First let me start by saying if I could give a zero star review I would. We bought our windows approximately five years ago and had our bedroom window and Our two children’s bedroom windows replaced. We started having issues with our windows, mainly the bedroom window, about a year ago. We had See Thru Windows come to our house to look at the damage. The large bedroom window was leaking in the lower right corner on the inside and had damaged all of the drywall and paint because of the leak. They told us that they would come out for an appointment to check it and see what needed to be done. The first appointment that they made with us was in the middle of June and they cancel that appointment saying that their truck was broke down and that the driver could not get to us to work that day. We reset the appointment with them and the day of that appointment they called us in the morning, again, telling us that the truck was broke down and that something had fallen off the truck that they could not drive it. My has been laughed because he’s worked and auto-​parts and he said that in order for the piece to fall off the truck that they said fell off, the wheel and axle would have to falling off as well. So again more lies and excuses. They finally did come to our house to look at the window they said that they would need to uninstall it, And reinstall it. They set an appointment for that and had a gentleman come out to fix the window. After the uninstall and reinstall the window was fine for a few weeks until it started to rain torrential downpours and the windows started to leak in the center, middle, top of that window to the point where I had to get a bucket to catch the rain. I called them that evening at 11 PM when it started raining in coming in the house to tell them that they needed to come and fix my window to prevent the damage from spreading any further. I asked them to call me back before 10 AM the following morning to set up an appointment and at 11 o’clock I still have not heard back from them, so I called their office to talk to Frank. Frank said that he was «just getting ready to call me back» and then ask what could be done to fix the window. I told him how the window had been uninstalled and reinstalled, and how the gentleman who is installing the window had been hanging out the window to do the caulking around the trim from my second story. He did not have a ladder to do the work on the outside of the house. The reply from Frank was «oh he must be a monkey». I did not find his comment amusing, and I did not find his tone very helpful. He was very rude. This past Tuesday the window company was to be at our house between 8 AM and 10 AM and at about a quarter till 10 the service person called to tell my husband that he would not be there between the timeframe because he was running late. We had an appointment with other people at 11 AM and he could not work on the house while those people were here. We ask for him to come back at a later Time that day, and he said that he could not. Then it started to rain that evening and water started coming into our house again we ended up having four buckets underneath the holes that were created in the trim where water was coming into my house for about three hours. One of the buckets that we had filled where the major-​league was had about 6 inches of water in it by the time the storm had passed our house. My husband took it upon himself to go out of the window to duck tape the siding and the trim to keep the water from coming down the siding into our house. when the area was dry from not having rain the next day, he went out to put caulking to hopefully keep more water from coming in. See-​through window was supposed to come to our house on Friday, but on Friday it was raining so they did not come to look at the window at all. Again we had a appointment from 8 to 10 AM, but we did not receive a phone call until 10:16am that they would not be coming out to our house to repair or look at the window that day. A little late, I would say, to be cancelling. That could call should have been made first thing in the morning, as my husband was taking the day off of work to be here for them. I have talk to an attorney I have talked to another window company that is going to repair and fix the window correctly so that we do not have issues with the window from this point out. The cost of the expenses incurred by my husband and myself will be billed to See Thru Windows for them to pay, for since they did not do the job they should have to begin with. If I have to take them to small claims court, I will. I am tired of dealing with the rude, unprofessional, and incompetent people that work for this company. I have attached pictures of the damages from June as well as the current damages. A picture can say 1000 words which is probably less than what this review is, but the pictures and the evidence do not lie.

This company is not a good one. I went to Home Advisor to get some bids on a replacement door for a rental property that I owned and I never at any point during the process that I was negotiating with other companies did I hear from this company. It was not until nearly 6 months later that I heard from this company and they asked how my door replacement project was going. I was completely puzzled. I was thinking that was 6 months ago, why are they asking me about this now? I told them that I finished that project months ago. They asked if I had any other projects that I needed work on and I said not now. I thought that was the end, but it was just the beginning.
Soon after that they would call every few months and ask about the exact same project, you know the one that I already told them that I completed!!! I told them that I had their contact information and that I would call them if I needed help and there was no need to keep calling me. But they still continued. So then it just became a nuisance and last year I decided after over a year of receiving these annoying phone calls that I would put an Auto-​Reject on my Phone (Now you know See-​Thru Windows why you can’t contact me anymore). Despite having Auto-​reject I can still see when they call. A few months ago I received a phone call for 4 straight days!!! 4 straight days!!! This is complete harassment.
But what took the cake for me is after receiving another one of their phone calls today, for the second day in a row (again on Auto-​reject), I decided to look up and see if anyone else had experience this same level of harassment and here I ended up on Unilocal.The thing that got me was Andi S. response to one of the posters on here where she basically tried to justify this behavior.
Look I get it, you want to make money, you want to have business, but most businesses that go about it in unscrupulous ways don’t succeed. If a customer has asked you to stop calling them, you should respect their request. You are not entitled to anyone’s business no matter how good you think your work is. If I tell you that I have completed a project over a year ago, don’t keep calling me a year later asking me about the same project!!! If I ask you to stop calling me, YOU STOP CALLING ME!!!
When you call my phone, you are on my personal time and so you do not have a right as a business to demand that time. This is something they clearly do not understand. Why would anyone in their right mind read some of these reviews and want to do business with this company? If you are prospective customer, do us all a favor and go somewhere else, you will avoid a headache and maybe they will stop harassing the rest of us.

