A friend of mine and I were in Virginia temporarily for school and I wish we had found this place sooner. It’s a nice, quiet place and the waitress was super nice. We never had to wait for our drinks and the food was amazing! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone. Great place!

Was a fan of Pembroke for over a year. My last experience was terrible. Pizza was 45 minutes late and to top it off the driver must’ve hit a sharp turn prior to delivery because my pizza had been destroyed. I will not be returning…

I tried this place after seeing the various good review and images that made the food seem pretty appetizing. I typically trust Unilocal reviews as they align with my tastes more often than not. In this case, I honestly feel like the overall score was way off. I ordered from this store and it was perhaps the most lazily prepared food I’ve ever eaten. Almost nothing had flavor. I had wings where the box contained a orange-ish(supposed to be hot sauce?)oil that barely covered the semi-undercooked meat. No flavor whatsoever. The wings were flavorless and there was barely any sauce covering them. Even the dipping ranch lacked flavor! On top of that, I had a cheesesteak. Now I’m from philly, but unless I’m eating at tidewater steaks and subs in Norfolk, I don’t expect much from around here(Great Neck Philadelphia cold cuts is pretty good too). As I said, I didn’t expect Tony Luke’s, but what I received was a travesty, I’ve had thin ribeye sliced steak sandwiches back home, but this was pretty much cubed steak tossed on a sub roll along with onions and mayonnaise, the meat was equivalent to those small $ 2 steaks you see at food lion. It was tough, chewy and also flavorless. The pizza isn’t anything to write home about either. It is what it is, cheap pizza. I’d take a lil’ Caesars pizza over this. It also lacked flavor and seemed no better than something from the frozen aisle. I don’t expect fireworks at every restaurant, but I do expect some effort, I’m not a picky customer, but I honestly thought to myself that this was the worst meal that I’ve ever eaten. Even worst, a waste of money. I’ve never done this, but I’d suggest ordering small to try it before taking these other reviews at face value. I think they’re bogus, but that’s neither here nor there. I’m not suggesting that you boycott the place, but don’t go crazy with a big order like I did or you’ll end up sorely disappointed.

Probably the best pizza and wings I have had in a while. I’m use to Pizza Hut and maybe a chain restaurant pizza, but this pizza place is amazing. I always receive great service, and the food is tasty.

My experience here is that the pizza is okay, not bad, but not great. a few years ago i had a sub and didn’t like it… onions cut too thick, blah tasting meat, halfway through I realized they forgot the cheese. I thought to myself I could make abetter sub at home.

I used to live on Independence Blvd. growing up and I used to save my allowance so I could get a sub from Pembroke Pizza once a week. This place has only gotten better with age. I still live near the Pembroke area and this is my go to place if the family can’t decide on where to eat. The atmosphere is still cozy, but I kind of wish they still had the pinball machine near the entrance from when I was a kid.

I recently learned about this place when I moved to Virginia beach in the pembroke mall area and I had a flyer on my door and Decided to give them a try. Best call I ever made the food was perfect. Ever since moving out here back in March 2015 we have eaten here over 30 times and have yet to have any thing wrong with are order, delivery is always fast, the employees are always polite, and food is always good. I recommend you try the lasagna one of the best I have ever add, good price and comes with this delicious butter garlic bread. Also the philly cheese steak is excellent chunks of nice size seasoned steak not something I used to getting in a philly and it was a good difference in the other philly cheese steak I had. Love it you have to try this place !!

After the new management took over, this place is now one of my favorites. This has really become one of my go to spots for food when I am in the area! Awesome staff and really amazing food! I really love their lasagna!

If it were possible I would give negative stars to this place. First off they said it’d be 45 minutes and it was an hour and half. Second off we called and they lied and said we ordered it 20 minutes ago. This is the technology era. Screen shot provided. The delivery driver smelled like weed which tells me what he was really doing. They didn’t give me an itemized receipt and my friend ordered it on her card and when I told him to wait for her he said that anyone can really sign the receipt. They didn’t even ask for the name on the card when I ordered which I thought was really weird. Now let’s talk about food. The cheese breadsticks were terrible and weren’t even eaten. The pizza was ok but because it took so long it was lukewarm. The wings were the only savior but because the experience was so bad it really made me loose my appetite. Please read the reviews and don’t take the star ratings for face value. You’ll notice a lot of the reviews that are good are almost identical to one another like«they are more than just pizza» which tells me real customers aren’t even reviewing. Great way to end my business trip. Going back to AZ where the service is actually good.

