Willow Stream Spa

If you get a chance pick Noël or Jamie! My husband and I did the honeymoon massage and oh my goodness. It was fabulous! We have 3 other spa treatments planned for this trip because of the excellence we received today!

I didn’t have time to get a manicure before going on vacation. My husband and I were staying at the Kea Lani, so I called this spa from the airport to make an appointment. They were fairly flexible with openings, and I was able to get in the next day at a time that worked perfectly in our schedule. I got a gel manicure and am very happy with it. The nail technician was great, not overly chatty (which I greatly appreciated!), and I am very happy with my manicure. If we ever come back to Maui and stay in this area, I’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at the Kea Lani for our honeymoon and reserved a couples massage. Our overall experience was positive, but a few things weren’t perfect. The hostesses didn’t greet us with the same charm as the other hotel staff, and seemed to be doing us a favor by answering questions and showing us around. Before our massage, we enjoyed their sauna, steam room, and showers. I wasn’t terribly impressed with their facility (or at least the men’s side) and frankly expected more. Our relaxation massages were great, possibly the fastest 90 minutes of my life. We had a wonderfully relaxing morning in the spa and enjoyed our poolside cabana that came with our treatments in the afternoon. If we were to return to Kea Lani (God willing), I would probably would not return and check out another spa in the area.

I am ruined for life-​no massage can ever compare to the massage I received today in the Oceanside cabana. Other spas play cd’s with sounds of waves and use scented sprays. Here, I had the sounds of the actual waves, the scent of the ocean and flowers with tropical breezes blowing. Also, the massage itself was really great. It was my first lomi lomi, and it was perfect! After the massage, you can use the spa area which features different showers and a mud bar. If you are going to get a massage in Hawaii, don’t do it in a room like you can get a massage anywhere. I highly recommend you get it here.

I’m leaving a review specifically on the quality of a massage I received at the Willow Stream Spa last week; while the configuration and spa facilities are certainly fine, I wouldn’t rank them higher than some of the better spas here in California.
I get a lot of massages in a lot of different places. I’ve had some horrible ones, tons of mediocre ones, some great ones, and a few fantastic ones, and one of those fantastic ones was from Dean at Willow Stream.
I suffer from knots (aka «trigger points») in my shoulders and upper back. They’re not a source of severe pain or discomfort, but they retain a lot of tension and every few weeks I love to get a great release from trained hands who know how to work them.
Dean was fantastic. Let me put it this way. I had a little discomfort in the face pad when I was face down and I told myself that the second I wasn’t loving what he was doing to my back, neck, and head I would say something about it. I think 50 minutes went by before I had a 3 second window to say something. It was that good.
Next time I’m in Maui, I’m coming here and hoping Dean is still around. Thanks.

I’m a spa junkie so let me say one of the best massages I have had so far thanks to Teri!
Her magic hands are something to be reckoned with.
She has extensively learned her craft by visiting Bali and traveling the world learning technique.
Her style seems she is knowledgable with acupressure and points that make your body tingle in all the right places.
She does a lomi lomi style with her own fusion of goodness! You have choice of lotion or coconut oils as your base. Coconut hands down go for it!
The aromatherapy smells or so intoxicating leaving you in luxurious state of heaven.
The facility itself is welcoming.
Once you use facilities before of after your treatment your sure to enjoy.
There is a blended unisex holding section before you are called into your treatment. If you are a bit shy you might want to walk in exact time of treatment time. For myself no biggie just sipped on my water and awaited to be called in.
The cucumber water is the bomb make sure you try it and stay hydrated!!!

The Kea Lani is our go to hotel on Maui, excellence is provided in every service at this resort. The service team members in the spa are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.
The Willow Stream Spa has been totally redone, and the final product is luxurious and high end. There is a peaceful waiting/​serenity room as well as private men and women’s spa/​serenity rooms. Refreshing and revitalizing beverages and snacks are always provides!
In the women’s area each guest receives a private locker with electronic key pad, stocked with robe, slippers, and towel. The attendants will lead first time guests to give them the tour of the complimentary amenities provided. There are 4(+) fully stocked showers, a heated stone bench, and sauna in addition to the specialty showers. Channel showed me the clay/​mud bar options to be applied to the body before using the sauna (or heated bench if unable to use sauna). She explained the hot cold therapy that is extremely beneficial for tight muscles and pointed out the cool rain shower adjacent to the sauna, with jets on all sides of the body.
After the intro I changed into robe, got some cucumber water, used the mud, and steamed in the sauna. I used the cool rain shower and then tried another specialty shower with four different themes based on island rains. So relaxing and cool!
These extra special additions definitely make an early check in (30min-​1hr) a must!
I had a facial don’t by a really knowledgable and awesome woman named Christie. She really knew the products I needed, and the products she was working with. I appreciated her insight as it has totally transformed my facial skin care! I would recommend her to anyone!

Phenomenal job by Shannon and Brandon at the dayspa. 90 minute honeymoon couples package was fantastic even if your not on your honeymoon. Everything was great front the front staff until the end!
