Welcome to All Smiles Children’s Dentistry. As a privately owned office, we are able to really spent quality time getting to know our patients and provide the best dental options for every family we see. We specialize in children and pride ourselves on putting our patient’s needs first and making sure that you truly understand every step along the way of your child’s dental treatment. It is our goal to have your child leave with a giant smile every single visit.

History

Established in 2009.

All Smiles Children’s Dentistry is a state of the art dental office designed specifically for kids!

As soon as you walk into our office your child will forget they were ever nervous about coming to the dentist! We have multiple iPads on the wall, toys for younger children to play with, as well as TV’s in every room so your child can enjoy their favorite cartoons while receiving quality dental care!

All of our instruments have specifically been designed and ordered to meet your child’s needs! We use digital x-ray’s to cut the radiation exposure and have high quality diagnostic images. We only offer mercury free restorative materials and stay up to date on the latest technology and material in the dental world to ensure that your child is receiving the best possible care.

After practicing Pediatric Dentisty for over 10 years in the North County San Diego area, Dr. Houri Fatourachi decided to open a state of the art facility designed for children’s very specific needs. As a mother herself, Dr. Fatourachi has a very caring attitude and is able to provide the personal, quality care that she would want her children to experience when receiving dental care.

She attended the University of Kansas City Missouri where she graduated in only 6 years with a Bachelors in Biology and a Doctor in Dental Surgery. She then continued her education at Boston University where she completed her Pediatric Residency.

Dr. Houri Fatourachi is a board certified Diplomat with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

My daughter was 2 yrs old when cavities were found in her teeth. Over the last 2 years I’ve taken her to many different pediatric dentists and all of them wanted to use general anesthesia to do work on her teeth. I delayed because I wasn’t comfortable going that route. I finally found Dr. Houri who prefers to avoid GA when possible. She was willing to try nitrous and local anesthesia instead. It wasn’t easy as my daughter is very sensitive and reactive to anything out of her control. But we made it through 2 procedures (baby root canal/​crown), and my daughter says she’s very happy with her new teeth and would like to continue going back for cleanings. Given my daughter’s temperament, I’d say Dr. Houri and her assistant Chloe are miracle workers. She still has some small cavities but Dr. H says we can work on remineralizing them rather than drilling and filling. She always answered my questions, explained things clearly, and never seemed in a hurry. She was extremely patient when we went in for the second procedure and my daughter refused to cooperate from the start. She suggested we try again another day, didn’t charge anything even though we took up at least half an hour of her time. Dr. Houri’s calm, confident demeanor helped me feel confident in what she was doing. She is also very good with calming children down. She has little ones herself and knows all the latest characters and cartoons to talk about. The other big plus is that she was completely comfortable having me in the room, sitting right there with my daughter during the whole procedure. I played music for my daughter on my iphone and they said it was distracting to them at all. Can’t say enough good things about our experience. She’s far away from us but worth the drive… Oh, and before I finished this review and posted it, Dr. H surprised me with an after hours phone call to check and see how my daughter was doing after today’s visit. Wow!

I’ve been bringing my daughter with Dr. Fatourachi since 2011. What I love the most is that she will consult with you before she starts a treatment. She will educate you on the pros and cons. Staff is kid friendly. Courtney is greatly missed :)

Dr Houri is such a great dentist! I was worried that because my kids are on medi-​cal it would be hard to find a good dentist that accepts our insurance, (especially since i worked in the dental field years ago and am kinda picky) but this office is so amazing! The standard of care is fantastic. The staff are kind and happy, not stuffy and condescending like some offices. Also I have never met a dentist who is so approachable!
My daughter is too old to have nitrous covered by insurance, so she tried without it. Apparently the decay was so deep and procedure so uncomfortable that the doctor asked her if she wanted nitrous. My daughter said «ya, but I don’t know if my mom can pay for it». Dr. Houri gave her the nitrous to make her more comfortable and didnt make us pay for it! :”) What a kind gesture! I’m a widow and single mother and there are some things in life my kids just have to do without. How comforting that there are people out there dedicated to making sure quality healthcare is not one of those things.

This place used to be my place to go to, but NOT ANYMORE. Dr. Flouri Fatourachi and her assistant were assisting my daughter in filing a cavity that had fallen out and it was really small in the room I had to go out in the lobby because there was no room. I waited out in the lobby just to find out they had treated her without numbing her and she told them it hurt and they kept on going. Tears running down my poor babies face, I knew that of course the one time I leave the room this happens. I don’t know what kinda office there running but it was the last time I am taking my daughter there. The doctor had her young daughter up in the front desk with the receptionist that was helping her with homework and the receptionist didn’t provide the customer service she needed to. I later called and complained and asked them why they didn’t numb her when she clearly told them it was hurting and they denied it. Lyers. I will report them and NEVER RETURN HERE AGAIN!!!

Dr. Houri and the staff at All Smiles are the best around, we have brought our kids to them for a few years now and our experience has been top notch every time! All Smiles has a very professional and kid-​friendly office, and since my kids have been going to Dr. Houri, they are never nervous about going to their dentist. We switched to Dr Houri because of her community service. I really enjoy this office and do recommend my friends to bring their children here.
I never have to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room and the kids love the stickers. I had an insurance claim come back once and Courtney had it figured out and taken care of with my insurance by the time I had called the office to ask about it.
I really like that Dr Houri remembers all the details my kids share with her and asks about what is going on with them each time they come in.

We love Dr. Fatarouchi and her staff! All 3 of my kids go to her and she is very patient and really great about explaining things to them and helping them feel at ease. I had taken my kids to a regular dentist prior and they were hating going back to the dentist. Luckily, we found Dr. Fatarouchi who helped to make the dentist trip a more positive experience. We have been going to her for about 3 years now and are so glad we found her!

What an amazing pediatric dentist. I’ve been coming here for about two years now. We never have to wait, how great is it to have someone in the medical profession respect your time! Everyone is so sweet and cute, caring and thorough with the kids. The kids love the sticker overload after their visit. Great selection of cool post visit incentives for the kids. The atmosphere is clean, bright and friendly and best of all as a cash pay customer I really appreciate the pricing. I highly recommend to all. :)

My kids went to see her 4 times, and progressively got scared of going to the dentist. Up to the point when the last time we were there, my son was hyperventilating he was so stressed, which had never happened at other dental offices. The kids begged to be taken to a different dentist, so I decided to change them to a different one with better skills for calming them down that do not require the usage of «gas».
I prefer someone who can deal with children and soothe them by speaking to them and with other techniques, not with drugs.
When I called and asked them to transfer the medical records including the xrays to the new dentist; they told me they would not send a copy of the xrays because they belonged to them. I was outraged, because this dental practice had already charged me for all the xrays! and it was not cheap! Also, the receptionist Courtney started yelling and hang up the phone on me. The she dialed a few minutes later and pretended she got disconnected!!!
So go elsewhere for the dental care of your kids!
