BMW of Vista

Just bought a BMW 320i at BMW of Vista. I saw the car listed on TrueCar and Mike Lewis and David Lopez, Internet Managers handled the sale. We agreed on a price over the phone and I filled out the online finance application and made an appointment to pickup the car. Everything that we agreed to was exactly what the contract indicated. They had the car being detailed while I was in finance signing the papers. It was a hassle free sales experience. Mike and David were extremely professional and helpful. Prior to deciding to purchase the car I test drove it twice on different days. No problem and no hassle. David Lopez called me up after the sale and asked how I liked the car. I told him I love it and that he and Mike Lewis provided me with the best car buying experience. Thank you Mike and David!

I waited over four hours to have two tires replaced and an alignment. I will never come back here again.

Great experience in the service department! Nikki helped us and was so nice. Have been going here for years and service department is top notch. Best BMW service I have dealt with in the county.

I have just leased a 2016 BMW from Mossy BMW in Vista. I have owned 14 BMWs and bought or leased another 20 cars in the past. I dealt with Brian Allendorf, Salesman. In the last 45 years I have never had such good service, advocacy for me as a customer, with transparency and honesty. I returned another leased BMW from Mossy in Vista. Their service department is excellent as well. I was not pleased with the experience I had in dealing with the large corporate BMW dealer’s in San Diego. The cars speak for themselves. The service you get makes all the difference in the world. Bravo Brian.

Embarrassingly dishonest
I had negotiated the price and terms on a particular model and color thru texting, phone calls and E-​mail prior to visiting the dealer. I was assured the car was there, multiple times. My wife and I drove to the dealership, for what we expected to be a quick, seamless transaction. This was to be a birthday present for my wife. The drive was over an hour round trip from my home. Well… when we got there, the car was not there, and never had been there. Not funny, not amusing. More important to the public, absolutely no shame or apologies from the dealership. Just blatant lies in an attempt to up-​sell: «Well, we do have other cars» Incredibly dishonest and rude. Stay away.

I stopped in to see a car my Mom was considering. As I’m pulling up I happen to see a new M3 right off the delivery truck. Back to the car my Mom wants. Well for one the car they had been quoting her had a really bad hit to the rear wheel. The damage also made question the alignment. After quickly looking both cars over I let the salesman Francisco know about the damage and also left my information to be contacted if the M3 I saw was available. The car was later put in the showroom and was available for sale but I was never contacted. Well days go by no call not even a response. Ok fine these guys don’t care about doing business with me. No worries. The story continues as my Mom continues to search for a car at BOV. Lead into today when she continued to try and find a specific build that meets her needs. Well after the run around and the double sales person hard sale. A very tacky approach in a high end sales environment by the way. She was consulting with me and seeking feedback as I was unable to be there with her. Francisco and or the Sales Manager Scott Clement ended up being disrespectful in handling the situation and I’m glad my Mom simply kept her composure stood up and told them the way they were speaking to her was unwarranted and inconsiderate. Mr. Mossy your family should be ashamed of the very business conducted as the people you employ are beyond a disappointment. I guess I’ll buy my 80k M3 and Mom’s 57k ⁵⁄₄ Series elsewhere. Thanks for ruining my Mom’s day off and for waisting both of our time & efforts to secure two new cars.

I wish I bought my car at ANY other dealership! Marcella and the sales staff at Mossy are absolutely the most horrible people I’ve met. First off, if you go in for a sit down or test drive, NEVER give them your car keys to «check the mileage.» You won’t get your keys back. That being said… After I signed all of my paperwork, I discovered there was no Bluetooth in the car I had just purchased. Even tho it was displayed on the place card in the car. The sales manager at that time said he would make it right and have it installed. He even wrote up a work order. When I called later to check the status of getting it installed, I discovered he had left the company. Mossy managers then failed to honor his promise saying that the temporary blue tooth clip on speaker fulfilled his work order! Their online sales manager Cole said in a phone call, it’ll come down to he said /​she said. And there was nothing I could do about it! It gets worse! I discover several months later (today) that I hadn’t received a second key for the certified pre owned BMW that I had purchased. I went in to speak with Marcella and she said, sorry I guess it doesn’t come with the car!!! POOR customer service! Absolutely, hands down, the worst! From sales up to management. I really want to trade by car in for an Audi… So disappointed with the serve from Mossy. Go anywhere else but Mossy! Trust me.

