Sonic

2÷7÷2016− 2100– Rude male waiter, complaining about having to make us ice cream (only reason we went there). We noticed the ice cream leaking out the side of one of the cups and to our surprise, there was not 1, but 2 pieces of scotch tape over two splits in the foam. I don’t know what kind of edibility scotch tape adhesive has, but totally inappropriate. It is called get a second cup if you accidentally squeeze it to hard and break it, not scotch tape it.

Ordered a hot dog with just mustard. Got hotdog with cheese. Same color, different taste.
Ordered a cheeseburger with just catsup. Got cheeseburger with just cheese. They must have extra cheese but no condiments. I doubt I’ll be back. The diet coke was o.k.

Stopped by on my way back to NH from New Haven. I fell in love with Sonic when I stumbled across one on the way to Raleigh, NC several years ago. I thought the stalls were really cool and employees on skates of course. I had a shake of some sort. I remember it being pretty good. Fast forward to earlier this year when I was snowbirding in northern CA and there was fortunately a Sonic not too far from where I was staying. Their peanut butter fudge shake is soooo good. I probably made one too many visits during my stay but it was all worth. So I was happy to find out there was one along the route I take back home when I visit New Haven. The peanut butter fudge shake is still just as good. It was neat that an employee skated out with my shake even though I was in the drive thru.
I’ve never tried their food items so I have no comment on that, but they do have the some of the best drinks and shakes and at a decent price.

The hot dogs and the tots are awesome. Stopped here a few times, service was quick and very friendly. Bacon and cheese pretzel dog, deff coming back

this is a great place for crackheads to hang out, they dont have to ruin their high by getting out of the car, i did not like going by this place at all

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! My chicken and onion rings taste like they were dipped in pixie stix. For 12 bucks, I should have gone to Applebee’s! My stomach already hurts.

Food is Good, actually great ! I love the hot dogs but the milkshakes are way to thick, I could barely get it out the straw.

I do love my sonic and I have no idea what I would do without it, however when you change the prices an start charging more for your food while the current menu board reads the old pricing, I believe you have crossed into «bait and switch» territory or perhaps @ truth in advertising… A $.40 increase in a meal isn’t going to break the bank but the principle of the matter is of paramount concern.
Please next time pay to change the menus PRIOR to up charging people ! Thanks again for the great food and wonderful service!

If you are in the mood for a quick hot dog, this is the place for you. The bacon hotdog w pretzel bun was good and fairly priced. Tots were excellent as well. I didn’t do the car side service but nothing wrong w nice girls skating to your car and giving you your food.

Normally don’t eat a lot of fast food but was in the area and had to give it a try. My lady and I were on the way back from the beach on a January day and both wanted something different. We choose to use the drive up stall. I had a little bit of a hard time hearing the hostess through the intercom but I am hard of hearing anyway. Got a coffee for me and ice cream for the lady. To my delight the coffee was decent and hot the ice cream tasty and cold. 5 stars because the server used manners, please, thank you and have a nice day. Not sure I will ever be back, but it was not because of the food or service.

You know, for a fast food joint it’s not half bad. The allure of the carhops (servers on roller blades) is lost here in New England for 8 months out of the year — but it is a fun novelty on a hot Summer day.
Ginormous selection in terms of food fast — from corn dogs, fried pickles, mozz sticks, thousands of lime aide concoctions the options are endless. Quality is better than McDonalds, but under a diner.
Sonic is not my first, second or even third choice for lunch in the immediate area — but sometimes I want to consume a weeks worth of calories in one meal and when I do, this is a top contender.

Came across this Sonic on my way back from NH, and was initially excited to stop by and grab a quick coney dog. I was surprised to find out though that my experience here was less than satisfactory/​what I expected.
I ordered a Coney chili and a New York hot dog. Both were mangled and doused with way too much cheese sauce and relish. The buns were also way moist/​soft and as a result just caused a huge mess while eating them. Usually very well made from other locations I’ve been too, but considering it was late at night and they weren’t packed, I was especially surprised at the crappy execution of my order. Not sure why they thought drowning my hot dog in cheese sauce was a good idea. Thank god it’s served in a paper tray and not just a bag.
The only thing saving this experience were the tater tots. Incredible as always. Regardless, I probably won’t be visiting this location ever again. I’d highly suggest visiting the Chick Fil A instead down the block.