We used a coupon to dine here. The dining area is nice and cozy with 2 flat screens. They even have a Namco(Pac Man, Galaga, etc) arcade cabinet in the pickup area! It’s got that local, traditional vibe to it but without being too old school. We started off with Pippi’s Breadstix which were GREAT! I had their combo pasta, he had the Aphrodite’s Delight pizza and a veggie burger… also GREAT! We took home a few cannolis too. I’m glad we finally checked this place out. Even if you don’t have a coupon, it’s worth going to and we’ll definitely be back soon!

I love this place! Always have a good experience, good service, good food and they are local. Why support a nation wide corporation when some of the best Pizza anywhere is right here. Oh… And they have much more than Pizza, the other dishes that I have tried are well worth checking them out.

I love the angel hair pasta with meat sauce with meatballs. It is the best spaghetti dish that I have eaten in a long time. It reminds me of the days when I was working in actual Italian restaurant with Italian owners and chefs. I love it and will come back for more. I was very thankful for the staff to accommodate 15 people for my son’s 4th birthday. The waitress was awesome. Simple, caring, friendly, and the food was great. No flare, and I love they are local.

Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of our dinners because it was eaten very quickly. This is our«go to» place for pizza in the Virginia beach/Norfolk area. Tonight we wanted more than pizza and got some pasta entrees with a salad to share between my husband and I. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and my husband got the combination pasta. It looked pretty good upon delivery and it tasted really good too. We agreed it was some of the best food we’ve gotten from a «pizza joint» in a while. I will definitely be ordering it again. Its the best place in the area offering broccoli as a topping and I’m pretty picky so that says a lot.

Fantastic pizza and great service. Their strombolis and calzones are authentic and their specialty pizzas are excellent. I’m a particular fan of their BBQ pizza. Great stuff!

Our food and service was excellent! This is a great neighborhood restaurant and we enjoyed it. My salad was cold and crispy and my chicken parm was hot & tasty. I highly recommend this place!

Disgusting place, food, and workers. Take it from an old employee. I love all pizza and couldn’t stand to eat theirs even on my lunch break.

Redemption! Maybe they read Unilocal? This was always one of my goto spots for delivery/takeout and glad to say I gave them another chance and they came though this time with a stomboli chock full of fillings and cooked to perfection. The cheese sticks were once again the best in town. Te delivery was on time and the order correct was great to see this place return to it’s prime!

Under new ownership twice in the last two years. Most recently new owners are not cutting it. I got a pie tonight for pick up that was not right and elected to take it and get out. New owner did not seem to care and said this was what I ordered according to his ticket. Dinning room was fairly busy with no one to serve them since the person doing that was waitressing and answering phones. Waitress broke a glass in front of me in the dinning room and had no time to clean up, told owner and he remained in the kitchen and did nothing. Pie ended up being completely average as you can get for a cheese pizza. This place is doomed and a real life kitchen nightmare in Virginia Beach.

Had dinner here tonight with the family. This is the first time I’ve been in this establishment in quite a number of years. The dinning room was pretty empty when we arrived at 7pm. We ordered 2 large peperoni pies and the kitchen got them to us in less than 15 minutes. You can’t argue with that kind of service. The pie’s themselves were pretty standard. They were 14″ large pizza’s which I thought was a little small. The crust was definitely fresh, and I found the sauce to be a little bitter with a tinge of a bite to it. Not hot nor spicy, but it definitely has a strong tomato acidic after taste about it. There was plenty of cheese and the peperoni was standard fare. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Also the staff greeted us when we arrived and thanked us when leaving. The restaurant was also very clean and appeared well organized. Overall, 4 star’s out of 5. The food didn’t totally wow me, but the service did. I’ll definitely go back and try another item on the menu.
