Small but quaint salon.
Located in Waipahu, right behind Times Supermarket, and on the same strip as the Waipahu Transit. I started coming here, since one of my good friends decided to rent out a chair at this Salon.
The shop has 4 chairs, 2 hair wash stations, a bathroom, and one sofa. The shop itself is really nice and clean, however, it seems a bit to squished for my liking. On the plus side, I believe this place is only reservations only through the barber that are renting out chairs.
You will never know if it will be too crowded, or empty, it really depends on when the barbers have appointments. Most of the time I’ve been here I have never had a bad experience, however there was this one time where there was just 4 people and it was too loud, seemed like it was to small for the barbers to even move around. You don’t want someone to «accidentally» bump a barber while theyre cutting hair right? LOL OOps! But I know my barber is bound to do a great job, no matter the crowd in there.
I usually get my hair cut once every month, or 2 depends how lazy I am haha.

Dessire is one of my good friends since high school, and I have always gone to her for all my hair problems! She takes appointments so please message me if you want to make an appointment with her, and I can let her know.
She does all ages, and also does hair colors.

By far the best on the island! Call Jay ahead of time, set up an appointment, and get ready for an awesome/​fresh/​dope/​clean/​lined-​up haircut. No other shop comes close; I drive 30 miles roundtrip for a reason.

Nice, clean shop. My family gets all there hair needs done by Desiree. She’s great with men, women, and children. Always so prettily pleased with my layers and my son always looking like a little gentleman. She offers stamp cards and discounts! If I could give her 10 stars I would… Best to make an appointment.

Jay is by far the most Talented hairstylist I’ve ever been to! He takes his time and always does the best work! His new Salon is amazing! If you don’t check him out you’re missing out!

I just got my hair done by Lin and I must say that I am absolutely more than pleased! My hairstylist left the island and I am so thankful that I found Lin! She will work with your ideas and makes them a reality, if not better! Lin is a very experienced hair stylist and I would recommend her to anyone!!! I would rate her service a 10 if I could!!!

Talented barbers and hairstylists! Didn’t know this salon existed. Everyone is so nice, friendly and easy to get along with. The guy that did my hair took his time and made sure I was satisfied, I forgot his name lol, I think it was manny or something. These guys are up to date with the hairstyles, they execute sick and quality work. The salon is nice and very relaxing, i love their music, I could just fall asleep in there. Recommend giving this place a visit.

Jay is awesome!!! I would have to say that he is the best hair stylist that I’ve been to! Walking in, I never thought that this guy could do my hair the way I wanted but he go it on the dot! Awesome shop, great environment and awesome service!

Jay does a very good job cutting hair. Ever since I was a freshman in high school I’ve been getting my cuts from him. Been following this guy from hair salon to hair salon. He’s very nice and approachable.
His salon emerged from an old salon that used to be there called lilys. I have to say he really cleaned up the place and really built it almost from the ground up. The environment is really clean, has a couch for a waiting area and everything you expect from a hair salon.
As far as the hair cutting goes, you can never go wrong. It’s $ 20 like all other haircuts but what sets him apart from others is how he cuts and serves his customers. When I get my line ups from him it’s always crispy and on point. He also cleans up the side burns and all the extra stuff really well using a blade. On top of that, a hair wash is included with the $ 20 and he offers gel if you want. He takes care and he’s also very knowledgeable when it comes to hair. Schedule early it’s worth it. Lord knows how many bad haircuts I’ve received when finding a barber.

Lily & Linda is so wonderful & nice! She was always my go to hair stylist! Hands down, she did an amazing job on my hair and boyfriends mothers hair. Did a hair cut & hair color I’m in love with it. Highly recommend

JStyle Salon is hands down the best salon that I’ve been to. Very comfortable and soothing environment. I honestly would not mind waiting die to the fact that it’s so comforting. Apart from his shop, did I mention his skill?! I’ve never had a hairline so straight in my life. Very nice haircut and he also washes your hair afterwards and makes sure you’re set before you leave! He doesn’t leave hair particles all over your body like other mediocre shops do. Jstyles is the place to go and I won’t be going any where else. Thanks Jay!

Just moved from Maui and needed to find a stylist. I went to see Tonya and she is awesome! She knows how deal with my hair. I love the layers. Next time, color and highlights!

Lily has been my go to hairstylist since intermediate days. Lol, I had her doing my scene hairstyles back in the day. She is such a kind and funny lady and very easy to talk to. I like that she takes the time to understand what I want my end results to look like. The color and cut is exactly what I wanted and I got it for a good price! XD She worked very hard on my wild hair and made sure I went home happy: D

Jay is my hairstylist/​barber, now this guy is a stylist! He can fade he can style and he can put designs or hair tattoo PLUS he does women’s hair and color! If your looking for a great barber/​hairstylist come down to jaystyles salon you won’t be disappointed awesome place plus affordable prices.
