Bryson’s Irish Pub

Boyfriend and I got in to Miami late and we’re looking for somewhere to pick up a quick dinner near the airport. We ended up here since when we called they said their kitchens don’t close til 2:45am! When we first got to the bar, we were a little surprised at how divey the place looked, but boy were we happy with the food we got! I got the angus burger and he got the patty melt– both were large portions and tasty with fresh ingredients. The service was also good and quick! And another plus, the bar is connected to a liquor store next door, just in case you want to pick something up to enjoy at your hotel! Overall decent food in a convenient spot by the airport that is open late!

This place is the bottom of the barrel. All the drinks are watered down and the portions are lacking. The staff is ok but the management serves underage kids and throws you out when you call them out on it.

Went there for the first time and I had the best time. The servers Barbara and Sara were on point. Even though I seemed very busy I got great service. Don’t know how they do it but they manage to serve a full bar and full tables and still manage to give great service. Will be there again soon.

I will never come to this place again I’ve had two bad experiences with the waitresses the first time I was charged on my cc for something I didn’t even eat I clearly told her what I would pay and she still messed up I got my money back 3 days later. last night my boyfriend paid the bill and a trashy red head said his tip was not good enough and gave it back to him that is the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever witnessed I didn’t fight her because I’m a classy lady but I was very upset and most of the workers there were drunk these people need bar rescue! I will never come to this trashy place again –star

Delightful neighborhood pub. Excellent food, commendable bar, attentive staff. Charming interior. Sometimes the jukebox is rather too loud. Some of the live entertainment is excellent (we have not experienced many of the live acts). We travel the country continually, and prefer local dining establishments wherever we are. Bryson’s is one we’ve bookmarked as a favorite, and we look forward to visiting it regularly. (One caveat: It was extremely unnerving once when, as we were checking out, a gent strolled through the pub with an enormous live snake draped around his neck. We did not tarry to see how the manager handled the matter. Pursuant to the comment below, however, we now feel confident it won’t happen again.)

I had a delicious meatloaf dinner at Bryson’s for $ 10 and change. Service was prompt and friendly. As it was my lunch break (working a late shift), I stuck with Diet Coke, and the bartender kept my glass filled.
The meatloaf, that night’s special, was hot, moist, and savory — a whole small meatloaf, fresh from the oven, not slices of something cooked long before. Vegetables on the side were a slightly crunchy sauteed mix of small broccoli florets and red and green bell pepper strips. On other visits, I had the patty melt and the grilled chicken caesar salad, and I’ve never had a bad meal there. Be aware that the kitchen doesn’t stay open all night — I think the bartender told me that kitchen stops serving fresh food at 2 a.m. and bar snacks an hour later.
Atmosphere is a little loud, depending on the customers. There’s a juke box, and some nights they have live music. Bryson’s has free wifi which usually works well. Here’s a nice touch: There are power outlets at every inside table and booth, and the outlets are generally above the table top and easy to reach. I’ve worked on my laptop and recharged my phone while waiting for dinner or enjoying a drink. The only improvement I could suggest is to keep some good coffee brewing for customers who are taking a break during the graveyard shift.

Being here feels like you’re in some strange twilight zone middle america where the dunning-​kruger effect is in full force.
As soon as we arrived a waitress made fun of my friends outfit; «oh lord where’d you get them shoes!» «what are you wearing! who dressed you!»
The nachos are disgusting. Don’t get the nachos, please just don’t get the nachos. They gave me what tasted like, tostitos salsa, i kid you not, I’m pretty sure it WAS tostitos salsa.
The burger was good.

Wings and burgers good and tasty. Nice beer selection. Casual laid back vibe. Like the décor and layout. Nice open area in the back. Staff is very attentive.

