I love me some sandwiches and wraps!
Taste unlimited is winning for so many reasons: cute packaging, cute décor, so many things to look at and shop for in their retail section, and of course, great food!
Its a little on the pricey side, but the quality of the ingredients and portion sizes make up for it! Besides their great food, I LIVE for their apricot tea! The only downfall is that it’s unsweetened. I loveeee my tea sweet, so I always add like twenty raw sugar packets and it’s perfect :)
I also heard that this location does deliveries! I’ve got to try it whenever I’m out Northend! That is so convenient, especially when you are having a great time at the beach and don’t want to leave.

This has happened too many times with this Taste Unlimited location that I’ve finally had enough. What’s the point of getting a wrap? Even the structure of their sandwiches have been horrible lately. They have become so sloppy at putting sandwiches and wraps together that they literally just blow out when you open the wrapper. This photo is of the bbq chicken wrap and it completely fell apart when I opened the paper they wrap it in for Togo orders. I like taste, but I’m going to stop going here if they can’t train their employees to properly put a sandwich together. This is ridiculous.

I stopped coming here during the summer because the wait go so bad. A few times I waited upwards of 20 minutes for my sandwich, and then I finally asked for my money back. Honestly, if Jimmy Johns can have my sandwich ready before I even get my change then so should Taste. It’s all the same process of putting meat and toppings on bread. Don’t fool yourself into thinking it is ok to make customers wait more than 5 minutes.
It is nice that they finally have a rewards system, and nice that they updated it recently from being the worst reward system ever conceived to just the worst rewards system currently implemented anywhere. So I guess they get some credit there.
But the staff is somewhat clueless about the menu. If I order something other than one of the most common sandwiches I often have to point it out on the menu to the order taker. Oh, and they are clueless about the free toppings selections. I like to order basil as a topping. As in leaf basil, and they always either ask if I mean basil mayo, or they just give it to me on my sandwiches.

I cannot believe how much I enjoyed a simple sandwich from Taste, but I was honestly blown away! I ordered the Boardwalk Sandwich, which was honey smoked turkey, hardwood smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, slaw, on this amazing French bread. You could tell that every ingredient was fresh. Aside from the food, the place is immaculate and the service is quick and friendly. I’ll be going back soon to try some of their other sandwiches.

I like Taste for many reasons…
One is that they are clean and the menu choices vary enough to satisfy s carnivore and a vegan. Second, the food quality always seems good. My kids had the red pepper Gouda soup while I had a monstrous Caesar salad. Everything came with a large baguette. I was stuffed. My kids were still hungry though and they should have added something with the soup.
I heard no complaints among the meat eaters in the group. There were slices of a 7 layer dessert being shared that was thick and decadent for even a small slice. I think everyone likes the ice tea and I noticed many in the room drinking root beers and such. Good atmosphere, clean bathrooms, a a friendly staff.

Love this place. Awesome selection of fresh sandwiches and specials. Great soft drink, beer, and wine selection as well.

Nothing here is bad. And I’m not even joking. Their ingredients are delicious and wholesome. Their staff is amazing. Their in-​store selection of nibbles, drinks, and booze are amazing. We order lunch from here at least 2 – 3 times every time we are in VA Beach. I’m honestly jealous of the people who live here in VA Beach who can have lunch here everyday. This is by far the best sandwich place I’ve ever eaten at. Also, if you get the chance to order on a day they have their New England clam chowder (if that’s your thing) don’t skip it. The clams are the size of quarters and it is seriously the best clam chowder I’ve ever eaten.

I love this place and wish we had one close to home. The sandwiches are unique and delicious, freshly prepared served on soft bread. My favorites are the Tidewater (chicken salad w/​country ham and swiss) and the Northender (turkey w/​bacon, avocado, harvarti). Half-​sandwiches are around $ 7; full are $ 9. Last visit, I created my own salad and fell in love with the green goddess dressing — herbs and full of flavor. Treat yourself to their house iced tea.
I prefer the Hilltop/​Laskin Road location to this one (we actually ended up with a wrong sandwich and incorrect salad dressing at our last visit here).

