Wilkins School of Dance

Thanks, Wilkins ladies, for being a constant source of family-​oriented dance education in our community. Miss Donna and Miss Jennifer, mother and daughter duo, treat every student as if they were a member of their family. Education at this school is consistent and healthy, and the end of the year show is a terrific, well produced event! They even have summer camps, which my niece has attended and loved!

This will be the forth year my daughter has danced at Wilkins. The owner is long time Virginia Beach resident Donna Wilkins who is still somewhat active with check in, but the business is ran by her daughters. They have two studios, VB (behind BJ’s) and Newport News. The pricing is in line with other studio’s and more reasonable than most in Norfolk. We have seen awesome progression in her dance and commend the great instructors. The teacher to student ratio is terrific and we have enjoyed a 3:1 with over the past few years. If you are looking for a place that is into competitions this is not your place. The company does one competition a year in the Summer at Kings Dominion Amusement Park. They also focus on one great show at the end of the season that is held at Sandler Center for the Performing Arts. They also have been long time participant’s in the Norfolk Christmas Parade. Your children will be treated like family and our family would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to get superior dance instruction in the Hampton Roads area.
