Larry’s BMW Repair Service

I’ve been going to Larry’s for over a year now. I have no complaints, only positive experience.
I’ve had minor and major services including oil changes, spark park replaced, gasket replaced, getting new bulbs installed, getting my turbos looked at and installed fresh lines, alternator replaced, bushings replaced, wheel rear wheel bearing replacement, aftermarket parts installed… you name it I’ve probably had it done.
BMW’s are not cheap to own, especially if you want high quality parts and service. Luckily, if find a good shop like Larry’s you won’t be charged an arm and leg for the service. There was once instance I towed my car out of BMW Esco and brought it to Larry’s shop. I was getting my car tuned with Dinan Stage 2 package and they told me car died… Expecting to get a fully tuned car, I got a car that couldn’t start. I was pissed, my car was running perfectly fine and the dealership gave me horrible Customer service and was going to charge me full price for parts and labor. Larry charged me half the price the dealership quoted me.
Larry will treat you like like family. In my experience, Larry has responded quickly to my texts, keeps me updated on the status of my vehicle, helped me get a rental seamlessly, and has always been honest about what repairs/​maintenance I should do vs what I can hold off on. Unlike most shops that up sell you on parts/​service you don’t need to do, I can trust Larry’s recommendations and have peace in mind my car is in good hands. I feel safe driving my car and never had issues on the road thanks to Larry.
Mike and Cody are professional, knowledgeable, and down to earth. They’ve helped me picked out aftermarket parts and spent a lot of time working on my car trying to fix every little thing for me. I cannot thank them enough for the quality of work they put into my car.
I recently had the engine intake valve cleaned with Walnut Shell Blasting. I asked Cody take before and after pictures to see how bad it looked… you couldn’t even see the valves before the cleaning was done. All you can see is black gunk. After the cleaning, you could actually see valves and the car runs a million times better! You can basically think about this service as getting a lung transplant for your car. It’s as if my car has been smoking for ~10 years every day… Tar has built around the inner walls of the valves and made it hard for my vehicle to breath. Now, it’s good as new. If you have not done this service before and your car has over 75k miles, I highly recommend it. You’ll be surprised how your car will feel.
Bottom line, if you want hassle free experience, no stress, and a couple laughs while you’re at the the shop, then this is the shop you want to take your car to.
Again, just a huge thanks to Larry, Mike, and Cody. You are all fantastic to work with and I look forward to every visit to get my car to the next level.

Just an update. My 528i just turned 301,500. Thank you Larry for keeping me and my car on the road!

Larry has been helping me with my BMW’s for years, I keep coming back. He’s as legit as it gets, trustworthy, and has love for the BMW name and cars. He takes pride in his service, and is quick with repairs, knows all the ins and outs. Between him and his sons, they are able to quickly diagnose and repair, with complete satisfaction of whatever needed to be done. Larry’s BMW will not tell you to fix things that you don’t need, or «suggest» you replace items for no reason like some of the other shops. He is always fair on price, which helps the wallet. My commute and family’s safety rely on Larry and his sons, and I have become accustom to leave it all in their hands, always worry free. I highly recommend Larry and his sons to work on your BMW, they will keep it in tip top shape.

These guys knew I was on a budget and went above and beyond to make me happy. I saw them online, took a chance, and really glad I did. Very polite, respectful, and HONEST!!!

I have been looking for a trusted advisor for my E46 since I’ve owned it. My search has ended. Larry and his crew helped me out of a very bad situation today with out a flinch.
Look, if you want your money going to shiny floors and hot girls at the counter, you might look elsewhere. If you want to partner with a shop that is going to keep your car in top notch shape, just take the word from myself and many others (which is how I found the shop) and stop asking and just go by.

The only thing that you need to know about this shop is that you can trust them. They treat you like a person and not just another transaction. They went out of their way to help me when I was stranded and got me back on the road quickly. They beat the stealership costs buy hundreds of dollars and didn’t leave my car sitting around for days. Respectful, honest, and fair. You need to bring your car, your wife’s car, your dog’s car, and anyone else’s cars to this clean and well run shop. You won’t regret it.

I went to Larry looking to get a transmission fluid change having no real idea of what I was involved in. I texted him (he is one of the few repair places that does this) asking for a quote and he just told me to bring the car in to do it for free! I arrived to be greeted by both Larry and his friendly staff. He took my car in and inspected the entire thing for free right away! It turned out I had a handful of problems including a blown front strut. Rather than just telling me what was going on, he took me under the car and showed me what was problematic. He then took me into his office to discuss how much this all would cost. He gave me a very good quote and it ended up costing me way less than I would have payed anywhere else. He then went on to educate me about the problems so I would have a better understanding. Larry is great. I brought the car in a week later and Larry was very flexible and accommodated my frequent schedule changes. A day later I got my car back and you could tell he took good care of it. Great service, great work! I will be coming to Larry for ALL of my future repairs and am recommending my family does as well. We all have BMW’s and I know Larry will take good care of them! A++

I have a BMW m3 and I needed an oil change. Finding a trustworthy shop that will cater to your $ 55 000 vehicle is quite a cumbersome chore to choose. I found Larry through Unilocal and couldn’t be any happier. Called around other shops which costed upwards of $ 300 for an oil change, Larry not only had the most reasonable price but I gave him a call during off hours and he decided to hold door to the shop open until I got there since I wanted to choose him to do my oil change for the transaction. Larry even pick up my vehicle himself at my job, do the oil change and bring it back! I’ve met met truly great customer service, great attitude, quick, clean job and I will definitely be back for further maintenance!

