Business Owner

Kevin Hoag has guided the growth of CommTank, Inc. since he started the company in 1994. CommTank now has two locations, one in Wakefield, MA to serve the Boston Area and one in Bedford, NH to serve Southern NH. From the time he installed his first basement heating oil tank, to the recent installation of an underground tank at one of our Massachusetts schools, he enjoys a hands-​on and personal approach to business. Today he specializes in tank tightness testing, remediation, fuel tank removals and installations. Kevin also provides training to home inspectors as part of a course he created for the state. In addition to leading his company Kevin is active in his community as a hockey coach and recently formed a charitable organization, CommTank Cares, for non-​profit organizations that require heating oil assistance.

Ok so… what do you do when you have 225 gallons of oil delivered and you tank rusts out and pops a leak? PANIC! I called my oilman and told him I was filling plastic pans with the leaking oil. He told me he would send s omebody over the next morning. Never called/showed.I called Comm Tank, and within the hour The their sales mgr was at my house. He explained in detail every aspect of the project including cost. He had a crew of two at my house within a few hours;
They drained my tank, cut up the old tank, and installed the new tank. They put the oil back in the new tank and were done in about 3 hours. The Installers Adalio and Nelson were very professional and courteous, plus they did an exceptional job.
Great customer service. I Highly recommend them.

I had the oil tank removed from my basement today by Santiago and Mario from Comm Tank. Right on time. Pleasant, courteous, professional and obviously well experienced. They had to pump out about 20 gallons remaining in the tank and did it without spilling a drop. (OK, maybe one tiny drop, but really, just the size of a dime!)
They had to cut the tank in half to remove it through my uncomfortably small bulkhead which they did quickly and cleanly. The whole process took about 50 minutes. They asked me to inspect their work before even writing up an invoice and the place was cleaner than before they arrived. I’m about to call their office to let their employer know these two did exceptional work… which more satisfied customers ought to do in my opinion.

Comm Tank came today during their scheduled time and in about an hour removed our oil tank and fill pipes and patched the holes in the concrete. There was no mess and the both men were courteous and professional. Outstanding company. I would highly recommend.

Commonwealth Tank was recommended to me by the contractor that installed my new heating system. Their customer service/​scheduling department was very friendly and able to easily work around my schedule. One the day of the removal, the team (2 men) arrived on time and were both very friendly. My basement was still pretty cluttered (recently moved into the house) and they were very careful when moving boxes out of the way. They were very professional and clean, and the job only took about an hour. When they finished, they had me look at the space to make sure I was happy with the work. The holes in the foundation from the fill pipe were removed and sealed neatly with cement, no oil had been spilled on the floor, and everything had been cleaned very thoroughly… they even used air freshener to remove the fuel oil odor. I highly recommend Comm Tank due to their on time arrival, quick yet thorough work, and good customer service.
