Jimmy John’s

Super fast. I wish they would give you an actual order number that they call out instead of the menu number. Can get confusing when theres people sitting in different places and orders the same as you but dont know what your place is in line.

So I just received an email from Unilocal today saying that my post had been removed regarding this Jimmy Johns… I have no idea why… Anyway please see my old post from years ago when this place opened. Can’t remember exactly how many stars I gave this place but needless to say I haven’t gone back…
Disappointing. Nothing like the ones I experienced in Harrisonburg. Idk it was lacking in taste or something. :(Just okay.

After battling with the online order that never worked, we called and placed an order. It would have been fine if we were not missing items. After calling we were put on hold for 10 minutes we were hung up on. Totally pissed — having to leave to pick up food now to supplement.

This location is beyond ridiculous. I ordered a beach club sub on a lettuce wrap. I get to my vehicle and realize that the sand which is not wrapped properly and there’s no way I can eat it. I go back inside and tell Sean that it’s not wrapped properly, considering I come there all the time! He told me that it’s supposed to be open and not wrapped? So why is it called a lettuce wrap? I told him I’ve never had it like this before. He tells me that I shouldn’t order the sub again, and never to come in his store because he is the owner, and then calls me a faggot. I will BE CONTACTING the corporate office momentarily as this behavior is not acceptable.

I was in the restaurant today eating and I witnessed the entire exchange between this man and the owner. I have worked in the service industry a long time so I definitely pay attention when I see things like this happening. This guy was acting ridiculous, being rude and accusing the employees of making his sandwich wrong. He was combative and disturbed other customers with his complaining (and cursing) while the owner remained calm and tried to explain that that is how the sandwich is wrapped. Even after all of that, he was refunded his money and only then was he told to never come back. The owner NEVER called this man a faggot or acted discriminatory in any way. That’s a blatant lie and a disgusting ploy to get a franchisee in trouble with the corporate office. Everyone is entitled to post a negative review if they believe the business warrants it, but libeling a specific person is unacceptable. People like this person ruin Unilocal for everyone.

My company ordered for Xmas eve delivery. This was my first time with Jimmy John’s, and was SO pleasantly surprised! My sub had only lettuce, tomato and onion, but it was so good, right up there with my other favorite, Jersey Mikes.

Well, for starters, this is not a review on the food… I love JJ’s sandwiches! However, I have been here multiple times to this location and, while usually rude, today was just such an exceptional example that I felt the need to write in.
I get it, JJ’s is freaky fast, so you’re going to be in a hurry to get me in and out the door with my lunch. However, is it asking too much to also have some common courtesy while doing so? The guy taking my order was speaking so low that I could barely hear what he was asking me, and curious what he could be asking since I’m pretty familiar with my order by now. Then when I inquired, I get so much attitude that the dude barely finishes swiping my card before speaking to the next customer behind me. I had to grab my own cup for a beverage, and I never got a receipt even though I stood there waiting for one.
Needless to say, what I’m pretty sure is my order is finally called, but I’m uncertain because, although it would be in order to be mine, it’s not exactly what I ordered while at the counter. So, I decide to step up and just ask to make sure what’s on it, so I’m not taking someone elses sandwich or upset then, because my order is wrong, and I get my head bitten off by the guy tossing sandwiches up to the counter. Are you serious?
Apparently this was my sandwich and I should have known better than to ask and just take it and be happy. Fine. I did. I got to my car, got back to my office, and while still annoyed at how freaky-​rude these guys were, decide to let it go while I eat my delicious sandwich. …Except that the toppings are all wrong, I didn’t get a pickle, and I’m curious if this really WAS my sandwich or if they were just in too big of a hurry to pay attention. Ugh.

I rarely eat in the restaurant, I normally get my order to go or order for team lunches/​events. Their service is great, super fast and everyone always their food especially those chocolate chunk cookies! Besides the turkey sandwich that cookie is my favorite item on the menu. They do have vegetarian options for those who do not eat meat. If you’re looking for a nicely priced lunch or catering option I recommend Jimmy Johns.

Husband and I have Jimmy Johns ordered to our apartment and they are indeed very fast! We usually order the Turkey Tom and a Big John and they are both excellent! Their French bread is incredible and their sandwiches can become very addicting! Their 7-​grain whole wheat bread is absolutely delicious and you can customize your sandwiches however you want!

Sorry but can’t support this place anymore given that their CEO is an animal killer.

Confession: I am positively addicted to Jimmy John’s. I swear they lace their sandwiches with crack.
This is our office go-​to lunch spot for delivery, especially when we are feeling lazy/it’s raining/​all the above. I order the Beach Club w/​hot peppers-​; I just love how all the flavors compliment each other, the turkey and avocado especially.
Their service is ridiculously fast; they seriously live up to their ‘freaky fast’ motto! I don’t normally have enough time to answer even ~4 emails before they show up with our sandwiches! I can’t even tell you how thankful we are to have them right down the street from us.
Literally my only complaint is I wish they would remember to cut my sandwich, ha! Messy eater problems.