The food here was, a lack of a better word: okay. While visiting I was served a free draft of presidente beer. When the food came along, I was so very happy to had food, because a friend brought me there raving that they had good wings for a great price. I ordered their 2lb wings and poppers along with calamari. They were all edible, but certainly nothing spectacular! It’s bar food. The ambiance felt a bit gray, thus I assume that doesn’t help hide the food slight rubbery taste. The bartender was nice but food over all just was too impressed.
Per GM request Elaborating: the calamari, simply had no flavor. It tasted like fried unseasoned flour. It’s texture was on the rubbery side. I have come to find that even adding the lemons it just didn’t help. The wings were cooked, but I simply felt it was lacking flavor, a GRREAT marinade would do wonders. Salt doesn’t need to mask what can be considered palatable but I wasn’t impressed: it was meat, with an underwhelming sauce.

I went there for the 2 $ Draft Tuesday and loved how the outside patio looked. Nice lighting a little dark but just bright enough to have great conversation and look at some sports on the tv’s. Inside is a juke box connected to help set the mood for people who like that. As for the food, I had the wings and these particular wings blew me away. They tasted grilled and lightly fried, and I asked for a side of their wing sauce which was outstanding. Crispy on the outside yet moist and delicious in the inside great wings. The only thing that really got to me was when I went home and saw their website and saw they have Entrée’s. The menu I got only had appetizers, burgers and sandwhiches. I would have ordered an Entrée if I knew they had them, the menu seemed like a full Menu. If I had been offered an entrée I would have ordered one absolutely instead of 3 pounds of wings. Besides that you get lots of smiles and happy service.

This type of bar is a dying breed in Miami. I mean the local watering hole. Not a flan iguanas, or ale house, etc. just a good ol bar with a wooden u shaped bar as the center of the place. It’s old school and it fits like an old comfortable pair of jeans.
Hope it lasts. Part of the old bar joints of miami’s past. Rest in peace: sids piano bar, the stampede, bushwhacker lounge, abners, the lemon twist, and all the other great dive bars that have closed and cost this city the character it severely needs.

It’s a nice bar for locals where tourists are not welcome. Ordered chicken wings never came and I was told «I am not busy at all, I can talk all day» after talking for less than a minute.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Dark, dingy, old, traditional. I went for Thanksgiving and I feasted like a king on all the traditional yummies. And HEY they were great, made me feel like I was back home. The portions were ENORMOUS! GINORMOUS even. It was my first time over here but I shall return, I decree it.

Great place for a beer and the menu looks good too. Friendly locals gathering here, plenty of TV’s around to watch most any sporting event you can imagine. The outside bar features a full Bar and smoking. I will return! Thank you for the hospitality.

This is Hialeah /​Miami Springs version of Cheers! While I was there, my cougarly bartender /​waitress remembered the usual order of the patron seated next to me. As a first timer, I couldn’t expect that treatment yet, but their gigantic hamburger makes me think that I’ll be there soon.
I stumbled across this spot to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day this past Thursday, and was pretty happy. With plenty of parking in the back, and a decent amount of patio tables you can enjoy watching the planes take off from nearby MIA. You can also do what I did, and sit inside at the bar, surround yourself with TVs and enjoy your TV sports while munching on decent bar grub. For example, I started with four Potato skins served with cheese, a rich sour cream and about one or two whole strip of bacon across them (ie not bacon bits). Close it up — or try — with a huge Angus cheeseburger (still juicy at medium well!) with baked in swiss cheese, and fresh veggies. I of course asked for extra BBQ sauce. Since I was on the clock, I had promptly refilled coke. Oh, and did I mention my bartender was a cute cougar?

BUT some of the best wings that Miami-​Dade has to offer. Came here on a tip from some co-​workers who warned me about the hole-​in-​the-​wall nature of the establishment. I was prepared for that and it wasn’t even as small as I thought. The order was easy, the bartender was friendly and the wings (as cooked by someone named «Mama») were delicious! Not a very diverse crowd on a Thursday evening, but my stomach is happy, so I’m pleased.

WINGS. That’s what you need to come here for. They are fantastic. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I want some NOW! I also ordered onion rings which were pretty decent. Calamari was probably the worst calamari I have had in my existence. You just want to come here for the wings!
Service was really great. I’ll definitely be back for wings.

