Captain’s Port

They claim to have authentic new england style lobster rolls and clam chowder. haha. I spend much of my life in Maine, Boston, and surrounding areas. Thats some BS if you ask me. Lobster rolls on the north east have real lobster meat, which is chunky, not put in the blender and mixed with who knows what. I mean you can see claws sticking out of the buns. Besides, over there, there are buns made specifically for lobster rolls. Here, (captains port) they blend or chop the lobster down (or whatever it is) btw I didn’t taste lobster at all. It could have been canned tuna and tasted the same.
Now their chips and salsa were good. I love the red and green salsa they have. I would go there again just for this. Also they have daily specials and I’m sure they are great, such as fish taco’s, etc. My negative review is only because I’m from the north east, and if someone advertising authentic new england style lobster rolls, you bet my ass will be there. Absolutely nothing authentic about it.
Anyway, I’m sure their food other than new england style is good. However, if your from maine, mass, etc, stay tfa bc you won’t find what your looking for in these parts, ha!

Stumbled across this place by accident. Banner reads «new owners». I was there about 2pm one afternoon and the two owners and the bartender were the only other people there. So, obviously I got quick service. The food was average mexican fare. Being the only customer I was a little leary about how long the food had been sitting in the kitchen, but I didn’t get the squirts or anything :-) Not great, not bad. Prices were reasonable. I’d go back.

I have been here twice now, the first time they had just opened so I returned a few weeks later hoping that I would get better food, I was wrong. The food was undercooked both times. The chips they gave to munch on while I was waiting for my meal seemed to be cooked in old oil. The place was pretty empty both times. The salsa was just okay. Not a place I would reccommed at all.