Well here goes a review for this place. Guy walks in friendly enough. Hello how’s it going yatayata. Everything was fine until he says the price of storm doors. 1800 for the lowest one. I say that’s a bit out of our price range. He then goes into a furious rant about lowes sucking at storm doors and they will cost like 500. Told him we got quotes 300. We then said maybe on a 900 dollar door. He then proceeds to say no we don’t take maybe. Really no maybe not every decision can be made on the spot. We say maybe he says he won’t waste time coming back when he can go install 3000 dollar blinds at a house. Anyways seems like a lot of people dislike this store because of their customer service so I’m sure this review is nothing to them. They don’t seem to improve it. Will probably be out of business if they don’t change. Just another loyal customer to the little guys turned away

The only good thing was the price and the fact that they replaced our old crank windows (aka casement windows).
The bad news, is that these windows are poor quality, no matter what these guys tell you (obviously the cheap prices should translate into cheap labor and poor window installation/​quality).
We’ve had almost all of the windows in our home replaced by these guys and by observation it seemed like they were contracted out. Not professional and very messy! I was shocked and slightly uncomfortable with the work they were performing. (although they sent out about 6 guys, 1 actually seemed like he worked for See Thru and was giving the directions)
After having the windows in for 1yr a few of them started leaking!?! Rain water was coming in because of the CHEAP job they performed. I rather pay a little more for the SEAL to stay!
The caulk these guys use has to be the LOWEST grade there is!
So imagine my windows with a brown/​black border around them from this stuff — looks terrible up close.
We called to complain, they sent one guy out denying the poor quality of work performed, even though it was RAINING inside my house he was STILL in denial… His resolution was to re-​caulk around the windows and he did a sloppy job. oh and all of that is black now –4months ago.
The best part about these windows are the fact that they look new from a distance and are insulated better than the crank windows (obviously) but I would not recommend them unless they change their work habits and upgrade the quality of their window installation… AT LEAST UPGRADE ON THE CAULK!

I have had poor service from the «big box» stores when it comes to home renovation. I wanted a local company that does not contract its work out and has that personal touch. I was able to communicate directly with the owner who has been in this business quite a while. This is the third time I have called upon them. They did my windows, made a custom deck out the kitchen and my gutters. Honestly, their pricing is competitive, they have quality products, and their employees are just plain down to earth and professional.

On December 18 unfinished wood around one skylight has been painted by the compnay. It still sits crooked. You would hope that when you replace things they don’t look worse than the original. In this case, I may need to hire someone to see if the skylights can be adjusted. I was told that the old ones were crooked as well, but nobody could see that. That sounds good to me.

The work that See Thru did for me was for the installation of a new front door. I had been trying to get a door contractor to do this work for me for about 6 months. I was so thrilled when I was contacted by See-​Thru after using their web site.
The installation crew from See Thru was cleaning up several times during the job and did an incredible job of cleaning up after the job was complete. The door out of the box was just beautiful. When installation was almost complete and when I thought it looked great they would still work on the finish even more to make sure it was immaculate! What professionals!
I would definitely recommend See-​Thru Windows to my friends and family. I will also will be using them for future projects around my house.

This company has been an absolute pleasure to do business with. I have needed to call on them several times and in each and every occasion they have demonstrated the highest level of integrity in the manner in which they conduct business. I am looking forward to doing business with them again in the near future when the opportunity presents it’s self.

Do not waste you time with this company. I was interested in using them I called and set up an estimate for my patio door and I ventured out to the show room before the «SALESMAN» came. This person was the WORST! He used some of the worst tactics to tell me windows. First his sales pitch started to be quite lengthy so I nicely asked him to lets continue on with pricing. His reply was «I cant come to your job and do yours the same way you can’t do mine. I want to educate you about the door.» So then his high pressure sales tactic was you have a today price and a price that is good for a year. I told him i was not going to make a decision right then because I am going to sleep on a 4k job. This is were the salesman started to become disrespectful. He then said «What do you have to think about? You have a BUSTED door, you probably put plastic up against the door to keep the drafts out» Then he asked me how much were my electric bills. After he left I called and complained about him to the company. Jonathan Pope the customer service manager was very helpful and upset that this happened. Unfortunately there was nothing he could do to rectify that experience. After this estimate I had 2 other estimates from Pella and B&B which both had estimates at half of the price. 6 foot sliding glass doors should not cost 4K for vinyl.

