Granite Transformations

Granite transformations did a solid job. I used them to replace three bathroom countertops, and overall there is a night-​and-​day improvement. The work wasn’t perfect — specifically the undermount sinks were installed with a significant gap between the sink and counter, which was not caulked fully and would have leaked. It was a quick fix, but I had to use more caulk than I would have liked. However unlike previous reviewers, the seams on my countertops look great. The representatives I worked with were helpful and responsive. Knowing I’d be doing the plumbing myself, the granite installers went out of their way to make sure my new faucets would be easy to install. They were also very kind to my kids, who had a million questions for them!
Scheduling my install was a little crazy — they had to come back on two separate days (three weeks apart), and in both cases I didn’t know they were coming until the evening prior. I could have declined the install because of the short notice, but then I would’ve had to wait 2 – 4 more weeks for my counters. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience, but since you have to empty all your drawers, etc., it would have been nice to have a bit more time.
Overall, if I found myself looking for a quick, relatively inexpensive fix, I would use Granite Transformations again.

Cannot personally recommend Granite Transformation Ventura, from the recent experience installing quartz countertops in the kitchen and front bath, as well as installing new laminate facings on cabinets and new cabinet doors in the kitchen and front bath.
Was so very disappointed with the overall quality and finish of the work. It just didn’t match/​live up to all the reviews I relied upon. They had to come back four different times to address one quality problem or another. The lips of *all* the countertops that were installed were not finished… a friend was running her fingers along the edge of one countertop and almost cut her finger. It took two extra trips to have **all** the countertop lips sanded and made more smooth – but definitely not like the sample on display at the local Home & Garden Show, or in the showroom. Then when I was cleaning globs of «stuff» off the kitchen island countertop after a «GT fix-​it trip,» (the countertops were always left «dirty» for me to clean) a small piece of the counter flaked off! It wasn’t a glob – it was part of the countertop! (!!!) So another trip out to address that was done and had also found another small piece on another section of the kitchen countertop near the stove area, that was addressed at the same time. The «fixed» areas were very dull but was assured when they dried, would be shiny and blend with the rest of the countertops. Nope – in fact, the stuff used actually shrank/​sunk down into the indent and was still dull, not shiny, and did not blend.**

It seemed as if the owner wanted to satisfy this customer’s concerns but after each «fix» trip, would later discover not all the problems had been addressed/​fixed. Then received lip service about the company’s stellar ratings. Well… this customer’s experience with them doesn’t explain how or why they managed that.
Truly believed this renovation would be the smartest, most affordable way to go with a company that has such a stellar on-​line rating. But for this customer, it certainly wasn’t the best way to go after all. The craftsmanship and quality of the cabinet refacing/​laminating was not good. Expected professional results… if this is how all cabinet refacing turns out… wouldn’t recommend it. Very sharp edges that would (& did) scrape/​cut skin weren’t smoothed down… most areas were eventually addressed after two or three trips – and is better but «better» really isn’t good enough in this case.
The kitchen flooring, which is old and to hopefully be replaced in a year or so, wasn’t covered up by GT’s employees so is now in worse condition than before because there are bits of glue globs, or whatever, definitely stuck/​imbedded on the flooring in some spots; and the newer flooring in the front bath now contains a few tiny splatters of touch-​up cabinet paint that won’t come off. I could go on and on. (This was all shared with the local company’s owner and is well documented.)
The work began around the middle of August and finally sometime in October, I just gave up. I did pay the balance of $ 8200 – but wanted to withhold half of it. However, at that point my experience dealing with GT and the owner caused a mistrust of the company and the possibility of being turned over to a collection agency. Was only given a $ 200 discount for all my troubles. That was a big slap in the face. But with the lousy experience encountered, not surprised.
**GT owner offered a fifth trip out to attempt to fix or replace the kitchen island countertop but this customer had no more patience or confidence with GT and its staff…

Outstanding in every way. Service from start to finish. I am so happy with the way I was treated, and how they delivered exactly what they promised. Done in two days, and I had a lot of counter to cover.