So unfortunately, our brand new BMW M235i got scuffed up a bit by my husbands coworker in his work parking lot. Such a tragedy, I know I know. But let me tell you…
We took the car to BMW of Vista and Jeff Wisdom helped us out. He stayed in constant contact with my husband… texting, phone calls, pictures… he was incredible. When we received the car back (to me) it looked brand new! But my husband is extremely meticulous… he found multiple paint scuffs (mind you, its apparently a very hard color to paint on a vehicle) and the passenger side door wouldn’t open.
So he gets ahold of Jeff and says hey man, what the heck?! And Jeff came out to his work to see the damage. He brought his techs who worked on the vehicle as well, so they could all see. Jeff made NO excuses and simply wouldn’t stand for how the car was given back to us. He left my husband with a rental and took the car back to fix, on their dime. He found a couple other things wrong too, and was extremely up front about it. Didn’t try to deny or hide anything.
Needless to say, when we got the car back it was perfect. There was one part they had to special order from Germany so once that came, Jeff went a second time to my husbands work, dropped off a rental car and took our BMW to replace the part. Had the car back within a couple of hours! Jeff’s tech who worked on the car was Joe Salas. Mad props to him…
The entire experience was wonderful and Jeff and his team can 110% be trusted. He knows what he’s doing and he won’t settle for less than perfect! And when it comes to our csr, my husband is a hard ass on it being perfect. Jeff handled it with grace and sincerity. Thanks guys! Utmost respect, we loved our experience! :-)

We purchased a new BMW with trade-​in auto two weeks ago. We are to receive $ 5000 returned to us after financing the vehicle through them. A week ago we were called informing us our license plates had come in and would be mailed. Well no check and no plates. I called Friday (yesterday) morning and was told I would get a call back later that day with answers. No call back. We called Saturday and demanded we speak to a manager. He (Eric) told us he would get right on it and get back to us that day. NO PHONE CALL BACK. Once they had our money customer service is non existence.
The top manager Jason got in touch with us and now the problems have been resolved. We got the license plates and the check is on the way.
Well a week later and a month after we purchased the car, still no check! We sent an email to Jason an got no reply.

Wish I lived closer to another BMW dealership but unfortunately this one is the closest and Encinitas is out of the way. Also unfortunately I’ve had the same service advisor and what a night mare this guy is. My previous visit he got into an arguing match with me over what he claims he said and didn’t say. This last visit guess what it was you guessed it another arguing match this time was about my service contract and when it expired also about when my car would be ready. He told me by 900 and since it was only a simple oil change well 1100am he calls me I’m like dude I’m already on my way to work but he is that matter of factly kinda of guy where he’s right and the customer is wrong not sure how he still works there he’s managed to piss me off both visits I think I’m just gonna go out of my way and make it up to Encinitas or Escondido so unprofessional this guy. I’m out…

We leased an X5 e drive hybrid and we are very dissatisfied with the promised and expected gas mileage… the range is 20 miles on a full electric charge and does not come close to the expected 34 miles per gallon we had been getting with our X3 diesel. We have presented our dissatisfaction with the dealer Mossy and with BMW NA and received no consideration. We have been a 20 plus years BMW customer and it is very disappointing and discouraging when a company like BMW does not listen when a customer encounters an issue. Very disappointing and discouraging experience when the dealer mislead us into believing we would receive better gas mileage. I would not consider working with Mossy or leasing or buying another BMW in the future.

NOT the treatment that you would expect when you buy a BMW! If you must get a BMW, go elsewhere!
I leased a BMW i3 (the electric one) and I was told I would get free charging at charging stations for a year. I asked, «Does that include the blink network, because that is the one by me». I was told erroneously that it did. Lying salesman just wanted to make the sale.
I am writing this review on tax day because the other lie that I was told has my blood boiling! I asked the salesperson if I could still take the $ 7,500 tax deduction if I leased rather than bought the car and he assured me that I could. I have a witness! Lo-​and-​behold, I not only CAN’T take the tax deduction, BMW Financial gets to take it!
I should have done my homework beforehand and not believed everything that I heard, but it was BMW, not a shady used car lot.

Great customer service. You can make a service appointment online and they take you on time. I decided to wait in the dealership for my oil change. A mini vacation in their comfy waiting room watching the movie Cocktail and drinking a dark roast coffee.

Worked with me on a great deal on my 3 series trade-​in, and we negotiated a great finance package. No pressure, just enthusiasm! Nothing better than personable people and strong customer service.
If your in the market, check them out. Huge inventory as well.

If you get your BMW repaired here I recommend specifically asking for Sophion. He is the best mechanic there by far! I used to go to other dealerships, but because of his amazing skill & professionalism I strictly go here .