This place is actually pretty good. They do free estimates, and the work has a lifetime transferable warranty. (If my friend sells her home, the warranty transfers to the new owners)
I didn’t get the work done at my place, but my friend used them for a window in their house. The sales guy knew his stuff, and was really patient while we googled things while he was talking, like the prices of windows at Lowes and Home Depot. See-​Thru is more expensive than those places, but their windows are really good quality, and they install them for you. He also talked about a lot of others things that I really don’t recall (something about some kind of gas in the windows or something), but he was really knowledgeable.
Some of the other reviewers said that they don’t make their stuff there — The sales guy told me that some of their stuff is made in house — like really special pieces, but most are from a different company. Either way, the windows look awesome.
All of the other reviews are really old — I guess the company got their stuff together, because we have no complaints! Highly recommend.

VERY high pressure salesman that will tell you anything to make a sale. You’ll also never get him out of your house. If you’re a woman looking to buy windows, please have another man with you when the salesman arrives! The salesman smelled like cigarettes and looked like he just got done driving a dump truck; very unprofessional. On top of that, he was kind of a chauvenist.
Lots of lies. I was told they made the windows and doors. NO. They get them through another company and are a 3^rd party. I was also shown an example of a window that wouldn’t let heat through. NO. Mine definitely lets heat through AND stink bugs too. Halfway through his show-​and-​tell he told me that the example prop windows he brought with him weren’t the ones I’d get either, but to trust him that they were good. I figured that whatever would happen, I’d deal with their 100% satisfaction guarantee (another lie I found out about later). The windows I had installed weren’t quite like I was initially promised, and one was completely wrong. I had to fight to get a refund for one of the windows. I figured, hey — there’s that guarantee, right? WRONG. You really have to fight them for that to kick in.
The regional manager was very sexist when I contacted him. He laughed at me and then dared me to complain to outside agencies. Oh… and I did. Although he called me a ‘little lady’ over the phone, I showed him that ladies also have tempers. What else??? Their screens are like tissue paper, so consider yourself forewarned. It’s been 2 years and I already had springs broken on one of my windows just via opening it. I called their office today about repairing it (via lifetime warranty) and no one answered the phone, plus no one called me back. It’s a part-​time job dealing with these people because their customer service is so bad.
The only positive thing I could say was it took them less than an hour to pop out all my windows in my townhouse and put in the new ones. Those people were contractors though, so they seemed to know what they were doing. The walls still have cracks in them though, which may not be exactly what someone in a pristine and pricey home would like to see. Me however, that’s no biggie.
Overall, this was one of the worst situations I’ve endured for such a pricey venture of around 7k. Next time I’ll go through Lowe’s or Home Depot. I’ve learned all window companies are bad, but at least there’s a corporate big shot that you can eventually reach with those companies. The smaller the company, the more they think they can screw you over. It gets tiring writing to the BBB and the county consumer offices because of companies like this.

These people ignore the Do Not Call Registry and use high pressure to sell. Calling with 301−231−5100 number, Eric Brown shows and they say they are See Thru Windows. They are all over the complaint sites for phone solicitation if one just looks it up. When we tell them we have new windows and don’t want any more, they try to sell some other contracting job. When told we are on Do Not Call Registry, they say we have to update it or say we are not on it. And they call back every few months. I would just research them and their number were I looking for contracting job!

These guys were nice enough to cold call me today about the windows that they had replaced 6 years ago — to see if I needed any more work. I couldn’t remember the name of the company before this, so it was kind of them to call and let me know so I could write this review. So here’s my story…
The Virginia office of this company did my townhouse windows and seemed to do a good job. (I since sold that place, and hopefully the person didn’t have the issues I had with the actual installation). But they guys that did the install were professional, and I didn’t have any problems so when I needed to replace a few windows in our new house I thought I’d give them a call. I had to use the Waldorf branch now that I’m in Maryland and it was nothing like my first experience.
They people they sent to do install the windows here were the most disgusting, unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. The crew the sent sat around half the time, smoked and left buts and just threw their tools all over my brand new Pottery Barn (i.e. NOT cheap) outdoor furniture. The saw left a giant gash in the table, and it wasn’t even a week old! The installation was shoddy and they actually nailed one of the windows shut! As an «apology» to make up for the damage to the table they asked if they could replace the other window in the living room that I wasn’t having done (I had a screened porch put on and switched a door to a window & vice versa). So I agreed — turns out that was a bad idea!
They fabricated that window, and several weeks later they called to then come install that one. They sent a single guy this time, who (hard to believe it) but was even more unprofessional than the last crew). The worst part was, he asked to use the toilet. Well, he ABUSED the toilet! Clogged it up, left it and went on his merry way.
Then a few years later, we kept having leaking issues. Turns they did not caulk or flash anything, so I just had to replace all the windows again as there was massive rain and water damage to the house and drywall inside. We had to remove a good bit of it from around the windows due to mold.
I definately would NOT recommend this company.

We bought a front door and spent $ 8k. This is not a quality firm or one that honors their word. Salesperson committed to something that they failed to deliver and then got ugly when called on it. President won’t return letters or calls. Stay away from these guys as they are long on promises and short on delivery.
