Walked in and was greeted by Garnell. I am not a hair connoisseur so, I had a ton of questions. He answered all of my hundred questions with ease. The hair I actually wanted is on their online website but not in store. Still, they have great natural hair products and I’ll definitely come back.

I try to be objective with my reviews. The complaints I have about this business is that it took three weeks before I received my order. In addition, the unit was tampered with when I received it. I purchased JOANNE-​JK TRADING WIG 1B from here about seven months ago. I decided to try this company because they were the only ones who carried that wig and the price was great. It took them three weeks to send the wig. This was after numerous emails, phone calls, and the beginning of a BBB complaint. I did receive my unit. When I did, it was not in the manufacture’s box, but a LUXE Beauty Supply one. I didn’t stress about that, but what concerned me was that the unit didn’t have its original tags, and the unit’s name on the box was hand written. Also, it was curled at the end, like someone had it outside the box styling it.
The only reason that I knew that it was the item I ordered was because I exclusively wear JK Trading and can spot the construction and quality from a mile away. I am just replacing this wig and I have maintained it this long. I am grateful that I EVENTUALLY received my order (unfortunately weeks after I needed it), however, I am reluctant to purchase from them again. For what its worth they do have the best prices for JK Trading wigs. I have only purchased from them once, but it wasn’t a good experience. Many of these businesses prey on Black women (whether you wear wigs, weaves, or order hair products for natural care) and if this is really a Black owned business then she should be ashamed of herself.

I’ve been here once after receiving many ads in the mail from this store that I decided to go check them out. It’s very convenient to locate since it can clearly be seen right off 301 South. The store is beautiful outside & inside. It looks very modern. It’s small in size but well stocked. However, the prices are marked up a lot higher than the other beauty supplies in the area. And I don’t mean just a dollar difference. Also the sales associates were rude. When we first walked in they were clearly in the middle of a conversation with each & were laughing hysterically. But as soon as we walk through the door they just look at us & get dealthy quiet. They all three looked right at us & said absolutely nothing, no «hello», no «how can we help you», nothing. They just looked us up & down & made nasty faces. It was weird & I felt uncomfortable. It’s like we were inconveniencing them & they just wanted us to leave. One of the ladies had this stank look on her face & when we asked a question she barked at us & rolled her eyes. I walked around the store & noticed they carry some natural products that I usually gave to order exclusively online so it was nice that I can conveniently buy them there but once again … The prices… Even shea moisture was like $ 11 or $ 12 when you can buy it for $ 8 at walgreens or target even when it’s not on sale.
Because of the prices & the customer service I won’t be back but maybe your experience will be better than mine.

This is solely a review for the online store. They have the worst shipping out of all the hair sites. Not only is it 12 days post order and no product but no real effort being made to expedite a replacement order. Never again will I purchase from this site. I ordered from Sam’s Beauty and Clair Hair and received my packages within in days.

If you’re a natural gal, this place is the only place you’ll need. She is stocked with all of the favorites of any «naturalista». Service was very personable, and the knowledge of the owner was incredible. BTW, be sure to log onto the website prior to going because she often has some type of coupon listed there. The added bonus is she’s right next to a sushi place… lol

I went to this story for the first time yesterday and was very pleased with the service I received. I drove just about 20 miles, just to get my products and experience 5 star customer service. The staff was very knowledgable and patient. I found everything I needed. Even the bag they put your purchased products in, was different, I’ve never gone to a beauty supply store where the bag they give isn’t just a black or white bag that says thank you, come again. There bags are very decorative, and honestly cute. (See pic) You can tell this business pays close attention to every detail all the way down to the bag you receive. I did purchase a lot of things, so I don’t know if every purchase comes with decorative bag, but my purchase yesterday did, which wowed me. I left the store feeling completely satisfied while rocking a stylish bag! How often can you say that leaving a beauty supply store! I will be getting all my products from here, even when it about 20 miles away! That’s how much I’m supporting this store!

I have been into the store a few times as I get my liquid Castille soap from them. When I visited recently, I noticed a larger inventory of natural products and was extremely pleased. There were a few items that I do notice are a bit pricey (Pantene Naturals), and I will continue to get mine from WalMart since it is cheaper, but the other items that I get (As I Am Coconut co wash, Aunt Jackie’s detangler) I will continue to purchase. The owner is very pleasant, and gives good recommendations for customers to try.

I have ordered from this online store almost monthly for the past 2 years. Shipping is always fast and reliable and I have always loved each and every purchase. When I found out they had a MD location I drove over 3 hours to come to this store. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. For starters the store is the most beautiful I have ever seen. Think Sephora meets beauty supply. The staff was amazing and patient and each one was so unique with great personalities. There is a great selection of wigs, products, hair and accessories. It does not matter to me nor should it to anyone else who owns Luxe, all that does matter is it puts ALL other beauty supply stores bigger and smaller to shame. I left from this store and felt completely satisfied and treated with respect. No matter if you order online or come in the store your experience will be awesome!

After filing complaints with PayPay and the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the vendor refunded my money. However, they used very carefully-​worded and deceitful language to convey their version. For instance, they said «when a customer has an issue, Luxe offers an alternative product, a backorder, or a refund.» THIS customer wasn’t offered a refund or even updated about the status until I complained and filed reports. I will keep my low rating. But, just wanted to note that the refund was finally issued.