The review below on the service department being lazy and trying to «hard sell» the customers on easy but expensive work is spot on. I used to be in the car business and I know when someone is not being honest with me. BMW Vista (service adviser = BILL AMODEO) tried to charge me $ 3,253.00 for a repair that ended up costing me only $ 100 at an independent shop.
The cliff notes are that when I took my car in for a check engine light, the dealer simply ran the code and then seemed to say: «What can we justify charging?» Instead of taking time to diagnose the issue (which is why I thought I was paying $ 150 in the first place… for a REAL diagnosis), Bill Amodeo obviously was just trying to hit his service sales numbers and quoted me $ 3,253.00 for plugs/​coils/​injectors. That’s a lot of money for a very easy job and it turned out it wasn’t even the problem.
I ended up getting a second opinion from an independent shop. Turns out the coils/​plugs/​injectors weren’t even the issue. It was an O2 sensor and the diverter valves. A $ 330 repair that my aftermarket warranty covered costing me only $ 100 out of pocket (my deductible).
But it wasn’t just the quote that irritated me. Bill Amodeo and his manager Vince went out of their way to try to screw me. You see, when Bill first told me the quote I knew he was full of it because I already had an idea what was wrong. I told him that there was no way I would pay for that repair and I also didn’t want him to submit that quote to the aftermarket warranty company because they wouldn’t cover all new injectors/​plugs/​coils if only one was bad. It would be a waste of time and I was on good terms with my warranty company. I didn’t want to soak them for a big repair and have them less likely to cover me in the future. Bill PROMISED ME on the phone he would revise the repair and send it to the warranty company for authorization. He never called me back and simply submitted the full quote to my warranty company. Dishonest!
Bill called me two days later and told me the warranty denied the repair. This surprised me because I had never had a claim denied before. I then asked him what he submitted and HE STUTTERED AND DANCED AROUND THE QUESTION. I asked him again directly and he told me that he submitted exactly what I told him not to submit. He completely ignored my request.
Bill then tried to sell me on the repair. It’s ridiculous. A desperate attempt to bill a customer an outrageous amount for a repair that wouldn’t have even solved the problem.
After I picked up the car, the service manager VINCE called me and tried to spin the situation back on me! He accused me of being dishonest about the warranty claim. Me? Dishonest? You are the one who tried to bill a $ 3,200 repair to both me AND my warranty company when the real problem ended up only costing me $ 100. You tried to fleece me and my warranty company out of $ 3,200 and I’m dishonest?
I’m absolutely disgusted with BMW Vista. I will be writing to BMW North America about my experience and I hope they are disciplined.
Looking for service on your BMW? Take your car elsewhere. These guys are not to be trusted.

After going through multiple dealerships in the past, there is no better than BMW of Vista. Here you are treated with respect, regardless of who you are and more specifically, how old you are. The level of professionalism and service from this team is the absolute best I’ve experienced. The entire team at BMW of Vista is kind and willing to help.
My father and I purchased a 2016 BMW M235i last night, and could not be happier.
We spent weeks deciding which car we want, how we can manage a new car, and I have to say, one of the main reasons we purchased this car is the respect we were shown by Matthew Connolly. This gentlemen had searched the vehicles across North America trying to help us decide what vehicle we really want to be in. He kept in constant contact with us in order to guide us to an end goal. I can’t stress enough how much it means to me, being a college student who also works, the fact that Matt kept me updated, and even took my criteria for a vehicle by text! Matt literally worked around the clock (He even responded to a text at 11pm about different criteria for a vehicle) to help us get to our end goal.
We appreciate the level of professionalism that comes from this dealership, and we absolutely will keep coming back.

I custom ordered an X5 in August and 5 short weeks later I had my new vehicle. It’s everything I thought it would be and more.
Jeff Stein and his crew did a great job taking care of me, and I would not hesitate to recommend or use them again.
The Mossy family can be proud of the group of employees they have here and how they take care of their customers.

Have never been so poorly treated in my life. Drove from Laguna to buy one of their used cars. Went through all the sales pitch about honesty and integrity, got the financing approved shook hands on the deal and was congratulated on my new purchase. The deal agreed included them fixing a broken part of the car. As I waited for the paperwork to be ready I was told they no longer would honor the deal agreed. They made it sound like I was changing the deal. I guess the trust and integrity they talk about was all rubbish. Once you get lied too like that there is no way back and so I walked away.
What I took from this is that Mossy BMW are not to be trusted. A deal is not a deal in their world.
Plenty of other BMW dealers around suggest you go there
The salesman was called Francisco and the Sales Manager Dallas Berg.

4 days afterwards I get an e mail from Dallas Berg ‘Great news please contact me’
Against my better judgement I replied «what is your news» in the back my mind I thought they are going to honor the deal we shook hands on.
It’s been three days and no reply !!!
