After relocating to a new city, one of the first things we all need to do is find a trusted physician, dentist, and yes — a mechanic. Unfortunately I have probably had more difficulty finding the good mechanic than the two former professionals. Maybe there is just less variation with doctors and dentists? Now that we have found Wake Tire & Service we have complete confidence in their ability to diagnose, repair, and charge for required labor and parts using logic and honesty as their standards. We have had so many of these quick oil change shops give us a low price oil change only to tell us we now need other costly repairs. Some even suggest we could be in danger if we didn’t act «immediately». Fortunately I know a bit about car repair and maintenance to not to panic while getting a second estimate. I am amazed that over the past 5 years of getting this 2^nd opinion for suggested repairs to our 3 autos, the folks at Wake Tire and Service have not only diagnosed needed repairs at much better price estimates than other shops — on three separate times they reported back to us that there were absolutely no issues! One time the mechanic smiled and simply stated” Mr. — if you insist I can replace this part and take your money but since there is nothing wrong — I would prefer you keep your money until a time when you really do have something wrong and I will charge you then”. Needless to sat we are hooked. So, if you want honest, fair prices and only needed work done to your car — we highly recommend Wake Tire & Service. Good luck with the doctor and dentist!

I have used Wake Tire to take care of my car for over 5 years now and they do an incredible job. They hooked me in as a long time customer when they told me that the $ 1200 worth of repairs that another service center recommended was not actually needed. Saved me a bunch of money and now they have my business for as long as I’m in the Triangle.

Doesn’t get any better as far as customer service and honesty. The staff is super nice and really try to educate you as far as what is going on with your car. I dropped my car off to get a brake job, and they basically told me that I didn’t need a brake job, topped off the fluid and told me to watch the level to make sure there isn’t a slow leak in my master cylinder. They totally could have changed my brakes AND told me I had to replace my rotors, and I would have never questioned it. They have done tons of work for my mom, and this is the only place my husband and I will take our cars to be serviced. They completely exemplify what customer service should be. So refreshing!

I am a woman with a husband who knows nothing about cars… scary when your car is giving you trouble!
First time I took my car here was for tires. I needed 2 new tires for my Mazda 3, and I priced at least 10 places out, and Wake Tire had the cheapest price for the highest quality tire. Since that experience, we have been taking our cars to them and have not once been let down.
A couple of experiences to share to convince you they are fabulous:
1. Took my Mazda 3 to get an alignment (was expecting a $ 200-​$ 300 bill). They call me after my car was there for about 30 minutes and said «Michelle, you don’t need an alignment, you needed air in your tires and a rotation». Um… AWESOME. Thanks for not ripping me off when you could have! I think they only charged me $ 20 bucks for the tire rotation.
2. My brakes have been shaking like a goshdarn earthquake is happening in the car everytime I have to break, esp going down a hill. Terrified to take it in, thinking I would need a whole new brake system (pads and rotars), I waited a good 3 weeks to finally give in. I was seriously expecting to spend about $ 800. Sickening. About 2 hours after dropping it off, my hubs called and said «they called… it’s done… guess the price». I made him tell me immediately, and he said $ 98 dollars!!! WHAT!!! I didn’t need new pads or rotars, just needed the rotars to be grinded down (whatever that means). Thank you again for not ripping me off when you could have!!!
These guys are honest, fast, and affordable. HIGHLY recommended!