Great food, great service everytime!!!

This is one of the best places to eat in Virginia Beach by far! Fresh and consistent. The soups are great and the sandwiches are excellent.

Great little sandwich place for a quick bite to eat. Lots a variety and not bad pricing. Awesome gelato too!

I could eat here every day. Excellent sandwiches and dressings. Original taste and spin to how they prepare the food.

Great sandwiches, however their recent decision to discontinue caraway rye bread has tarnished their «deli» status in most sandwich connoisseurs eyes I have crossed paths with as of late.

Great submarine sandwiches on homemade bread and very fresh ingredients. I recommend the Northernder, but they all looked good. They are reasonable priced, especially for the beach.
The also have a wide selection of gourmet sodas. I highly recommend the Sprecher brand.
Dessert was homemade Gelato. There are lots of flavors to choose from.
When in Virginia Beach you have got to go hear for lunch.

We got the Greek wrap and the Northender … The Northender is delicious all the food is fresh. We added a quartered pickle and then a large cookie and bag of chips for an additional $ 4.00. Their special dressing is delicious!

This place is the best! We went here twice in one weekend and both times were superb.
The coffee really is a must try.

This was the first and second times I had been to Taste. Both visits were within 24 hours of each other.
Both items I got were great! The first visit I got turkey, ham, provolone, cucumber and lettuce with the spicy house dressing. You could tell everything in the sandwich was super fresh. Every bite was super flavorful.
The second experience with Taste we got our food delivered to the beach! Apparently they do this from Memorial Day until Labor Day. I got the brisket with pimento cheese on ciabatta bread. The brisket was so tender and it was a quick delivery too!
Hopefully they will branch out more towards DC because this would be a hit up there!

Taste is 5 stars to me. We LOVE Taste! But, I can not give this location 5 stars because of a few things. My biggest complaint is the parking. There are only a few spots right by the door. Otherwise, you pay to park in a spot in the street! Taste is always busy, so this is a HUGE inconvenience! I also think they could upgrade the bathroom and keep it cleaner (like the Shore Dr location). Other than that, their food is awesome and I always get good service.

I had an excellent experience here! I was down at the Oceanfront with about 8 of my coworkers for a one day conference. For whatever reason this conference didn’t provide lunch so we decided to go with Taste. I love that I was able to fax in our order the day before. We called to confirm that they received it and everything was PERFECT when we came to pick it up!
Where the staff really stood out is when people were trying to add sides, drinks, sauces, exc when we went to pick up our order and eat. The staff was so patient with all of us hungry women. They got everything we wanted quickly and we had plenty of time to enjoy our food.
There was plenty of indoor and some patio seating which was good for our large group. It was a week day during the «off season» so I imagine it stays pretty busy during the summer. We didn’t have a hard time getting seats all together on this occasion though.
Our food was fantastic like every other Taste location. Delicious sandwiches, wraps, and salads. It isn’t the cheapest place, but you are definitely paying for quality! If you want to spend $ 4 for a meal go to McDonalds.

Upon first getting to Virginia Beach for a family vacation I immediately began my search for a good lunch spot. I came across Taste. I saw a few keywords that sold me — «artisan sandwiches» and «local craft beer on tap.» I make it my personal mission to imbibe on local brews when I hit a new area away from home, and Taste seemed to have the goods.
It’s safe to say I feel about the same for Taste as I do toward my beloved Sesame Burgers and Beer in the Holy City. Good, fresh, hand-​crafted food paired with killer craft beer. I had the Princess Anne sandwich with a Sweet Baby Jesus from Duclaw brewery. The sandwich was fantastic. Everything was super fresh, and it was bursting with flavor. My wife had their take on a Caprese Sub which was delicious also.
Not only does Taste have local beer on tap, but they also have bottle selections, so of course my wife and I loaded up on bottles to take back to our hotel room. They have a few Taste locations around Virginia. If I’m ever near one again I will not hesitate to stop.
