in the background saying «why is she asking so many questions» very unprofessional. I rented from them again today (which i shouldn’t have) The lady was extremely rude. I parked along side of the wall just to run in and pay. She was taking very loud telling me that it was a accident waiting to happen with cars driving in very fast. Keep in mind there were other customers there which was embarrassing. She could have asked me politely if i could move my car. I learned my lesson, not renting from them again. Piece of advice. be nice to your customers. They are keeping you in business and hire professional employees who have some patience.
I rented these machines for a work event. To bad they will be losing our business.

I would highly recommend C & M party to all. This is a family owned business that gives you 5 star treatment. The owners Michelle and Andy and their team offer amazing customer service and are dedicated to exceeding customer expectations… they truly take the stress out of party and event planning. So if you have an upcoming event call them today you will not be disappointed.

Rented a few tables and linens from here, was reasonably priced but customer service was variable. The woman I spoke with the first time was not very friendly or helpful but the second woman I spoke with and placed my order was great. Called them another time to warn them about my steep driveway and ask for a small truck, the woman who answered said I should call back and talk to the manager but would make a note. When the delivery truck came, the guy got mad at me and said I should have told them and that he just happen to have the small truck that day.
When they came to pick up the tables (a day later than planned), I was at work but he argued with my mom and told her a table was missing. When she told him that we had only ordered one of those tables, he said no, it was delivered by another truck?! It was wierd. Was not a horrible experience but will probably not use them again since I’ve had better experiences with other companies.

I chose C&M Party Props for our wedding linens, tables and chairs. They came highly recommended from a friend and our caterer. C&M was a pleasure to work with. They delivered on time and got our order down perfectly. Unfortunately there was a mishap with getting all the napkins back to them after the wedding (not at all their fault) and they were sooo patient and understanding while we straightened things out. Thank you so much Christine again! I highly recommend C&M for any event!

We used C&M for a few cocktail tables and linens for our wedding this past weekend and C&M is great. I felt that their delivery and pick up charges were a bit much for dropping off in Walnut Creek, so we decided to have a member of our bridal party pick them up for us so we didn’t have to pay the fee.
If we ever have another event, we will use them, but pick up and drop off ourselves.
Renting the equipment we needed was a smooth and easy process.

Recently rented some chafer dishes. I thought the service was great. It was quick and easy to get the items I wanted. On the return day, I came right as they were supposed to close. But a lady was nice enough to open the doors for me and allow me to return the items, so that I didn’t get charged for another day. I would definitely use this company again.

We have been using the services of C & M for more than 10 years. We have rented tables, chairs, linens, dishes, glassware, eating utensils and sometimes umbrellas. Each and every time the delivery is on time and quick. They have even helped us erect the tables — now that’s customer service! Kris is so helpful each and every time. The staff are professional and very helpful. I have recommended C & M to other friends for their party needs. Some for 40th birthday parties, some for Bar/​Bat Mitzvah needs and some like us just for a backyard party or inside party. I wish there were 10 stars to give because C & M deserves each and every one!

We used C&M Party Rentals for my husbands 40th birthday luau. We were really happy with C&M:
* I found all the chairs and tables I needed at a competitive price
* We live in Walnut Creek, so the delivery fee was very reasonable
* Since my husband’s party was a luau, they had additional hawaiian/​island themed props — we rented additional bamboo thatched umbrellas which many people commented on really making feel like a luau (and was necessary to block sun for a July party)
* They delivered and picked up on time
All and all, we were really happy with them

From ordering to the final pick up after our parties, C&M has always delivered excellent supplies, service and value. For years we have rented tables, chairs, linens, cocktail tables, and space heaters from C&M, and we always go back. The ordering process is easy with help from the consultative, knowledable staff. The prices cannot be beat. It’s amazing how a few $ 10 table rentals and a hand full of $ 1.50 chairs with cushions can transform our backyard. It’s even more amazing when the Monday after our party C&M comes and packs it all up for us!

We recently went here to rent folding chairs and some Air pots for coffee. The place was a little hard to find but we were able easily pick up our rentals. The people are nice and very helpful. The drop off was as easy and the pick up was. We will keep them in mind next time we throw a soirre.

I went in a little over a week before my wedding (which was on a weekday) and rented 100 white wooden padded chairs for the ceremony ($ 1.75 ea) they were delivered to the gazebo at Civic Park on time at 12pm (ceremony was at 2:30pm) and picked up on time at 4pm. I would use them again for an event.
(I found a cheaper place to rent my linens :) so I went somewhere else for those)

I rented an aisle runner and a cake stand from C&M for my wedding. When I went to pick up the aisle runner they didn’t have the length I ordered in stock. They had no explanation of where the aisle runner was that I ordered and told me I can take a longer one and «just tape it under». I declined that option, I wasn’t going to rig an aisle runner for my wedding.
The lady at the front was frustrated about the situation and took it out on me, the customer. After about 10 minutes of not knowing what was going on I asked her if I needed to go somewhere else and she snapped in a nasty voice, «if you would just give me a minute».
I am shocked that anyone speaks to their customers in this manner and disappointed that C&M didnt come through

Another party place that shall remain nameless (although they’ve already felt my 1 star wrath) failed to come through on their promise of glorious tables, chairs and linens for my works Thanksgiving event.
The day of they didn’t show and upon calling them said they WERE going to deliver the tables, unfortunately it would be 2 hours after the lunch (4 hours after their agreed delivery time) but hey, who says they had to do what they said, we were just their customers…
I’ve digressed, I’m here to celebrate C&M for the fact they saved the party. Without them we’d be table and chairless, sitting on the floor with plates in our laps.
We called them at 11:55, them being in Walnut Creek, us being in glorious Emeryville, getting off the phone at 12:10. They took our order and got here with all our needs by 1:00 on the dot.
Amazing work C&M, well done. Seriously though, if you can be twice as far away as your competitor, take the order a week after your competitor, and have one hour to deliver AND pull it off… how can I give less than 5 stars?