My family & I go to Sonic 1 or 2 times a year. The chocolate shake has been a must for my husband & I ever since they opened. Went tonight & we were both very disappointed! I brought mine home & added chocolate sauce. We both would have sworn it was a vanilla shake. Burgers were good; came special ordered as requested. My daughter’s banana cream pie shake was yummy.

First of all, I don’t normally write reviews. Don’t have the time or inclination. But I need to warn the masses about this one. EEWWW!!!
I just ate there minutes ago, and I was stunned at the lack of flavor in the food. Bland is an understatement. Like CARDBOARD! I got the popcorn chicken and onion rings, the chicken was edible, just, but ever so flavorless despite my having ordered it «spicy» and the onion rings I gave up on altogether after just two. They were even worse. Cardboard rings more like.
The fries my mother got weren’t anything to brag about either, pretty soggy. In fact the only edible thing we got was her burger, which was ok.
Go to any other fast food place before this one, that’s all I can say.
OH and I almost forgot, after a terrible meal they refused to even give me a free refill on my $ 2 drink that costs them pennies to fill. COME ON that’s just adding insult to injury! Pathetic, and sealed the deal on me never coming back!

Best fast food joint period.
I always get a burger and just recently got hooked on their shakes. Tried their tots and fries and those were good as well.
I have waited at their huts a few times and was not disappointed with the service at all.
Also, I have gone through the drive thew multiple times and was not upset with that service either.
The food is always great and the staff is always friendly.
It is fun watching the employees skate around the parking lot and from what I gather from the staff, it is fun for the them as well.
It brings you back to an era when service mattered and waiting at tables was not necessary.
The wait never really bothered me other than opening week.
The parking lot is a bit tough to get out of, but I am seeing a lot of this in my reviews, so I guess it is common for eateries to place themselves on busy streets.
Price is what you would expect for a fast food burger place.
Whether you are an old timer looking for some nostalgia, a burger/​hot dog fanatic looking for another fix, or a family of four cursing down route 15 or 5, stop on by and enjoy a Great meal at a Great place.

Contrary to everyone else, I don’t think the food here is THAT bad. It’s fast food, what else would you expect?
As for the service, this place is INCREDIBLY slow. And they also got our order completely wrong, except for the drinks. (which were phenomenal, if the service wasn’t so slow, I would come for those alone…) we ordered a burger, small tots, small tots with cheese, and an order of onion rings. What we received was: a chicken sandwich, small tots, and fries with cheese. What. The. Actual. Fuck.
If you enjoy playing Russian roulette with fast food, then this is the place for you.
…perhaps the drive-​thru would have been a better option.

Sonic is what it is. It’s fast food, delivered on roller skates, and eaten in the car.
I do like the popcorn chicken– it’s crispy and you get a lot of pieces for your money. I do wish they had a sweet and sour dipping sauce, though. Tater tots are also good, and take me back to my childhood snacking days.
Happy hour is from 2 – 4, and all slushes/​drinks are half off. Sadly, it does not cover the milkshakes.
I also wish there was at least one or two healthly options, besides the apple slices. Maybe a salad would be a nice menu addition, especially since I am sitting in my car, it’d be easy enough to eat.
This location is right off the Merritt, making it a very easy road trip stop.

Sonics rock, we need some on the South Shore of Boston.
This location was easy off /​easy on. She really liked her shake, I liked my «Chicago dog» with chili tots.

I wish I owned this place. At a proper exit off the hwy and very convenient.

I was really resistant to try Sonic. I’m not a fast food guy and I don’t like hype. However, this place delivers. The burger tasted fresh, as did the fries. I’m a sucker for retro service and like how the lady comes to the car.
Sonic is not fancy, but it delivers damn good food and a decent price with a neat hook. They’ve made a good choice not over expanding and keeping it special. Recommended.
