After Dr. Svetlana Fisher received her degrees from UCLA and Southern California College of

Optometry, she began practicing optometry in the Los Angeles area in 1992. With a strong emphasis on pathology and contact lens wear, Dr. Fisher is a very well regarded expert in the field. Both

her peers and her patients praise her consultations in these areas of optometric

care. In addition to the medical knowledge Dr. Fisher brings to her practice, she has also earned a solid reputation as a warm and caring practitioner-​a doctor not afraid of taking the time to speak with and understand the specific needs of her patients. When asked about her professional philosophy,

Great customer service, good doctors, friendly stuff. Nice selection of glasses too with many options. The office is cute and clean. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Came there for eye exam. Will be back for my glasses. Would highly recommended.

Dr. Fisher is attentive, caring and professional. She is great so she gets five stars but I would be cautious of her staff who Is give the stars. Thus, the average I’m giving Specs Appeal is four stars.
I don’t know if it’s the language barrier or something else but they don’t tell you things. For example, I had VSP insurance but they didn’t tell me that Dr. Fisher charges more than the VSP negotiated copay. That’s fine if she’s more expensive but I’d like to know before I’ve had the exam and not after. They also didn’t realize that I’d been there before and wanted me to fill out a new intake packet. Dr. Fisher is starting to digitize her records, even taking my picture with her iPad but her staff doesn’t seem to be doing their research to offer the best experience. They said my contacts would be in on Monday or Tuesday but I have yet to receive a call or text. It’s the following Sunday.

I’ve been going to Specs Appeal for many years.
Dr. Fisher is the best. and the front office staff is always friendly and welcoming, especially John. Conveniently located in my neighborhood, I walk from my apartment.
Dr. Fisher recommended that I use transition lenses in my glasses and I have not been disappointed. Now I need just one pair of glasses for driving, reading and computer work.

I came to Specs Appeal to get my eyes checked after realizing that I’ve been straining to focus on my computer at work. The staff was wonderful, and Dr. Fisher was so lovely. She took the time to go over everything with me and was very thorough with the appointment. She told me that I had astigmatism, which was a surprise considering my previous optometrist never bothered to tell me that. The girls at the desk were very patient with me as well, given that I was having one of those days where the brain just doesn’t seem to work and I had missed signatures on four separate pages. I spent about 45 minutes stressing over which frames I wanted, I know I was annoying, but they understood that choosing glasses is a commitment and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. So excited to get my new glasses and so excited that I’ve found a new Optometrist!

I ordered a new pair of Rx glasses from Specs Appeal on Wednesday 9⁄16 & paid the 50% deposit over the phone after I was told my order would be ready for pickup by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. It’s now Wednesday afternoon 9⁄23 & I just received an email response stating their office is closed today & someone will contact me tomorrow. I still have not been informed as to exactly when my glasses will be ready & I’m practically blind without them. This is incredibly frustrating. If I don’t receive some type of discount as compensation for the delay & lack of adequate communication on Spec Appeal’s part, I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere going forward.

Dr. Fisher is great, but can’t say the same for her staff. Over charged for my eye exam and told me that I had to use the contacts benefits from my insurance with them. Glad I called VSP to receive the correct information on my co-​pay and my vision coverage/​benefits. Will not use them again!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Fisher. She is very professional but at the same time makes you feel so at-​ease and comfortable. She answered all of my questions and didn’t make me feel bad about asking as some doctors do. I haven’t had such an easy experience with a doctor in such a long time and left really happy. They say let it go thou sometimes the truth will come out Dr Fisher is truly wonderful person and was totally helpful thou can’t say that bout Staff and John so the less said the better but I’m glad I’m done with this on going drama and attitude that’s been going on for a year sorry