Freaky fast is right. By the time i hang up the phone to place my delivery order, they are at my doorstep within 10 minutes. Definitely worth it for the busy worker bees like myself!
Sandwiches are good, but all foods are ‘deli’ foods. No hot fries, soups or toasted sandwiches here. They DO have a pretty good blt sandwich and paired with the jalapeño chips is to die for. When I went to Jimmy John’s the first time, I was a bit disappointed to find that there were no fries, no salads, only cold subs but when I gave them a chance again and knew what to expect, I’ve only left happy and have returned as a happy delivery-​waiting patron.
Awesome service and good food, definitely in my weekly lunch rotation!

Let’s face it, they’re willing to deliver a single sandwich. You have to give three stars for that alone.
I want to be a fan of this place, but generally my sandwiches are underwhelming. I’m not sure if it’s the quality of ingredients or something else — I’m completely baffled. If you need a sammy and you’re too lazy to drive elsewhere, this will be your choice.

I have ordered from this location maybe three or four times, as I traverse McLean semi-​regularly. I used to eat at Jimmy John’s while in college, so I gave this location some notice once discovered.
My experience is as follows:
Most of the time, the McLean location is quick and efficient. The sandwiches are as expected. I especially like the fact that their bread is always fresh, as well as the meats and vegetables, and the dill pickles are always a good side order, aside from their branded kettle-​cooked chips (Jalapeño is typically my go-​to).
All in all, not much to say… the sandwiches are hearty, delicious, inexpensive, and the food arrives quickly. Not too much more is required in order to enjoy your lunch.
If you’re tetering on whether or not to order a sandwhich from Jimmy John’s, I can say that your experience will be nothing short of expectant — which these days, does not always carry a negative connotation.

The Italian night club I think is what I had. And it wad pretty good but they have the healthier version at jersey mike’s. This sandwich had to much mayo. And this pay would have gotten a 4 but the young guys working at this store weren’t acting professional. They were sitting and leaning on top of the counters sitting on the counters with there A… Then when I asked for a military discount they seemed annoyed. And when my order was announced they said something I didn’t here it and they laughed about something.
Just because this is a simple job at a sandwich shop don’t mean standards have to drop. Can’t look and ghetto behind the counter. The CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I WON’T BE BACK TO THIS LOCATION.

I’ve ordered twice from this location and love their sandwiches. Most recently I ordered a Vito on french bread and it was yummy. The bread tasted fresh, the meats were yummy… it was very filling. I am again impressed. I defiantly love the hot peppers ~ a must for the Vito!
I also got the Salt and Vinegar chips, which happen to be nice and crispy. Better than your average chip. I had the jalapeño ones last time and those were great too! Highly recommend the chips!
I love the ease of ordering online… followed by speedy delivery. I hate dealing with the lunchtime traffic, and losing my parking spot. so JJ’s is a great option when I forget my lunchbox at home.

I used to love JJ’s, but I’m not sure I’ll be back. I’m spoiled by the Italian store which is right next to my house. I ordered a Vito, with extra meat (pretty sure they forgot I paid $ 1.75 extra for this — I got 4 slices of meat). For the same price, I could have the same sandwich with better quality meat and a lot more of it at the Italian store.
I also thought I liked the pickles but nope, won’t make that mistake again.
Anyway, good for fast delivery I guess, but honestly I can wait for better quality food. A protein bar would fill me up more

I love Jimmy John’s delivery. I order from this location at least twice a week. This being the Tyson’s area, I HATE losing my parking space and then fighting traffic to go to lunch.
The great thing about JJ’s is its convenience. Their online ordering is soso easy and it saves your address and your credit card so that the next time you order, it literally takes a few seconds to complete.
The best part of ordering from JJ’s is that the sandwich arrives, LITERALLY TEN MINUTES AFTER CONFIRMATION. Its so awesome, I order and its at my office almost before I hit ‘place order’.
The sammys are pretty big so I generally eat half and save the other half for the next day (portion control!). Although its not the most spectacular sandwich ever and occasionally they have known to screw the toppings up, its certainly better than Subway and I don’t have to take off my office slippers to get it.

When I go to the Doctors and waiting for my ride. When around 11:00am — 1:00pm I order Jimmy sub to deliver to the lobby of the doctors front lobby. There cold cut sub out of this world. Sweet Tea is yummy. chocolate Chip cookies good. I haven’t been to a Jimmy John restaurant but there delivery service fast and friendly.

Frightening fast! Oh yea sandwich of nomnoms. This time went with classical cold sandwich pick. Love the meaty combination of sliced turkey breast and applewood smoked ham on french roll. My kind of cold sandwich with great light flavor made my taste buds super happy. Look at how thick that thing is, they pack a lot in those super sandwiches. I did add some bacon to my nomdwich. This place was so fast that the order was done before I even walked to pick up window. Frightening Fast! Give them extra points just for that. Don’t fear the speed, eat it
