My favorite Mexican restaurant. The service is always great too. So worth it the price. It does’t look like much from the outside but the inside is quite spacious and clean. The food is delicious and they serve you free chips and salsa if you eat inside. My far, my favorite place to eat.

Needless to say, Vista has more than it’s fair share of Mexican restaurants, including plenty on my way home or close to us. I’ve found this place is a little better quality food than some of the others, and while their preparation is rapid, it feels more relaxed and slow-paced. There’s seldom a crowd in here, even on a Friday night, unfortunately. But the guacamole is good, the beef and carnitas are above average. We haven’t tried their seafood or specials; I usually just get takeout. One extra star because Negro Modelo on draft that I can drink while I wait.

The food here is outstanding. This hole in the wall has the nicest employees and the food is SO good. I’ve been coming here since I was little. Over 20 years, and the food is still consistently great.

Amazing food! Great place for dinner or to bring the entire family! Plus the modelo negra and flan topped if off! Love coming here with my love!

Had the carnitas platter ceviche. Large portions and they were both delicious and authentic. I couldn’t even finish it. I would come back for more.

We were looking for a great authentic Mexican restaurant and we found it! The enchiladas suisas were amazing. The service is equally amazing, too! Will definitely come again.

Ok. I would rate their food as a 5… so I feel a little bad about a 1. That said, I have always ordered a beer when eating here and thought I would try a Margarita. I got the their basic Margarita. It was the WORST drink I have ever had … ever… and that’s coming from a guy who has done a TON of travel with drinks in all kinds of places. In addtion, I’ve had MD-20−20, and my share of ‘Old E’, but for these Margaritas, I could not even handle it! It was sugary, with zero booze at all. It was atrocious. I felt like I was drinking after shave lotion. I think the waitress who made the drink was completely clueless mixing drinks. My friend who went claimed the Margaritas brought on a ‘sugar headache’. Great food guys. but for God’s sake learn how to make a basic margarita. It was like Mexican food plus aliens making the drinks. Its Vista, not Mars for crying out loud. Cheers! PS: If nothing else, how about your basic Cuervo margarita mix and Cuervo and some ice? It ain’t hard!

Walked in and ordered a half dozen street tacos, cheese enchilada and a chili relleno to go. The street tacos were pretty good, topped with a small amount of guacamole, onions and cilantro. The meat could have been a touch less cooked, but where the improvement could really be made were the tortillas. They seemed like Northgate tortillas that could have been a little fresher. The highlight of the purchase for me was the chili relleno. Cheesy goodness with the chili itself sweated perfectly. The sauce was different than the usual so that added to the flavor. The cheese enchilada was above average, with sour cream but a little too much sauce on it. Finally, they have an interesting butter tasting hot sauce. Not sure if it was unique or a mistake. The place is mostly a sit down type restaurant, with an actual bar. It is much bigger than it appears from the parking lot. It might have seen better days in the past, I’m not sure. Beer and wine only Anyway, «OK» enough for me to give them another try. Service was friendly and english is spoken.

My husband and I come here for breakfast. He loves the Menudo. The breakfast choices are quite good and we enjoy the waitresses. We went for dinner with friends and everyone’s dinner was great. We had the Chile Rellenos, enchiladas, and carnitas. It seems to get busy later in the evenings. I also enjoy the salsa bar . La desayuno y La cena muy bien … muy rica

This place gets an unfair bad rap. Today I got a torta ahogada and it was DELISH! It didnt quite transport me to Guadalajara, mostly because the bread that is used is too soft, but it was super tasty. The few other times that I’ve been here i’ve really liked it. The Mex food here tastes homemade. The place is huge. And every time I walk in, there is maybe one or two other people there, so makes me wonder how it stays open! It’s a block away from my office, I think I will start coming here more often. I saw enchiladas poblanas on the menu and that definitely sparked my interest!

Just found out about this place about a month ago, i tried the Mojarra frita and i loved it! Also the chilaquiles. Its a nice little restaurant, kind of hard to find since its pretty hidden, its like in a corner surrounded by this other stores in a little plaza. Anyways i have tried other food of theirs and some doesnt really have flavor, not the best restaurant ive been too but also not the worst. Another thing, if you are in a hurry i dont suggest you to go eat here, they take a while to make the food, by the time you get your food your already full of the chips and salsa they give you while you wait. The prices are fair, even thought some things are over priced. Staff is really nice thought amd overall is a great little place to chill with family. **They have a pretty loud music player so if you dont like eating and hearing different types of music(specially mexican music) this is not the place for you.

By far the worst mexican food ever. Me and my wife ordered Carnae asada fries and half way though there was a cacaroach. I will never return here…

The service was great. Very friendly and personable. The food was good. Not the best Mexican I’ve ever had but still good. I had the Carnitas Plate and the meat was very tender. The people I was with had the Monterey Chicken and did not find it very good. I would give 3 stars really for the service rather than the food.

Great Mexican Food !! To bad they don’t have a better location«(Because they are hidden in a corner of a little shopping center. The people are nice and really good food !!