For those of you that don’t live here or for those of you that are newbies implanted into South Florida and never leave your trendy neighborhoods out east, allow me to briefly explain my area in this first paragraph. You have Miami Springs and Hialeah. Both were brought into the spotlight by the same Pioneers when this was nothing but land. Both were inducted as a city in the 1920s. Hialeah in 1925 and Miami Springs in 1926. One of the main things separating Hialeah and Miami Springs is the Miami River. The most obvious, one of us became Havana del North through the years and the other has not. We both have SO MUCH to offer over here and it is being overshadowed by the popular trendy neighborhoods closer to Biscayne Bay.
That being said, take it as you like, when I’m in the mood for non-​Cuban/​Hispanic Food it only takes me five minutes to cross the Miami River. Go through My Reviews and you will see the stark difference from when I dine there. South Florida is an unique Melting Pot. You should explore it and be proud that you live here. Very unique to anywhere I have lived or visited.
So, now we get to Bryson’s Irish Pub. Don’t start me lying, I had no idea this was here. After checking-​in online numerous times, I have had countless messages asking, «An Irish Pub in Miami Springs?» Sí asere, I had no idea either. See, I was partying with my Vampire friends at a local Miami Springs business and one of the Vampires told me about this business. Since they are open until 5:00 a.m., this was the logical place to head to at 3:00 a.m. for more Evil Liquids. This isn’t a «Vampire Place» but, it was open so we headed there anyways. Long story short, after being here a couple of times, reading their story on their website and reading other Unilocal Reviews, I had to come back here and eat.
What a joyous pleasant surprise. I had:
* Angus Burger with American Cheese — I hate pickles and ate it anyways. Everything was so fresh and perfect I found nothing to critique. To date, the best burger I’ve had.
* Side of Onion Rings — PERFECT. Nice and crispy in every bite.
* Side of Potato Salad — PERFECT. This is when I knew for certain everything was homemade.
* Side of Coleslaw — PERFECT. Just how I like it with lots of juice.
I went back today because I just needed to be certain. Everything here is homemade in their kitchen. This includes their burger patties that are hand pressed. Today I had:
* Chicken Wings — PERFECT. Meaty with a nice char on them for that barbecue taste. Buffalo sauce is homemade.
This is definitely an undiscovered gem. I will frequent this restaurant/​bar quite a bit from here on out. I had to go back today because just tasting the food, I knew, this had to be homemade. I cannot wait to go back for more food. Maybe tonight? Miami Springs or not, this quality American Food is not easily found. One must appreciate it and enjoy it when it is found.
Things to note and blah, blah, blahs:
* Very close to the main entrance of Miami International Airport. If you’re on a layover of a couple of hours, taking a cab should only take you a couple of minutes. Make sure your driver takes LeJeune Rd. North and then head west on NW 36^th St. They may want to take the highways which will take longer for more money. Trust me on this, Hialeah/​Miami Springs is my hood yo. During Rush Hour you may experience more traffic than usual.
* At midnight they switch to an after hours menu.
* Believe it or not, cheaper than if you went to Denny’s down the street. You can do this when your food is homemade.
* They have great Happy Hour Specials.
* They have Karaōke on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
* Beer selection is plentiful.
* Part of this business is a liquor store. From glancing from afar, very competitive prices.
* I haven’t been able to get an exact date but, if not the oldest bar/​liquor store in Miami Springs, it’s close. Plus 50 years is the answer I have been given thus far.
* Call a cab if you get too drunk. We Locals know, Miami Springs Police don’t play.
* Don’t ever say Miami Springs is better than Hialeah or vise versa. You will start an all out discussion. But, for the record, Hialeah was incorporated as a City first.
* You will notice many Patrons being spoken to by name. This Pub has a very loyal local following.
* This building is very old and on the inside it’s your typical Irish Pub. It has not been altered to satisfy the masses. This is typical of Miami Springs. Please? Don’t ever change it?
* Easy to miss if you’re not familiar with the area. Easy, Red Road is Curtis Parkway. It’s directly behind the gas station on the intersection of Red Road/​NW 36 st.
* Virginia Gardens is a small town nestled into Miami Springs. It’s ok, they like each other.
