At Minimally Invasive Surgeons of North County, we perform the full spectrum of General Surgical procedures (including breast disease, colorectal, endocrine and foregut), are all trained in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

In addition, we offer a comprehensive bariatric and metabolic surgery program that deals with obesity and its related medical conditions. Our program includes medically directed non-​surgical weight loss, in-​house nutritional and mental health counseling, and exercise/​yoga classes. We also partner with community based fitness centers and wellness programs.

We are contracted with all the major insurance plans (including the Covered CA products) and all the HMO groups including MediCal HMO. We are in process with straight MediCal as well. We are on staff at Tri-​City, Palomar and Scripps Encinitas as well as at an outpatient ambulatory surgery center.

Dr. Fierer, Dr. Hanna, Dr. Grove J.

Business Owner

Dr. Fierer has been in private practice in NC San Diego since 1996. He specializes in the treatment of reflux disease, solid organ surgery and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers as well as the repair of abdominal hernias. He performs most of his surgery using minimally invasive techniques, either laparoscopic or on the DaVinci robotic system.

Dr Hanna joins this practice after a very successful career in the US Navy reaching the rank of Captain. She specializes is weight reduction surgery, endocrine surgery, gastrointestinal and solid organ surgery as well as the treatment of reflux disease and abdominal hernias.

Dr. Grove has been in practice in NC San Diego since 2008 specializing in the field of trauma and acute care surgery. He has expertise in minimally invasive surgery including use of the DaVinci robotic system, his interest lay in the minimally invasive treatment of foregut disease, abdominal hernias, solid organ surgery, gastrointestinal malignancy and breast disease.
