Excellent fast service and the guy taught me how and why to lubricate the locks to make them easier to use and last longer. I so appreciated their good service. I will always call them when in need of help.
Someone stole my keys while I was walking on the beach but Ray’s was here in 30 minutes just like they told me on the phone. What a relief!

Bent my auto key and went to 5 other places before Rays to go and get my key cut. However, this was the only place that could do it. Although their office area does take you back a little, it doesn’t compromise their professional, kind and great service. When I went to the other locksmiths they just took a look at my key and refused to cut it. But at Rays they took the time to check out my key and even walked to my car in the pouring rain to check that it still worked in the door and my ignition. Superior service! The receptionist there was great and friendly as well! Would definitely recommend them to others and come back for service!

I had a duplicate key made for my front door. When I arrived home to check to see if the new key worked, the key got stuck in the lock. I thumbed through the yellow paged for a locksmith. I called two others who said they did not service my area. Then, I called Ray’s Lock and Key, and he asked very specific questions to diagnose the problem. He said he could be at my house in 15 minutes to fix it. I had to run out to an ATM to get cash to pay him, and by the time I returned home less than 15 minutes after our phone conversation, Ray was at my door and had the key removed. Excellent competent service such as this is to be commended. I will lock in Ray’s number just in case I should ever need his services again in the future. Now, let’s see how the people who made the faulty key handle this when I return with the bad key and locksmith bill tomorrow.

I called several places for quotes and got recommended to call Ray’s and i’m so glad i found them! They honestly had the best rate too.
We were trying to find someone that could extract half of the broken key from inside the ignition and make it whole again or get a new one made.
He was able to simply extract the key without taking apart the ignition and made a new set of keys. All in under 30 minutes!
Curt was really helpful and honest. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

I almost gave one stars because of the rude customer service I received, but to be fair, he was upset for a reason. My roadside assistance set up his company the night before to take my case. When a company takes a case, they are supposed to send their info the person letting them know the time they would arrive. When I didn’t receive a call the next day, I called my roadside assistance to let them know I didn’t know who was coming. They looked up my case and realized they also gave him the wrong info that my keys were locked in a trunk when actually the key was lost in the ocean (it was not a good day for my friends visiting the island borrowing our car). I called him directly and asked him if he knew my case. He wasn’t polite even in greeting me over the phone. I explained my situation. He said he wasn’t given the right information and was mad he was called out because he lost business taking my job instead of others and possibly wouldn’t be able to help me anyway. He was clear that it was my roadside assistance that was causing the problem, but he went on and on and on explaining that I wasn’t worth helping. He literally couldn’t stop complaining and I had to rush him off the phone explaining I needed to get help not hear him talk to me this way. I think he had a reason to be upset. But to talk to me the customer that way was absolutely rude and un-​caring given the circumstance. My friends had none of their belongings (like wallets and cellphones) and their vacation was pretty much ruined. Show some aloha! He was direct in saying the money wasn’t worth it to him. Well, perhaps just being a decent person helping others is worth it sometimes. I was able to find another amazing locksmith who was caring, compassionate, communicated much better about his arrival time, and put in the elbow grease. The code on the computer to make the key was wrong but the actual code was behind a lock in the car (which locksmiths know). So basically an extra half an hour of labor is what it would have taken and this business could have had our business.

From my first call through to completion of our job — I received regular updates, no hidden costs and phenomenal communication. I was very impressed with the promptness and professionalism that Curt provided from our initial call to his first visit and job assessment and final completion of the entire job met and exceeded our expectations.

Mary was very efficient. I called first, and she asked all of the important and not so important questions I might not have asked. They stock a ton of keys, even for my 1990 BMW convertible. Happy to say the «extra» set of keys I had made, are better than the set I had. Well worth the drive if you need that special key, but the service is a major plus… mahalo Mary, I’ll tell everyone to support independent and local business…

Called and provided all of our info (how many doors, type of locks, numbers from original keys to determine type of keys, etc.). Made an appointment for the following morning. Curt showed up on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and a fast worker. Our two doors were rekeyed in less than a half hour. Just know that company policy requires CASH ONLY transactions. Still, reasonable charges and a job well done. Thanks, Curt!

I called several times before they picked up the phone. The woman on the phone was very knowledgeable. Be sure to have all the info about the locks — type/​brand and how many. He came on time and was done in 40 minutes. He was also very helpful — gave us tips on how to lubricate the locks for better use/​less wear and tear. He provided us tips on how to fix the door so it wouldn’t stick.
They are cash only, so make sure you hit the ATM machine before they arrive.
