Business Owner

Carri opened Kittyland Resort in hopes of providing a very needed service for Kitty care only. In the hopes of providing individual care for cats only, where there wont be barking dogs in the next room. Carri owned Carri’s Critter Sitting Service for 20 years and built a huge pet care cliental caring for peoples pets while they were away from them. She takes her years of experience and has built a successful resort for cats.

Love this place! Very clean and secure. I always get emotional dropping my girl off but I know they treat her as thier own. I’ve been going here for about 2 yrs now and it’s so cool they remember my baby. Best part is when I pick her up and for a cat she actually seems to miss me.

I just had my kitty stay there for a week and I am very happy with the services. The first thing I noticed is that the place is super clean and no animal smell whatsoever. My cat is a bit sensitive and I was hesitant about boarding him somewhere, but he was extremely well cared for by the owners. She seems to «get» cats, which is important.
I would recommend this place if you need to board your cat. You can relax on your vacay and know your baby is well cared for. And the price was great too!

This was one of the only places I felt comfortable leaving my cat Sugar for a few months. Carri did such a beautiful job caring for my cat. When she returned to me, she looked healthier and for some reason her fur coat looked even better than before. She definitely has a magic touch. I 100% recommend using Kittyland! My cat was so well-​cared for at Kittyland that I know I won’t ever have to worry about him when he’s there in the future. Carrie really understands cats and he took to her right away. The place is very clean and I love it that he can be let out of his condo at times and go exploring. The condos are great, quite spacious and multi-​layer so the cat box is placed away from the food and his bed. I couldn’t be happier to have found Kittyland.

My cat hates being away from home so I was really worried about taking him to a cat hotel. However, after settling down on day one, he seemed to love being at Kittyland and was not happy to leave when I picked him up! The owner Carri is really nice and the place is really clean. She lets the cats out to walk around and was very accommodating with my schedule. I also thought the price was very reasonable for her services. I would definitely recommend taking your cat to Kittyland Resort whenever you have to be away!

I cannot say enough good things about Carrie and Kittyland. Our family was moving out of our home for tenting and close of escrow so we boarded our two cats. Of course, when the time came to wrangle them, one cat disappeared. Carrie stood by all day waiting for my hubby to find the cat and bring him in, which happened in the after hours. She also let us board for a not yet determined time after our initial reservation because our escrow didn’t close on time like planned. Kittyland was a lifesaver for us during this stressful time and Carrie was so flexible and wonderful to work with! I highly recommend this place! Thanks Carrie!

We took our two cats (now sadly just one) to Kittyland for three years now. We were so happy to have found the place and Carri! She was able to administer sub q fluids to our tabby which was the reason we went to her initially. When we couldn’t get Gabe in one year at Kittyland, we had to board him elsewhere. We were charged over double what Kittyland does, and he was put in a cage in a bare hallway for a week. We were so worried about him when we left, we couldn’t enjoy our trip. At Kittyland, our cats enjoyed fish to look at, time outside of their huge condos, treats, care, and love.

I had never kenneled my kitties before, and I was very apprehensive doing so when we were at the end of closing escrow on our home and had to stay with relatives for a few weeks. Carrie was great and let me come visit my kitties as often as I wanted. I found the facility to be clean and spacious. She was very kind and is very accommodating to your schedule (we had some issues with our home and the kitties were there longer than expected). The kennels are large and she even let my kitties out all night so they could roam around and play! The price is very reasonable. I will continue to recommend her business and if I ever need to board my cats, this is where they will go!

I love Carri! My 3 cats love Carri! I’ve never boarded my cats, but she’s been taking care of me and my 3 cats for over a year, and I’ve been hiring her fairly frequently as a cat sitter to come over twice a day when I’m out of town for an overnighter or week-​long trip.
Carri’s cleaned litter-​boxes, vacuumed scattered litter, administered medicine, retrieved my mail, and called me to let me know how the cat gang is doing. Another endorsement is that Ventura locals have recommended her before they knew I was already hiring her.

Kittyland charges $ 18 per night to board your cat (s) in a spacious cage, which I think is very cheap, considering most places put your cats in cages the size of a carrier. Plenty of roaming/​stretch space, two spare beds, and a separate room for the litter box. The owner is very friendly and impassioned about her job.
The resort layout is well-​thought out, spacious, and clean. The cats are individually permitted to play in the playland. People have to buzz in order to be let in.
My cat was in the same cage when I left him. I’ll be returning to Kittyland.