Larry and his sons took great care of my car and I. I highly recommend them, they went the extra mile to make sure that my car was running correctly. The have great integrity. I won’t hesitate in bringing my car back to them next time.

If you own a BMW and need repair outside the dealership… this is your place. Larry is friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Emphasis on trustworthy… you never know what your going to get, but thanks to the positive Unilocal,all went well and up to expectations. Larry sets a perfect example for his sons that also work in the shop by providing excellent work in a timely manner and for a good price at that! Larry and his sons give the best service I could have imagined. After getting a ridiculously high quote from the BMW dealership, Larry and his sons were able to fix my car for less than the price of only 2 hours of labor at Mossy BMW. I am so thankful to have Larry work on my BMW. I highly recommend Larry to anyone and everyone looking to have anything done to their BMW.

This is an update to my original review.
Since my taking my X5 in, I now have switched cars to a 545i. Recently I had experienced some Major issues with my car. Instead of taking it someplace local, I made sure to have it towed to Larry’s in Vista. The whole experience went amazingly smooth. He arranged for me to be picked up by Enterprise so that I would not be without a car for the few days that my car would be worked on. As well as the tow. He has great relationships with outside vendors. He is extremely reasonable in terms of pricing and knows his stuff. Thank you for a wonderful job. My car is purring like a kitten!:)

Larry’s BMW Paradise is a great repair shop! Had to take my wife’s car in as the check engine light came on and the car was shaking while idle or drive. I had read the reviews on Unilocal and was convinced this would be the best available place to take our car.
First off, Larry came to my home to run a diagnostic test for free! He showed up in the evening, on time with a BMW & wearing all BMW clothing! He explained to me what the results were and what would need to be repaired in a few minutes! Scheduled a tow for the next day and let me know that I would hear from him soon. I was able to sleep that night knowing that the car was still worth keeping and didn’t need to buy my wife a new car!
The following morning I received a call from Larry asking me to come in so I could do a walk through under our car.
I couldn’t help but notice a line of BMWs on their lot… Which is a testament of others trust in Larry and his staff with their cars.
He showed me the parts that needed replacement and asked if I planned on keeping the car for a year, more or less. He checked our tires, brakes and engine. He pointed out every nook and cranny letting me know how much longer I could go before having to get things which was great! I could plan ahead and not be knee deep in repair costs.
Pretty much needed to have the spark plugs and coils replaced as well as a head cover. Since oil was getting on them which caused the issue to begin with.
The repair was completed within a day and a half and I could not be happier. Larry even said I should come in for a free follow up within a week to ensure the car was running well.
If you’re in need of a brake job or even an oil change, bring it to Larry and his team. They’re professional, courteous and reasonably priced!
Thanks Larry’s BMW Paradise for keeping my wife’s car running while helping me save some money, making the acronym untrue! BMW=breaking my wallet!

I’ve owned various BMW’s over the past 12 years. My most recent BMW is a 750Li.
I was fortunate enough to meet Larry and his amazing team about 10 years ago.
I’ve never known a more honest and knowledgeable mechanic. He not only is very personable but also very communicative with superior customer service. Larry takes his time explaining the issue with the vehicle and puts together a plan for repairs. His prices are reasonable and fair.
Larry and his staff is our trusted mechanic of choice for my family and I. He will remain our trusted mechanic for years to come.
I wouldn’t let anyone else place their hands on our family vehicles!
For a repair, inspection or consultation… Larry and his team of mechanics is the right choice.

After visiting several other mechanic shops in the area and getting estimate I found Larry’s BMW Paradise to be the most reasonably priced and certainly the highest quality of work. I really appreciate all the work they have done on my car and will be using them from now on when I come across any issues.

I just have to repeat what everyone else has said on here. Larry makes you feel like a friend and is very, very fair on price. This is the exact kind of hometown mechanic you want, especially if you have a BMW that is getting up in years.
My 2005 325i just got a lot longer lifespan now that I have Dr. Larry to take care of it

I read reviews for here and took my BMW 323i to get a few things checked out. Since I was selling it, he told me exactly what I should and shouldn’t fix vise telling me to fix everything so he could profit. I’m so glad I went here and I highly recommend everyone else go here if you own a BMW. He’s very trust worthy and makes you feel like you’ve known him for years. 5 Stars!

SAVE MONEY: Had a brake service and oil change here and saved a ton of money from what the BMW dealership quoted me.
FRIENDLY: Larry is one of the friendliest mechanics I have ever met. He is knowledgeable and a fair guy. I mentioned that I wanted just the important things handled on my car. He not only obliged, but made me feel comfortable with my choice.
KNOWLEDGEABLE: These guys know their BMW stuff! I had my car checked and received a list of items that were wrong with my car and we were able to decide what items where critical and what items I WILL COME BACK to take care of in the coming months!
JUST GO THERE, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

I can’t believe I haven’t posted a review yet for Larry… He is the mechanic we all hope to find, especially if you’re a lady! He’s fair, honest, and he and his guys always do the job right. He will give you a fair price, and the service is excellent.
I’ve been in a few times over the past year and I’ve always had a wonderful experience– if you have a BMW, don’t even consider the dealer, bring it to Larry.
