Sanctuary At False Cape

Sanctuary at False Cape is located on the Atlantic and borders a wildlife refuge and state park that extends south past the northern border of North Carolina.
There are at least 3 pools at the sanctuary, all with slightly different themes but remember that you’re just a few steps away from the salty ocean waves and white sandy beach.
Overall, it’s one of the more relaxing beach areas since it does border a state park. There is plenty of room on the beach without feeling crowded. Definitely 5 stars.

Great place for a nice relaxing family holiday. The whole rental agreement bit is a tad confusing and they charge you a fee to put it on a credit card. The pools had some problem but the last year the crew has stepped up their game.

Second year in a row staying here. Last year was our first stay in Sandbridge after many years in Virginia Beach. We didn’t want a house because there are only 5 of us but we also wanted a place on the beach. Sanctuary at False Cape gave us the best of both worlds. We stayed in the same condo because we liked it and we were able to use the storage area which helps since you don’t have to carry the chairs and boogie boards all the way to the room. The pools and cabana bar are nice when you want to be away from the beach. Grills are nice if you don’t want to eat out. Overall a great place and we won’t look anywhere else when we come to Sandbridge.

This is a luxurious and comfortable place to stay if you can afford it. My girlfriend and I stayed a full week during the first of September and it was approximately 1500.00. It was worth it to me to stay here plus it is about 30 minutes south of main Virginia Beach and the area was very upscale compared to main VB. After experiencing main Virginia Beach, which had a lot of rough looking thugs hanging out at the boardwalk and it smelled like urine and alcohol, we were very glad we stayed at the Sanctuary Condos at False Cape. Parking lot is under the condo’s so your vehicles are protected from the heat and weather. You can also use free private locking storage rooms for beach equipment. The beach in front of the condo was not crowded the whole time we were there, which was very nice. Our view was fantastic, we could see the beach and the bay from our room.
I didn’t give 5 stars because the instructions for renting and paying were pretty confusing. I had to email the agent many times just to get everything squared away. You also have to pay another company 50.00 just to process the rental fee for the condo. It’s a lot of unnecessary headache for the rental process so they should think about addressing this for the future. Also another thing that was a frustration is they gave us a list of things we needed to bring. We found out after getting to the room that a lot of the stuff they told us to bring was already available in the condo. We could’ve saved some packing room and effort on that.
Other than that, it was a great stay and I recommend it.