This business name says it all! This product has transformed my 1990’s kitchen from it’s awful white tiles, with even more awful grout lines, into a beautiful 21^st century kitchen! No demolition required and the magic transformation took less than a day!
We had refinished our cabinets ourselves and couldn’t wait to have the new countertops installed. Jennifer in the office was very helpful with our color choice and with scheduling our installation. Was fun and interesting to watch the template being made. Our installers, Luke and Nick, were fabulous! They arrived on time, were very knowledgeable about how to solve any plumbing or installation issue, and were extremely neat! They were patient with all my questions and didn’t mind having an audience with a camera! They both cleaned as they worked, and Nick? even vacuumed the sawdust from the sink installation with one hand as he used the saw with the other hand! I must admit that the kitchen looked so amazing when they finished that I cried!
I definitely recommend this company! There are so many color choices and the product is beautiful! The owners and staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, no high pressure sales here. Just a great product at a fair price, and they are right here in Ventura!

We used Granite Transformations a few years ago. It’s a process where granite is placed on top of the existing counter tops, The job turned out beautiful and is still looking like the day it was installed. Also, Terrence went the extra mile to give us good customer service, when we had an issue with our sink, which wasn’t even manufactured by Granite Transformations. I highly recommend this company if you are looking to have your kitchen updated. They also do bathrooms as well.

Mike from Granite Transformations is very nice and professional. He helped us choose our colors and move forward with our kitchen upgrade. The whole experience was simple and quick. They came out and did a template and the install only took a day. People rave about our kitchen when they come over and I couldn’t be happier! Thanks Mike and Terrance for seeing it through. Highly recommended!

We had our cabinets refaced by Granite Transformations and they are beautiful! We started with old, pinky beige laminate that was awful and now have beautiful wood finish cabinets that look amazing. We were lucky in that we had good cabinet frames, drawers, etc so we just needed doors and the facing for all the other parts of the cabinets, sides, toe kicks, etc. We had a big challenge with two radius doors in the corners but they figured out how to resurface them. The installer, Russ was great. It’s not cheap, but the quality is terrific and we are very happy.

I have wanted to have Granite Transformations install their product in my dated kitchen since 2009 when I first heard of them. They were not coming as far as Orcutt at that time, but now they will! Lucky me. I had my kitchen done and it looks AMAZING! From the first visit, the making of the template, to Nick and Miles, my installers, this was a wonderful experience. Ashley in the office, Mike and Terrance who bid the job and built the template, Nick and Miles our installers, were all wonderful. They were informative, hard working and professional. The job was completed in a day and a half, clean up was done each day and the end product was worth the price and more! I highly recommend this product and company. My kitchen is now in the 21^st century!

Granite Transformations Ventura had already installed new counters a couple years earlier in the kitchen of a condo we recently purchased. We decided to extend the kitchen counters, and hired GT to cover the new counters so that the whole kitchen would look like one finished product. That was what they did, and it came out looking great. Perfectly matched up with the previous work. Terrance was quite willing to take on this small one day add on, explained exactly how their install would work, and gave detailed instructions so that the people building out the counters would have it prepped exactly as needed for GT. This company was great to work with, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to upgrade a kitchen or bathroom without having to demolish a lot of existing outdated tile.

I was fortunate to choose GT to do my kitchen counters last year. From the initial visit to the showroom to the final inspection following installation, the team was nothing but professional, efficient and sincerely we’re concerned with my satisfaction with the end result. In fact I was so satisfied with the product that I have just completed my three bathrooms counter tops, tub surround and shower. The results are beautiful. I am so glad that I had this done and cannot recommend it enough. Thanks everyone at GT for a great job and I look forward to working with you in the future.

Our initial meeting was in the showroom where Terrance introduced us to G.T. products. He was professional & informative. After an in-​home consultation, we chose to hire G.T. in lieu of 2 other kitchen refurbishing companies. Customer service, quality & price were the reasons. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! Terrance’s crews; counter top Steve & particularly Mike (fabrication & cabinet refacing, etc.) were TOP NOTCH. Respectful, trustworthy, CLEAN & proficient. We will call on G.T. again for our master bath remodel.

My landlord recently hired Granite Transformations to renovate our kitchen. They re-​faced existing cabinets, installed new cabinet doors and brand new drawers, and constructed a completely new 3-​foot cabinet to increase storage and counter space.
A new composite-​granite counter-​top was made to fit over the existing tile — the installation is perfectly level. The workmen installed a new stainless steel sink, too. The entire job took about 5 days.
The workmen were polite and neat. Terrance made sure to finish the job to our complete satisfaction. I don’t know how much this renovation cost, but it is a BIG IMPROVEMENT over our original kitchen. We love the new look and the composite counter top is very easy to clean. I highly recommend Granite Transformations to anyone looking to renovate their kitchen or bathroom.
